Solid Home Depot with lots of parking, at least when I visited on a weekday mid morning. Came here to get some packaging boxes for work and the best bet for the cost was to get 2 smaller medium sized boxes to Frankenstein to make a bigger box since a bigger box would have easily been around $40. This Home Depot seems newer than the ones closer to me which is neat. The layout is completely different too with more fancier sheds on the outside and the entrance being sort of in a corner than the standard rectangular ones I'm used to. Many more self check outs too which is nice. Workers were helpful and seemed like they were having a good time at work since they were sing song chanting the calls for when they're driving a fork lift and such. read more

I havent been to Home Depot in a minute but wanted to get a toilet paper holder and some disposable gloves. Found parking in the front and it was pretty quiet when I walked in and the space is clean and it was not too crowded. I was able to locate the items using their app so I don't get loss and of course there is self checkout. read more

This is my neighborhood Home Depot and I go there often. The store is well-stocked and the staff is very helpful. Last night (Friday, January 30, 2026) I went into the Appliance Department with a long list of Kitchen and Laundry Appliances and Plumbing Fixtures. I try to shop locally as much as possible and I had the greatest of Luck that day - a wonderful Design Consultant whose name is Melissa Smith was in the Appliance Department! Melissa was so Knowledgable, Helpful and made the entire buying experience Fun. Melissa showed me the difference between several models of Dishwashers, Refrigerators, Stoves and Washing Machines. I can't remember working with someone who really knows their product line as well as Melissa Smith. I ended-up getting much better Appliances at a great price (I came in under my original budget) and I put everything on a new Home Depot Charge Card that has really good interest rates. I cannot be happier with my purchase and with the Exemplary Customer Service from Melissa Smith. I will definitely keep shopping at Home Depot in Whittier. Bravo Melissa Smith ! read more

One star is too good. I needed to rent a moving truck and U-Haul was overbooked. So I called Home Depot. I was told they had what I need so I head over. I was met with intrusive questions. Too intrusive. You go to U-Haul and it's your I'd and debit card. Home Depot wants a laundry list of personal information they don't need. But I was also greeted with horrible customer service from a rude unprofessional employee. I got outta there quick. read more

My first time to this HD! The floor plan was unique to the general floor plans of other HDs. I asked for help and he was spot on with both requests. He even offered to walk my there. I politely declined. After two more extremely positive interactions. The store was now closed and I was not quite finished. I stumbled upon Armando (Night Replenishment Manager). It was so easy to understand why I had just received 3 exceptional interactions prior to meeting Armando! I have to believe all managers at this HD had the Top Shelf "Respect and Professionalism" that Armando displayed during our quick and complete dialogue. I absolutely will be back! And looking forward to it! The store's appearance inside and out looked closer to the daily opening instead of at the end of the day (Jan 31, 2026, super busy as it was the last day to return purchases from Nov, 2025!) Wow! Don't come here if you need keys made! The store is under staffing and customers will need to wait in excess of 15 minutes for any sort of attention, only be told to wait. I can't blame the employees, they were very nice, it's the manage who needs to find a way to meet customer needs while treating their employees well. On 7/26/2025 I had a pick up order I had made earlier that week for pick up on Saturday. I arrived as I'm waiting for items from the project to be pulled my dad and his friend who happens to work in construction were helping us out with a project in our home. As I come out of the store I notice a private security guard taking pictures of my dad, his friend, my partner and his truck in which they are loading into (pick up parking) he said he was taking pictures thinking they were day labors. We are very grateful that Kimberly, Millwork Specialist, was able to assist us with ordering our security screen door. This young lady was ultra patient, very professional, and knowledgable. It was very apparent that she was not only skilled at her job, she also enjoyed assisting customers. Our security door was ordered and placed on the Home Depot credit card with promotional financing and we were also able to have it professionally installed and delivered by Home Depot. Their garden section is full of plants and flowers that will enhance you home. Most of these plants are reasonably priced and quite attractive. We have made several purchases and returns at this Home Depot and they have all been hassle free. I came here today around 11:47 to return a bug zapper that i purchased. I didn't like that it had a short cord so decided to get something else. I approached the Return Desk and there was no one in line. I waited for the Return Desk Associate to call me over but she appeared to be doing other things that didn't pertain to helping a paying customer. When she finally called be over, there was no hello or greet, she barely made eye contact. She asked if there was something wrong with the product in a very rude manner, I in turn said no!! She treated me as if I stole something or had no reason to return an item that I didn't like. I started walking away and then rudely again asked if I wanted my receipt and threw it on the desk. I have never received such horrific, rude, and poor etiquette customer service in my entire life!! I blame this on the Management Team for not training these individuals correctly. This woman needs to be reprimanded immediately and trained correctly on how to engage with paying clientele. Worst experience today with home depot staff in the equipment rental section with Derrick. I tried calling to speak to the manager Steve and was told he's on vacation but I can speak with the assistant manager. I was then hung up on. The staff at this location have no knowledge of the equipment they rent out, it's sooooo frustrating having to drive to different locations to piece things together. Asked for 1/2 gallon of paint ? Reply we sell quarts or gallons 2 quarts would cost more than 1 gallon ! So they forced me to buy more paint than I need ( I took a gallon ) They proceeded to want my personal information phone & email ! They did not ask politely they automatically assumed that would give it to them. ( not interested in receiving unwanted emails or texts ) or my information being sold to home improvement contractors I then selected multi pack paint brushes disposable priced $5.97 or so ! Got to register they rang up over $10 Cashier Kim basically said that's the price take it or leave it. I told her tag said other wise ! She could care less I explained that was a weights & measure violation ! She said ya so ? Challenging me to call weights & measures ! I don't think she has been trained on service at all or she does not care ! 1 violation can be very costly ! Home Depot has plenty of pricing violations throughout store ! I suggest they audit store & consider increasing the allotted labor for pricing coordinators PS - trip was to buy a few pieces of 2X4 I needed them cut 2 other customers waiting for service at wood cutting station ! I just bought a brand new refrigerator from Home Depot and the freezer door seal isn't sealing properly. Unfortunately it's not something we noticed in the 48 hours of delivery. It started making a loud noise and that's how we noticed. We called Home Depot and they said since it was after 48 hours they had to send someone out and when they came out they said it's bad but there's nothing we can do so call Frigidaire. I didn't expect to have a problem with a brand new unit. I won't be buying from Home Depot again I'm going back to Best Buy. The service is bad and they aren't helpful at all. Beware if you buy an appliance inspect from top to bottom inside and out and check the seal on the doors to make sure they are sealing properly or you will get a defective unit and will have to wait weeks to get anything replaced or fixed. Alysa was restocking some items, and when I asked where I could find specific sod I was looking for, she literally walked me over to it and helped me purchase what I was looking for. I've got to tell you, I called the location in Commerce, La Mirada, Downey (a few more locations), and then switched to Lowe's (booo!!) in Pico Rivera, and then the other location in Norwalk, which I couldn't get through to anyone. This was the only location where I could actually talk to a live person who verified they had what I was looking for. This is my new go-to for gardening and landscape! Check your items for quality before you check out! We come here very often since my boyfriend does a lot of projects. They have a great & lax return policy but it is super annoying to have to come back. We made the mistake of not checking closely for quality and realized once we drove away that there was a rip on top of the tube! This made all the silicone on the tube of the tube rock hard. While we were checking out in the self check out , other customers had noticed an ice chest they had grabbed was also damaged. Check your items throughly before you purchase! read more

Tonight I went into Home Depo to do a return. Which I didn't have a reciet, but I bought it with my Home Depo card so no biggie. The first lady was so rude my sister and I share account and I couldn't find my card. The lady was so rude you would of thought my return came straight of her pay check. Any ways I was unable to do my return. So I got upset cause I didn't want to come back. So I stared searching for it and picky me I found it. I was pretty grateful that the girl wasn't up there. But her friend Nancie was. Boy howdy was she even ruder. I guess she was having her friend back or something. Cause I was trying to be super nice. But Not Nancie. All of the Home Depot's are pretty much the same. They all offer a very similar variety of construction and home-improvement items. This location is no different. As all Home Depot's tend to be, this is a very large structure full of all kinds of stuff. One thing I would note about this location, which is a bit different from many of the other Home Depot's in the greater L.A./OC area, is that it's design is a little bit strange. Most Home Depot's are very linear in their aisles. Inside this business the isles go off at angular directions. In some ways, this design makes things a little bit harder to find the items you're looking for if you're new to the store. It's no big deal, but just keep that in mind as you may have to walk around a little bit more than you would at most Home Depot's that have everything in straight lines. One of the kind of curious things I find about this Home Depot is that you often find teenagers and young adults seemingly just hanging out in and around some of the aisles. I really don't know what the reason for this is, but it is something that I've noticed whenever I've gone in to this particular business. Overall, it's a good place to get what Home Depot has to offer. If you want those construction or home-improvement items this is one of the places to go. read more

I live in Orange County and enjoy great employee service always. First time I encountered what I call a "combative and argumentative" employee, who wanted to fight me?.. I am in Healthcare a local Physician and I am a 60yr old man who runs everyday and my BMI is 22. The employee (CJ) at paint a younger man in his 30's BMI at way over 30 has major anger issues. I won't be coming back to this place, I will go to lowes as I don't see another in the immediate area. I visited this Home Depot store on 07/31. I had an amazing experience with John, one of the store's employee. I needed assistance loading some step stones onto my shopping cart so I was sent over John. Not only did he help load everything onto my cart and car, he helped choose the best looking stones. He took the time to move every stone until he found the ones I liked, he loaded it onto my shopping cart, and helped me load it into my car as well. He provided exceptional customer service and exceeded my expectation as a customer. He went above and beyond. I will be returning to this Home Depot location :) read more

This review is only for today and only for one person, because usually, everyone is very helpful. I had about 10 small items. The checker rang me up and completed the transaction. I wish I had gotten her name but she was very young and thin and worked register 9 by the door. I believe it was 9. Anyway I looked in the cart and everything was loose. She didn't ask me if I needed a bag. So I asked her if I could have a bag. She looked at me and said " yeah, get it". I was surprised by her response. So I said " you're going to make me bag my stuff?" She said "yeah cos it's so much work." As if I was being lazy. It wasn't worth arguing over so I bagged my stuff. When I finished I said that I had never seen that before. She made a comment which I didn't hear and then said "have a nice day." That came off as being smug more than a genuine greeting. The a few hours later I needed to return two mini blinds. They could not find it in there system. That was great I need the right size. Made it so easy. I've had the pure luck at least four times of running into him on a trip to HD. Now let's be honest, that is usually not the case in retail/customer service type of jobs. Even when I hadn't yet asked for help, Sam offered assistance. For sure it must have been the quizzical look on my face that let him know I needed it, lol. It makes such a huge difference when an employee follows the 5' rule. Which is, if you see a customer within 5' of yourself, acknowledge them. It's funny how you come thru the wrong entrance and you have 10 employees come at your face and literally kick you out once your inside already but you can spend 30 mins or more looking for help on the isles and no one is ever available. Maybe managers should place more people on the isles rather than place half of their staff at the exit. Clear example of them doing justice to their slogan. DO IT YOURSELF!!! read more
