5 out of 5 I saw a posting on FB group Salem Bites - for Midvalley Foodies reviewing MOUNTAIN MIKE'S PIZZA. I read the comments. Then I went to google maps to look at their reviews. I'd advise others to follow my pattern. My review of the establishment as follows. (See photos). The establishment was clean. The salad bar and pizza serving area is exceptionally clean, good job guys. Cleaning of the tables was not exceptionally fast but proportionate to the customer flow and employee staff ratio (minor point). Standard salad bar selections, no fresh meat options like some establishments in the past would have (pre covid) see photos. However, I was pleased with the fresh salad options. Pizza buffet options were numerous with another pizza being added every few minutes enticing me to sample yet another variety. The pizza was served on their traditional crust. Not to thin, or to thick. I was pleased. Since this was a buffet, I was not counting the ratio of topping to the square coverage of the pizza (see photos), but was satisfied with each piece I tried. For a lunch buffet with quality pizza and salad, it's worth it. Finally, a pizza lunch buffet in Salem. (Other details) Friendly staff. 6 tv screens. 15 customers present/but clean establishment. Walked in around lunch time of a Tuesday to order a pizza to go. I had heard the Mountain Mikes has a large pizza discount on Tuesdays, but this location does not. The place was quite empty for weekday lunch -- two tables with people eating and a couple more waiting for to-go orders. Loud-ish 90's dance music. The place was clean and tables were all bussed. Ordering was pleasant. Wait time for my pizza was reasonable - about 15 minutes. The pizza had a good medium-thick crust and was pleasantly crispy on the bottom. The amounts of cheese and toppings were adequate, although not so abundant as shown in their menu photos. There was very little sauce and the pizza had not been baked long enough to brown the cheese. The taste was a bit bland - I think more sauce would have helped as tomato and herb flavor was lacking. Overall, the pizza was mid-range OK but I don't think I'll be back. I ordered the large (14") McKinley combination and simply did not find it supportive of the $32.99 price. read more

Went on Monday, MLK day and they were fairly busy for the lunch buffet. Only one person working the front of the house. Salad bar was in desperate need of restocking, had to wait for pizza on the buffet. No clean forks. The kitchen seemed to be rushing to get pizza out so it was luke warm and the cheese unmelted. The pepperoni pizza was the best pizza I've ever had and I'm 68 yrs old. We had it delivered and it came hot and ooey-gooey!

The food was amazing, we had a mountain size pizza and it was cheap for it's size and will probably fit 6 or 5 people full, overall amazing

This is not good pizza and the buffet is unremarkable except to say they don't seem to offer pepperoni pizza and the salad bar is lame. Drinks cost extra and they only have pepsi. Serve and bus your own table. Old rock music for some reason. read more

We were fortunate enough to attend Mountain Mike's friends and family event. The pizza was excellent, great flavor profiles and perfectly executed. The fresh salad bar provided nice, healthy options and the service was warm and friendly. All you eat lunch was a good price! Yummy pizza and good atmosphere. Liked the kinds of pizza they had put out.

Easy order, delivery was quick. Pizza looked great, was super hot. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a chicken bacon ranch. Both were super good. Dough, sauce, cheese all tasted good. I like the small pepperoni. Chicken bacon ranch was proportioned well, with no over powering ingredients. Only minor complaint and hardly a complaint was the ingredients for didn't quite go as far to the edge as I think it should have. Their dough is not super thin so it's a little doughy but good. There Were About (3) Families Eating @ The Tables, But There Was No One In Front Of Us When We Ordered. We Wanted To "Create" Our Own Small Pizza. We wanted to try Mountain Mikes Pizza. Very disappointment. To started when they got our online delivery order wrong. Mini pepperoni with pineapple and light sauce. Got a cheese pizza with pineapple and extra sauce, no pepperoni, I couldn't eat it. Our other pizza was suppose to have extra sauce and it was light sauce. Both were cold. The wings were super dry & no meat. Out of the 6 wings there was only 1 drum stick. The garlic knots dough had a weird flavor. Garlic and something sweet. Took one bit and threw it in the garage. I called the store as soon as I noticed the order was wrong. Manager was nice and offered $10 store credit then she up'd it to $15. After tasting the garlic knots and looking closer at food we will not be back. Food is terrible and we paid $46 for it. The only review on Yelp for them so far says there have great flavor profiles... pleeez! the sauce tastes like a canned tomato paste and the dough had a sweet taste that was weird. For the same price you can get Paddingtons Pizza just up the street or any other pizza place. read more
