We've hired The Home Team several times for projects the past 4-5 years and did so again this week, taking advantage of one of their Spring Specials. Booking was easy - send an email detailing the work requested and they send a bid (granted, they've done work for us before so that speeds things up.) This week's projects incl. power washing our deck & driveway, a total low-pressure clean up of our composite roof, rinsing the gutters and cleaning the windows and skylights on both stories. Everything looks great! Rodrigo showed up (appropriately masked) promptly on both days, was friendly & thorough, worked safely and with care for our landscaping and did a great clean-up (shovels full of moss from the driveway power washing!) after the work was done. Home maintenance projects are definitely one of those things where you get what you pay for. Go with a cheap fly-by-night operation and you'll get what you pay for. I have used the Home Team for my last time. We had our roof and gutters cleaned. So many tiles were knocked of my roof by the pressure sprayer - I worry now about a roof leak. I sent photos of the pieces of tile to the company. (These many pieces were what was left in my yard AFTER the cleaner cleaned up. I'd hate to see how much of my roof he picked up before in found out.) The company simply went on the defense - saying stupid stuff like that's what happens with a new roof. WHAT?! I learned of The Home Team through a ValPak coupon for roof cleaning, and contacted them to schedule an appointment. I spoke with someone who asked a number of questions about the job, and then told me someone would come by my house the next day to look the roof over. He stated that they would then contact me the following day with an estimate. Several days went by with no word. When I did hear from them, it was a voicemail stating they'd been unable to make it out to my house, and that they hadn't even written down what I wanted an estimate for (I had been on the phone with the guy from Home Team for several minutes answering a bunch of questions - what had he done with the info?)! I called back and told them I wanted an estimate for a roof cleaning/moss removal, and they asked many of the same questions they had the first time. I was then told someone would be out on Monday to look at the roof and create an estimate. A little over an hour later, they called back with the estimate (I seriously doubt they had time to run out to my place that fast, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume maybe I'm wrong on that), but stated that they'd written my email address incorrectly and the email they'd sent with the estimate had been returned. At that point, I decided not to hire this company. If you can't handle the critical phase of beginning our working relationship any better than this, you're not going to get my business (or money) at all. read more

Office was unprofessional when I requested to use the Angie's List coupon below that is still available online. Home Team denied the request. I indicated this would be reflected in my reviews, and one representative told me it would be honored. A later email response said they would not and that it is the responsibility of the customer to inquire about coupon validity before scheduling a job. I do not really agree. Bob was professional and polite. We were getting ready to list our house so were under a tight timeframe; he worked us into the schedule during a busy time of year. The only reason I gave a 4 for responsiveness is because he his scheduler was on vacation so part of the process took a few days...completely understandable in my book. The Home Team technician arrived about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. I appreciate punctuality. He cleaned the gutters and then moved on to the windows. We have a large 2-story house with a walk-out basement and lots of windows. With other companies, washing the windows has taken 2-3 hours, using long-handled tools/squeegees. That works, okay. But the Home Team technician spent at least 5 hours washing my windows, by hand, inside and out, using a ladder to get to the upper floor. What a difference -- they positively sparkle! The tracks are perfect -- that's never happened with another provider. He was also polite and took pride in his work. I give them my highest recommendation. Thank you, Home Team! read more

If it wasn't for all the cracks (the driveway is 25 years old.) Honestly, I know they can do more than for which I hired them. It's been a few years back, and I can't even remember what happened, but I was extremely upset and let him know about it. Then, he called me back calling me all kinds of names in the book. Wow! HORRIBLE experience. The owner needs lessons on customer service. Hired to wash windows and demoss roof. Window washer claimed he could not get our windows clean because of paint overspray and too difficult but did the best he could. I hired another window washer a few days later who was half the price and was able to get all my windows spotless. Hose from the pressure washer scraped all the paint off my railings and stain on deck stairs. The owner came out to take a look and when I brought up the windows and having to have them redone he said he was not going to make a concession or discuss, he already heard about it from my realtor. I told him as an owner these are things he should know because I had to have the work redone and paid twice . Proceeded to tell me he was the owner and didn't have time to listen to my complaining. WOW! I was shocked. I told him he was not going to be disrespectful to me and I asked him to leave, where he proceeded to say "God your a bitch" and i repeated that he really needed to leave. I have worked with lots of contractors over the years and never had an interaction like this. Would be have treated me this way with my husband standing next to me? I don't think so. read more

Had Jesus from The Home Team come out to install a bathroom fan which required a bit of extra work getting it mounted and ducted through the attic properly. He was extremely professional and definitely went the extra mile by also ensuring the egress vent on the roof was in good shape. Only issue was the delay in communications around scheduling and what our expectations should be, which I'm sure was due to the timing of the work during a busy summer and that we're likely on the far side of their service area. I would give ZERO stars if I could! Disappointed from the start! They no showed on the first appointment to come out and give me a quote! Even though my house is within a couple miles of the business! Called me after the fact when I took the day off work to be home! I did give them the opportunity to reschedule. Then sent me a quote for $10k to paint the interior of my 1700 sq ft home!! $2k per room! Absolutely outrageous considering I have other quotes for less than half that amount!! I had the Home Team clean/pressure wash my roof for the annual fall cleaning. I normally do this and decided to find someone else to do it this year - especially since 1/4 of the roof had a good deal of heavy moss on it. The Home Team did a GREAT job cleaning the roof (better than what I have done in the past) and also cleaned up after themselves. The Home Team worker, covered all my plants, patio furniture, grill and other delicate items with tarps prior to starting the roof cleaning. The Home Team repaired a leak in my roof 11/14/16. I had had them previously clean and treat my roof and was very satisfied with the company, so emailed Bob and asked if they could take a look at my roof that was leaking at the vent above my range. A guy came out the next day and it was quickly determined there was a crack in the vent. The vent was replaced and my roof is now leak free. I've never met Bob or any of his team members. Their work has always been done while I was at work. The Home Team took a picture of the cracked vent and sent it to me via text. I OK'd the work and received an email with an invoice the next day. I've known Bob Clem since 2005 when his Home Team crew cleaned, repaired, and restained the old shake roof on our home in Auburn. They did a great job on the roof, and I was even more impressed by the care they took to clean up afterward. This year I needed to clean the metal gutters on our Enumclaw home, both inside and out. They'd gone years without care, and were half full of crud -- a few leaves, lots of "shingle-sand", and moss from the roof on the north-side. They were also heavily stained on the outside with dirt and mold. I requested bids from three companies. The other two companies wouldn't even bid on cleaning the outside of the gutters. The Home Team's bid for cleaning the inside of the gutters was the lowest of three bids, and the bid for the outside of the gutters was reasonable. They sent a single worker, who showed up on a rainy day, and worked fast and effectively for almost three hours. He cleaned out the gutters, and was careful to capture all the nasty goop in 5-gal buckets, which he hauled away when he was done. I saw that he was not just wiping the outsides down, he was actually wiping them twice. The white paint is still stained from the long neglect, but at least now they're clean. Next year I won't bother with getting other bids - I'll get The Home Team: first to clean off my roof and kill the moss, then to clean my gutters again, and then to repaint them as well. I noticed the one bad review from Pat R. I am sympathetic for the trouble he (or she?) encountered, but I can tell you that I had zero communication problems with The Home Team, having to contact them for a bid, and then to schedule my work - they were there when I needed to talk to them, they did not lose track of my name or the date/time of the job, and their guy was right on time with the work. read more
