We did two jobs with the Home Team and were very satisfied with the results. The first was removing the popcorn ceiling (non-asbestos) off our vaulted ceilings, which not many companies have experience with. They gave us a good bid and did a fantastic job--other contractors warned us it wouldn't look as good as we were hoping, but it ended up looking exactly as good as we hoped. It took a day longer than they estimated, but that was fine. The owner was even willing to pay overtime out of pocket to have his guys finish over the weekend if we needed it done more quickly, which we appreciated. The guys who worked on the house were very polite and did a great job keeping the house clean despite the messy work. The other job was painting the exterior of the house, which ended up being done by mostly the same crew of guys. They worked really quickly, although they did move up the start date and forgot to tell us. There were a few minor communication issues like that, but the quality of the work was great and their bids were reasonable. I really appreciate how once the projects starts, they never leave it half-finished to work on someone else's house; they're there all day every day until it's done. They'll definitely be our first call for future home projects. read more

We've hired The Home Team several times for projects the past 4-5 years and did so again this week, taking advantage of one of their Spring Specials. Booking was easy - send an email detailing the work requested and they send a bid (granted, they've done work for us before so that speeds things up.) This week's projects incl. power washing our deck & driveway, a total low-pressure clean up of our composite roof, rinsing the gutters and cleaning the windows and skylights on both stories. Everything looks great! Rodrigo showed up (appropriately masked) promptly on both days, was friendly & thorough, worked safely and with care for our landscaping and did a great clean-up (shovels full of moss from the driveway power washing!) after the work was done. Home maintenance projects are definitely one of those things where you get what you pay for. Go with a cheap fly-by-night operation and you'll get what you pay for. The Home Team cleaned our roof 3 years ago and did an outstanding job. Because of that, we decided to use them again this year. Once again, I'm very happy with the job they did. I contacted Bob Clem last week and because they'd cleaned our roof before, he was able to give me a bid the following day, which I accepted. They sent a checklist to prepare for the pressure washing, which included moving outside items away from the house, putting down towels in areas under skylights & outside doorways in case water might come inside. They scheduled the job for today, and despite foul weather, their team member arrived on time. 5.5 hours later, the roof looks like new, and the gutters are cleaned out. To finish the job, all the walls & windows of the house were washed down, the deck, patio, sidewalk and driveway near the house are also cleared of debris. We couldn't be happier. I called and received quotes from 4 or 5 roof cleaners and only two of them came out to see the roof. Bob Clem from Home Team called me to tell me I was really out of his area but he gave me what to expect to pay, what to expect and what to look for from a roof cleaner. He said if I wanted to wait until a slower season, he could do it. After receiving the other quotes, I felt most of the roof cleaners out there were shaky at best and after seeing the type of job one of them did on a neighbor's house, I elected to wait for a slower season. I called the Home Team, they came out and looked at the roof and then gave me a bid that was lower than the one Bob gave me as a "what to expect to pay" in our early conversation. My roof & gutters hadn't been cleaned for well over a year & I live beneath huge pine trees, fir trees, a variety of willows, a towering maple & bushes that have overgrown the eaves. There was thick moss on the composite shingles & little trees growing out of the packed gutters. I found these guys on Angie's list, he came over on the same day I called, we did a walk around the house & he was able to schedule the job in only 2 days. They went way above & beyond my expectations doing a very thorough job, even cut my trees & bushes way back then power-washed around the entire house including the deck & driveways & disposed of the debris. It took the better part of a day (he didn't rush to get it done) & the charges were way more than reasonable (and didn't collect until he knew I was satisfied). We needed the moss removed from our asphalt shingle roof and had a ValPak coupon for The Home Team, so I sent them an email. I sent the email on Sunday, not expecting a response until the following week, but within an hour, Bob Clem, the owner, sent me a response and we quickly got the job scheduled. On the day of the job, Rodrigo showed up promptly at the appointed time and got straight to work. Afterwards, he cleaned up the huge mess around our yard and on our deck and patio that was created by all the crud blown off the roof by the pressure washer. The job and cleanup took most of the day, but when it was done, the roof and the surrounding areas all looked great! Everyone was very nice, and I heartily recommend The Home Team. read more

I've used the Home Team to clean my roof and gutters and wash my exterior windows for a decade, and they've always done a great job. But what really impressed me was the job they did repainting our house. We'd let the house go too long (15 years) between paint jobs, and had peeling paint in multiple places. This means a lot more prep (removing the peeling paint) was required. It's easy to take shortcuts in surface prep, but the real test is whether the new paint stays looking good over time. It's been 4 years now since the Home Team painted, and the paint is still looking great. No indication at all that the prior paint was peeling. I don't understand these negative reviews. This was the best home maintenance experience we have ever encountered. The worker showed up on time, did a phenomenal job cleaning our roof (it hasn't looked this good in years), cleaned our (covered) gutters and left no mess. We'll be calling again. It's important to point out that all contractors will eventually encounter a customer who isn't satisfied or has lofty expectations that virtually no one can meet. These folks often have a ton of negative reviews to their names. We have hired and fired many contractors over 30 years, and these guys, based on one experience of course, are among the best we've worked with. read more

I would recommend The Home Team to anyone needing home repairs. Bob Clem was very easy and professional to work with. His crew was very friendly and hard workers. They were very thorough in communicating a few problems that cropped up in siding and trim repairs, giving us several options to chose from to solve the problems. I contacted the Home Team to demoss my roof and clean my gutters, and as Bob was walking my perimeter to bid the job, I also asked if he could get rid of a rusty, 20 year old swingset and some old doghouses. He gave me a super deal on the whole job, and my roof looked amazing. I called them again recently to haul away a spring happy sofa, and they were available in just a few days, did the job in minutes, and underbid the professional junk companies by about $50.
