Kind of unnecessarily low reviews that are probably more logistical and less about quality. As far as the food goes, I tried the HoneyBaked sandwich and it's made me a HAM MAN. Picked up a Honey baked ham for Thanksgiving, preordered and paid online. Pick up was really busy and lines were crazy as usual. Prices keep going up, I think we paid over $70, that was pretty much our grocery costs for our thanksgiving meal and we fed 18 people! But everyone loves the ham and requests it, but you can tell how much pump-brine goes into their meats because when you warm it up, you have about 2cups of water/brine that oozes out. read more

We went on Xmas eve to pick up our pre reserved ham. BF choose this location as line is generally shorter than their San Diego location. There was a line when we got there but it didn't seem too bad. The interior is smaller with about 3 attendants working behind cash registers. The girl who helped us wasn't too friendly. We gave her the name of the reservation and she couldn't find it. The bf had called earlier in the week to confirm the reservation so we weren't sure what was happening nor was this girl helpful or empathetic. She told us we could buy a large sized ham which was what we reserved so fine - but a better attitude would have gone a long way (especially when it wasn't our fault they couldn't find the reservation). They had a sign that said $14.97 for 3 condiments. We asked to buy 3 different mustards and she said we have to look for the mustards ourselves in the store and bring them over. Again, a kinder attitude would have helped especially when we are giving you business. The ham was fine. Not sure if it's supposed to have instructions (to heat or re heat - not sure). My sister saved the bone to make for a future pea soup. I gave 3 stars as we are grateful for them to be open during the pandemic. read more

I had been seeing their ads on tv and was tempted to get some Honey Baked Ham. But as I'm the only carnivore at my house, I couldn't buy the full size. Luckily the very nice young lady behind the counter told me they sell cut outs. It worked out perfectly! There were about ten slices on a plastic plate, covered with plastic wrap and in its own individual bag. I couldn't wait to try it so once I got to the car, I had to pull one slice out. My dog and I totally enjoyed it! It was very convenient that they had that smaller version. Will definitely be back. read more

I was not happy with the service I received at the Encinitas store, I had placed an order and prepaid for a 12.5 pound ham and when I showed up for pick up the staff made me wait a really long time and I could see many hams in the fridge but for some reason the two clerks when in the back took a long time and showed up with a ham that looked really small I mentioned it to the clerk and was told that the label was correct it said 12.5 ponds but when I got home I could see that there was a second label under it I peeled it and it said 11 pounds so I think that the clerk that helped me was dishonest and i was so disappointed I didn't take it back because I didn't have the time to go back. so buyers be ware make sure you get what you are paying for. will not be ordering from this location again read more

I only come here once a year, I think like everybody else, that is in here on that same day. I have to have my easter ham from here with the champagne mustard. You always have to order a week in advance and they give you a number to pick it up on the day you want. The thing that really gets me is the time warp that this place is. No joke, this place is straight out of 1972. Hollywood could use this store has a backdrop for a film that needs to be 1972 authentic. I just stop by the Honey baked Store approximately a half an hour before closing to purchase a roasted turkey breast. The lady who helped me said we have one left and grabbed it out of the fridge and I paid cash for this order and promptly put it in a bag without looking at the expiration date which was today meaning this product has been sitting in that fridge probably a week or longer. All of the glaze on top is melted and the meat looks brown and doesn't smell good. By the time I brought it home and realized this, the store was closed and do not open until Monday. This product is expired and should never have been sold to me. I am horrified that they would sell a product with today's expiration that looks and smells rancid. I will definitely be returning it on Monday morning I am updating my review from one star to four stars based on a conversation I just had with the manager who is deeply apologetic and quick to offer a refund or an exchange on the product which I will be doing shortly read more

I pre ordered ham and came today to pick up my order. What surprised me was there's a long line and I waited in the line for 15 mins and the line didn't move. Turned out they have only 1 person serving the pre ordered customers and 3 serving non pre ordered customers. People who did not have pre order moved quickly in the line while many of us had pre orders waited in line that barely moved. I do not understand the logic and asked the lady at the door entrance but she said it was her second day at job so can't do anything. I guess if I ever come back next year I will make sure I do not pre order the food which makes me look like a fool. What a terrible store operation inefficiency! Upon returning it, we were given excellent customer service, sent home with extra items, and felt that they were truly sorry for the mistake.
