So charming!! The Honey Bean was my next stop in my attempt to try and rate every cortado in the city. Armed with two split mini air conditioners, The Honey Bean keeps staff and patrons cool by also slinging really neat drinks. I'm currently on a health journey so instead of trying a seasonal latte, I opted for the cortado and a spinach and artichoke quiche. Before we get into the food I wanted to acknowledge the layout of the shop and the fact that there's a flower shop cohabitating with this spot. It makes for a very unique experience and the next time I visit (cause there will be a next time!) I'd like to buy myself a small bouquet. I think it would brighten up my apartment. Staff? Super friendly. The guy that took my order made nice small talk, and when I said it was my first time he got very excited. Even more so when I said I wanted my cortado "for here" because he had instinctively grabbed a to-go cup. I also ordered the quiche and sat down in a comfy chair to wait. Not even five minutes later my order was ready. The cortado was strong! It had a bold, roasted flavor - I thought it would put hair on my chest!! But it went very well with the quiche, which was salty in a delicious way. There was almost always a line out the door here, and for good reason. It's comfortable and cozy, perfect for folks to settle and study, and in a trendy side of town. Overall, a great spot. read more

I stopped by The Honey Bean on a Friday morning and ordered the S'more's Graham*. While the drink was yummy, I'm not sure if I could get myself to come back as my drink ended up coming out to over $7 for a 12 oz cup with ice (not including tip). The inside, however was very nice and seemed like a great place to study or just to hang out with friends! They sell bouquets of flowers as well. There's also a patio area if that's more your style. 09 Feb 2026 Walking back from Vision Source I decided to try this place. It is larger than it appears from the outside. You order at the left side of the counter and pick up on the right. The space is inviting. Couches, comfy chairs and tables for individual or group work sessions. Plenty of natural light. I ordered the Lone Ranger based on what I'd read in other Yelp reviews. It was quite tasty. I threw in a large cinnamon roll made by Scratch Kitchen. Sorry Kitchen, I never had anything this good when visiting your restaurant. You bite into the roll and bunches of pecan pieces fall out. Kind of like a mother bug giving birth to hundreds of baby bugs. This analogy is saying this is good. Ha, ha. I really like when businesses utilize existing spaces. This coffee shop was charming, it has a vintage, urban feel. Cozy sections for you to enjoy your coffee alone but also an area with a long tables to gather with friends. There's seating for you to use inside, and out. They also have a small store for trinkets and a florist on site. I ordered a chai latte it was delicious not overwhelming with cinnamon. I also ordered a pumpkin bread slice. This is such a cute place! A few things right off the bat, there is not a ton of parking in the front but there is more around back and across the street. Additionally, the seating inside fills up fast. Other then that this is super cute and tasty. The spring menu had a good variety and the staff is friendly and flexible, I ordered the smores drink and they let me switch out the milk and make some adjustments. The drink was very good and everyone is was with was satisfied with theirs. Inside the place is super cute, there is a small flower shop inside as well so you can buy bouquets and there are fresh flowers throughout. I would definitely return if in in that area read more

Wow, why haven't I come here sooner?? This is a great spot to grab not only coffee (or other caffeinated beverages), but a terrific place to get some work done or catch up with friends. There are plenty of seats available, either in cozy chairs or high top seating. I got the Lone Ranger, and it was delicious. Service is super friendly, and there is also free WiFi. Make sure you get the rewards stamp card so that for every drink you purchase, it'll go towards a free drink (buy 10, get 1 free). I'm also loving the Christmas decorations and was able to get some work done in one of the comfy chairs by the front entrance. The service was fast and friendly. Ambiance: I went about 30 mins before closing and the shop still had a lot of people sitting around enjoying their coffee. The build your own bouquet area was cute but for three stems of flowers you're looking at like 10 bucks. Great little spot, the baristas were all super nice. I got a caramel cappuccino and my husband got the cinnamon roll. I liked the coffee and cinnamon roll but my husband wasn't a fan due to how many pecans were in it. So if you don't like nuts avoid it there's an okay amount of seating but parking is a little tight. When I walked in I instantly regretted it because there was a line and I was in need of caffeine . For the looks of it though it seems longer then what it actually was and only waiting about 7-10 mins for the door to the counter. I was surprised how busy it was as it didn't look like it from the outside. So due to that line I was ready to be disappointed. Then I got to the front and they didn't have what I wanted HOWEVER they were let me mix and match a few things from there manu. I ended up making a Carmel Apple latte and it's probably the best drink I have made at a coffee shop. I loved it so much because it reminded me of the caramel apple lollipops I used to have as a kid. It's hard to find a good kolache and these made the cut The lattes were good but I will say not my most favorite lattes I've had in San Antonio. Vibes though... immaculate. I absolutely love this place! It's become my morning routine before work. I order a vanilla caramel matcha with almond milk and a pumpkin loaf and it hits the spot every time! I've gone to a few places and ask for the same thing and they never make it sweet the way that I like it, but Honey Bean does it right every single time! The customer service is also amazing, I went two days in a row and they recognized me, my order and my name. I've never sat down in there but it's a very cute and rustic vibe. This is a quaint coffee house tucked between a couple of businesses in the olmos area. 10/10 vibe is warehouse meets modern day living decor with a couple of tables to sit and plug in and work and large arm chairs to sit and read or cuddle on the couch with a partner or loved one. The outer part is lined with tall shelving perfect for catching up on your studies or work. On my visit, people were grabbing coffee and leaving which made it easy to find a spot to sit. 10/10 coffee-I had the Lone Ranger which is a coffee blended with honey, cinnamon and vanilla. It was strong and it kept me going all day. What a yummy drink. My companions also had tasty coffee trying out the chai latte, and the drip coffee. All were made to perfection in a matter of minutes. I0/10 food- The plain kolaches were sold out by the time we arrived so we opted for the jalapeño kolaches and they were delicious. Soft buttery dough with a hearty meaty center that came with the right amount of jalapeño heat. They also offered an array of sweet pastries including cinnamon bun that looked yummy. I will have to try it out next time. 10/10 work or study place. The tables are evenly spaced out. The chairs are functional and WiFi is available for customers. The place was not overly crowded and the general atmosphere seemed conducive to getting work done. Since I work in the area, I will return especially since they open m-f at 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.mm. On Saturdays-Sundays. I would say the only ding I could give is that it closes at 3 p.m. but with coffee that packs like a punch, I can't imagine needing an afternoon brew. I love this place. IMO their coffee is one of the best I have ever had. Staff is world class and shop itself is comfortable and spacious.

I've been coming here since they were just a coffee truck and was soooo excited for them to have a building!!! However my experiences since then have fallen flat :( My drinks have been made wrong a few times and I left before trying them (my mistake). Today I ordered an eggnog latte and a hot cocoa and I was so disappointed!!! The hot cocoa was watery and my latte was bitter. I asked for a different drink instead of the cocoa since it was made with a syrup (not a powder) and the girl was rude. She said they don't normally do that since it costs them money but she'd do it JUST THIS ONCE. I didn't even bother asking to remake my bitter latte. As much as I have enjoyed drinks here when they were a truck I sadly don't think I'll be coming back again. read more
