a group of men sitting at a bar

If I could give this zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst bar I have ever been to. The bartender (who I heard is the owner) was very clearly drunk when we arrived, and continued to take shots throughout the night. Four of our drinks had flies in them, and the bartender/owner offered to filter out the flies from the drinks. No thanks!!

    Have a drink!

Crossroads is a local mainstay & Margie the owner is a doll & in the years I have patronized the bar I have NEVER seen her drunk.

All are welcome! After finishing dinner with some friends, one suggested we come to the Crack Fox…read moreas it was their 15-year anniversary. We arrived a little after 11 and found a space in the back parking lot. The lot is convenient as it's pretty well-lit and is diagonal from the CF. We entered through the back where the deck is and walked right in. Upon first glance, you'll notice the hanging lights above the entrance and then after a few feet, the bar is immediately to the right. The tables are all along the left side as to make a walkway for the bar (super convenient). Due it being their anniversary, it was a bit crowded but not too bad where you couldn't get a drink or walk through. My usual go-to is a flavored vodka (three olives grape) and sprite. While they had a plethora of spirits, sadly this wasn't one of them. They had other flavored vodkas but I opted to get a simple Cosmo while my friend got a makers and coke. The Cosmo was just what I needed and might I add, well made! After we got our drinks, we did a quick walk through of the other side called The Oddities (coming soon), as well as the upstairs that overlooks the entire place. The stairs are steep, so it would behoove you to hold on to the railing. While I love trying new places, I was a bit apprehensive because I thought I'd stick out like a sore thumb. Turns out, everyone was friendly, the drinks are great, and the music wasn't bad! They had different acts going on for this particular evening (I'm not sure if this is the norm), but I know my friend is a regular on Tuesday's for karaoke. I do intend to come back and try out some more drinks and food and check out the other place once it officially opens.

Great vibes, casual but cocktails you'd find at a much fancier bar. They're unique and fun. I've…read morenever had a bad drink there. The staff is always nice and quick. Not a ton of seating and it gets kinda crowded depending on the night. There is a dance floor and their events are a great time. Very open minded, positive atmosphere.

We arrived right on time for our reservation, stood for quite a few minutes in a half-empty house before being seated, then waited a very long time between visits from our apparently over-stretched waitstaff. The first cocktail I chose wasn't available; nor was the first entree. I settled on the "red wine flight", and it arrived in three glasses. The server recited their names, but I didn't catch them. Food was middle of the road. A smoked sirloin sandwich was tasty, though rather well-done. And the order of "salmon cakes", which the menu says is made of "smoked salmon, roast corn, tomato, cucumber, creme fraiche, and capers" was in fact just one cake (not cakes!), smaller than a hockey puck (about 1/2" thick max) and seemed to be made of canned fish, not the bright orange of smoked salmon. It was accompanied by five thin slices of cucumber and three or four halved grape tomatoes. No corn, no capers. It was so boring, and an overpriced disappointment at $23. If this Bridge is actually closing and focusing on the event space, they've gone out with a whimper. And if they're actually continuing service, I hope they get the food a little closer to the menu descriptions. Our drinks and water glasses were empty for long stretches. Our server was very pleasant and polite, but must've had way too much to do.

The food- 3 of 4 of us said it was just ok. The other really liked theirs. We had 2 different pastas & 2 different sandwiches. Calabrian carbonara & citrus fettuccine. They were both kinda bland & not much flavor. Large portions. Wagyu reuben & smoked french. The reuben was a hit. The smoked french was too smoky. We had the pumpkin ricotta appetizer. It was pretty tasty. And the caesar was a large portion & decent flavor.

We were able to get a table on the patio where there's live music. Unfortunately, there wasn't anyone playing while we were there. There had been music earlier and there would be some later, but not in the time we were there. Maybe next time! Our server was Anya and she was great! We placed drink orders and then had the tough choice of deciding what we were going to eat. We decided to start with the Alligator Sausage & Shrimp Cheesecake. Sounds weird, but it's delicious! It is in no way a traditional cheesecake. I've added a photo of it, but it was after I had already cut it up. It comes out looking like a piece of pie. I looked at the menu and went to my fave - Shrimp Voodoo Tacos. They were so good! It came with a "side" of Jambalaya. The side was a full dinner portion! In fact, I was so full, I brought the whole serving home and my husband had it for dinner and it filled him up. He got the Fried Oysters. It's a great place for people watching. The last time we were there, a woman walked in with a birdcage and bird. You don't see that every day in a restaurant! The place is just good food, good drinks, and good vibes. We'll definitely be back!
