This coffee shop was well worth the wait! Came in here on a Saturday afternoon & the line was sooo long, but I heard such great things about this establishment I had to stay! A moody coffee grab & go coffee shop was the vibe. It was for sure worth every single minute. From the friendliness of the staff to the deliciousness of the coffee. Every thing was so EXCELLENT that i came by the next day! I tried the Mazapan Latte based off a friend recommendation. They cannot modify the latte & let you know while you're ordering it. As well as they let you know there's still hints of dairy. Definitely recommend trying this latte if you decide to stop by. The coffee shop is small yet spacious inside. They don't have much seating for customers. It's more like an order, grab your coffee, and you go on with your day. The dude at the counter was super friendly and explained the drinks. The pictures on the wall are awesome and it gives Rialto vibes. The best part is they have an arcade for their guests meanwhile they wait. The coffee was phenomenal and tastes great. I truly recommend this pace to coffee lovers. This is definitely a cool little grab and go spot in Da Hood or the neighborhood I should say. They be Grinding out some sweet and tasty coffee drinks for their area. I started off with their Darth Chocolate which was a blend of dark chocolate and mini chocolate chips to make it extra fun to sip. The Springfield was next and this had lavender syrup topped with blueberry cold foam to make it a super sweet and flavorful drink. Both drinks delivered with flavor but for me the espresso wasn't strong but that's just me as everyone has a different tolerance for caffeine. The service was good and it's pretty much a grab and go since there is no seats and one two seater couch. They do have an arcade game to pass the time as you wait for your drink. First time here and it is kinda hidden. Was a little tricky for parking but I got lucky and was able to find a spot. It was busy when I went but the lane moved pretty fast. It's small inside and doesn't have an area to lounge if you were looking for that but the staff is nice and helpful. I almost missed this place since it is so hidden. With that being said I think they need better signs outside but other than that my experience was great. I can't get enough of that blueberry cold foam I also tried the blueberry lavender lemonade and it's so refreshing service is great but the line gets out of control. This place is a local hidden treasure. Nestled in a corner nook, no lavish signs, just a small parking lot ...you will know you are in the right spot by the line of people waiting outside the door. Upon entry there is a fun nostalgic vibe that showcased some art, merch , a cute couch and cool street fighter arcade. Their menu features House made syrups with sugar free options and smooth espressos, you can make your own drink but I highly recommend the blueberry cold foam and the peaches sugar free syrup ... they also make a delicious cold brew. It was pricey about $22 with tip and took over 15 mins because they only have one register, however the front counter was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions without rushing me, he has an amazing positive vibe which got me excited to be there.. We ended up waiting outside, shortly the owner came out with our drinks, I felt that was extremely thoughtful and courteous. I really enjoyed my experience because all good things take time and they make beautiful delicious handcrafted drinks... not just espresso... this is an experience. I'm impressed because I'm known to write extremely critical reviews... I just gotta be honest when I say I wish this place continued success and growth. It took about 30 minutes for me to get my drinks. I had gotten a matcha latte. I decided to come back again and risk waiting to see if it would take 30 minutes for me to get my drink again. It had been a long time since I had gone so I was hoping there would be an improvement and that time was a one off. This a popular cafe spot, there is always people. The cafe decor is urban street culture, with some paintings, merch, a TV playing the Simpsons, a couch, and an arcade game. I didn't wait in line for that long. People were always coming in and out of the cafe. There is no seating inside. I asked the barista if I should add a flavor to my matcha. He said it was up to me and recommended me some options if I wanted. He was helpful. He said the matcha was sweetened so I decided not to add to it. I got the 24oz. This was my very first time at The Hood Grind Coffee, which was recommended by a close friend. It is located in the shopping center off of First and Riverside, rather hidden, but it contributes to the ambiance. The store is very unique and has a lot of nice artwork by a local artist on the walls. The menu is available online and there are seasonal items, but we opted for the popular items: nuez con coco and mazapan. We were definitely not disappointed and we were even happier to know their story. Overall, the owners were very friendly and shared a bit about their story, which is incredible, and impressive considering they started doing delivery and now have their own storefront. The price of their items are normal to other specialty coffee shops, but the quality of the coffee is good. We will definitely support this business and recommend to others! In my opinion, this spot is my #1 for coffee in the IE, Every, Single, Time I come here the flavor is consistent. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Always the right amount. My personal favorites are the Mazapán, Nuez con Coco and the Horchata. But the Springfield is also good! I was also shocked how good coffee and orange go well together. Tried The Hood Grind for the first time and definitely need to give them another shot (no pun intended... or maybe it is). I ordered the Orange I.E. Latte, which was a bit outside my usual since I don't typically go for syrups in my coffee. The coffee itself was good, but the honey and syrups overpowered it for my taste. That said, I think there's real potential here if I tweak the sweetness level next time. Service was not only quick but also incredibly friendly, the team was so sweet and welcoming, even with how busy they were. I drove over 30 minutes... was the drive worth it? Yes! And I would drive an hour or 2 as well!! I drove over 30 minutes to get to this coffee shop in Colton and it has made it to my second favorite coffee shop of all time, yes that's how good it was! There is parking, and it's located in a small parking lot with other businesses. At first it was hard to locate because it's pitch black but it's in the coroner! But let's talk about the coffee.. the real deal. I ordered the coco y nuez, I was a little shocked at th price but after I drank it I definitely would pay the $8.25. This drink is super creamy and it blends perfectly with the espresso. The coconut flakes and the nuez toppings tie everything in! 10/10 I also ordered the wasted gingerman and I can't stop thinking about this drink. This drink is perfectly crafted and the flavors really punch you in the face(in a good way!). The gingerbread crumbles on top give it a perfect crunch. 10/10 The candy cane latte was ordered by my sister and she loved it. I'm not a huge fan of peppermint but this drink was delicious. Fantastic find for fine coffee and drink creations! A little hard to find (no signage above the store), in a small strip mall, but worth spending a second to locate. Cool menu with coffee, tea, and pastries/sweets on the weekends. They do have brownies on weekdays which I tried and thought was solid. I got their Nuez con coco which was great!
