White tea is my go to scent loved seeing it here

We recently found The Hot Spot, and it ended up being one of those places that was everything we needed and more. From the start, I loved how simple the pricing is. If you're doing ceramics, the price of the piece is the total price. No extra charges for paint or firing, which makes it so much easier to just enjoy the experience without overthinking it. One of our favorite parts was the fairy garden station. My daughter and I both made the cutest little gardens with succulents and got to pick three charms for our pots. There were so many cute options. She picked an owl and I went with a more classic black pot. It turned into one of those moments where you kind of lose track of time just sitting there creating together. They also have a mosaic station with everything included from glue to beautiful stones, and a slime station which was a huge hit with the kids there. I actually love that they offer slime because doing that at home is... a whole process. We also tried the candle making station, which was such a fun surprise. You chop up wax pieces, fill your vessel, and then decorate the top. I stayed on theme and added little succulent pieces to mine. There were tons of vessels to choose from, and you can pick your scent. We both went with white tea, which smelled so good and clean. Everything was packaged up really nicely at the end, which made it feel a little extra special taking everything home. What really stood out though was that it's family owned. The owner was there and so kind, helping us whenever we had questions and just making the whole experience feel welcoming. Helpful tip: Don't skip the bathroom. It sounds funny, but the walls are covered in post-it notes and it ended up being one of the highlights. We may have added one ourselves, which was kind of the perfect way to end our girls day. It's such a fun, creative space and one of those places you leave already thinking about what you want to come back and make next.

Amazing place! I've been to other studios such asColor Me Mine and others over the years. This one is the best!!! Excellent pricing, cool creative atmosphere, always someone available to answer questions or help and the end products are beautiful! I recommended The Hot Spot to all of my grown children because they love to do these types of products. Even my granddaughter felt like a true artist when working on her pieces

I went in today with my friend and the staffs were so friendly and helpful. They didn't try to take too much of our time over-explaining what we can do or not and straight to the point which is straight to the fun. They made sure we were comfortable and got everything we needed for our painting. They made the experience so enjoyable and fun. It was a younger guy and a young lady and they're so a great team. The way they talked to other customers made the environment such a cool place to relax and just paint away. Will be back bringing my whole family to paint and make candles next time. Thank you for opening this spot for people who want to create memories with our friends and families

It's a mother and son run shop with a very relaxed atmosphere and tons of different projects to work on. They're super affordable and they're not stingy with the paint supplies. The staff are extremely helpful and understanding and I had an excellent time.

I think this place is great to bring kids who love arts and crafts. It's a medium-sized store with lots of chairs + tables and packed with lots of activities I think kids would enjoy. I noticed for slime making there was an employee helping kids make it and the employee was always enthusiastic and engaging. The customer service was 5/5 with very nice employees who took their time helping you. As an adult, I would not return again. I was convinced to come because they boasted no studio fees. For "making mosaics" it turns out it's glueing pieces of mosaic tiles onto a canvas or some wooden boards/shapes they have, but they do not do any grouting. Instead, I decided to paint ceramics. In total I spent $46 on one mug. The materials they had for ceramic painting were great, from a variety of colors to stamping tools to brushes. I did have to ask for paper towels. After spending 2 hours painting my design, I submitted it to them to fire and was able to pick up after 3 days which was a very quick turn around. The problem was after picking up, I noticed a lot of spots/dark marks on my mug which is very noticeable since the background is white. I've attached pictures, the most noticeable is on the inside of my mug has these green marks which is very disappointing and I know was not a mistake on my part because I didn't use that color anywhere on my design. Also pictured on the bottom of my mug are three bumps that interrupt the glaze, it's not the worse mistake (especially since it's on the bottom) but it's definitely noticeable. I am upset in that I came with a friend and they also received mistakes on their painted ceramics with marks to the outside of their cat planter (picture attached, she spent $30 on this planter). It's frustrating to spend so long perfecting a design and spending a good amount of money to end up with mistakes that were not our fault. I think the employees are doing well creating a comfortable and fun environment, especially engaging for kids. But when it comes to handling painted ceramics, I would not trust them again. 2.5/5

What's HOT? The Hot Spot of Sacramento in Delta Shores! Here to check out their Grand Opening...and am having a BLAST! They feature a bunch of pottery to paint, mosaic making, create your own succulent planter, candle making and even slime making (non toxic and easy to remove!). I made my own succulent planters and had so kuch fun decorating with cute mushrooms, lady bugs, frog, colored stones, butterflies and more! They even have cute woodland fairies! There are snacks and soon they will start up paint-n-sip events (and you know I will be there for that!). Come check them out to kick start your creative side and stay for the fun!

I came in during a weekday afternoon and was able to decompress. Their pottery item selection is pretty versatile and the employees are very helpful if you need any assistance. I love that they have a "stay as long as you want" policy and I was told you can also bring your item home and come back another time to finish if needed too. Most of the pottery items range from about $22+. Considering it is a women owned + local small business, I am all for supporting it. Would love if they begin to offer a stamp card or possibly a monthly membership/program!

Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge is located inside the Pavilions on Fair Oaks Blvd next to Piatti. We walked inside and it was pretty busy, but they had plenty of space and lots of seating. We put our names in and they told us it would be about an hour before we would be able to sit and paint - so we walked around and checked out all of the ceramic options available. They had so many cute options from bowls, to mugs, to piggy banks, to jewelry boxes to platters - I could go on and on! All ranging in different sizes and pricing! For the 4 of us, we decided on a cute set of Valentine's Day gnomes, a fairy jewelry box, a donut jewelry box and a big cafe mug. All paints, paintbrushes, stencils, etc. are included in the painting fee which is $15 per adult and $13 per child. Between the 4 of us and all of our choices, it was just shy of $200 so you're looking at roughly $50 a person which is a lot, but you also don't have a time limit on how long you can stay and with our party of 4, I think we were close to almost 2 hours. Once you are done painting, they will take your ceramic and it will go in the kiln during the week. You will need to come back on whatever day they tell you for pick up - for us, it is this Wednesday after 4pm. Overall, we had a great time at Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge! This is perfect for a birthday party, Sunday Funday or even a date night. We will absolutely be returning soon! I highly recommend making a reservation though if you can!
