He gave us a tour of the venue and answered all of our questions before we made the decision to book the venue. We knew that we had to find an air conditioned venue to escape that September heat that could accommodate 100+ guests, and could also fit a jump house. It was also the first day of NFL football season so our guests appreciated having two tv's available to watch their games as well. This place really checked all the boxes for us! I love the aesthetic of the venue, it's very clean and spacious. Also, Devon allowed us to bring in outside vendors to include a jump house (JEM Castles) and a 360 Photo Booth (Kapture King 360). Devon's team provided the balloon arrangement/backdrop, which we loved as it was not only convenient but they also did a beautiful job making my vision come to life. Words are not enough to express the level of customer service we experienced with Shelah and her…read moreamazing staff. From my initial inquiry, Shelah was responsive and helpful. The original date was taken, but she called me back to let me know the date had become available, which immediately showed her attention to detail and willingness to support. I was given one month to source a venue that met all of my client's requirements, and this event space offered that and more. My client needed a venue close enough to the conference location, while also being accessible for guests traveling on their own. 1422 The Blvd checked those boxes. Let's start with communication. Shelah was prompt, helpful, and willing to work around the clock to ensure all of my questions were answered in a timely manner. The client portal was also great. Everything from scheduling a virtual tour to booking an in-person tour was simple. I was able to view the property through the 360-degree venue tour, which honestly sold me. When I arrived for the in-person tour, I was curious how it would work since I am used to touring with a site manager. But I simply texted Shelah, the door opened, and we stayed on the call while she helped orient me through the space and answer my questions. The venue was clean, open, and an easy blank canvas for about 100 guests comfortably if seated. What I really liked was the option to merge the indoor and outdoor space with the beautiful glass garage door. I wish we could have used it for this event, but we plan to come back next year and hope to open the space up then. They also have ample parking, with overflow parking behind a beautiful wooden gate that is closed off from the public. I especially appreciated that the private entry was able to accommodate an executive coach bus for 36 passengers. That was a logistical concern for us, but Shelah and her staff helped provide the best route to prevent congestion on the main street. Having her staff onsite was extremely helpful. I also appreciated that we did not have to source outside equipment rentals. The venue offers rentals at an additional cost, and if you know anything about planning events, you know delivery and pickup fees can add up quickly. Having rentals onsite helped us avoid those extra fees and created a cost savings of a few hundred dollars. I would definitely recommend using their in-house rentals. They also use HoneyBook to manage contracts, invoices, communication, and rentals, which made the process easy and organized. On the day of the event, we hired Shelah's staff to assist with setup. A lot of our staff were coming from out of the area and did not have the capacity to assist with setup. I shared with my client that utilizing the venue staff would save us time, and I'm so glad we did. We were able to share our desired floorplan, receive feedback on the best layout, and arrive to the event with everything already set up. All we had to do was place arrangements on the tables and set up the welcome sign. All vendors arrived before both my client and I did, and with remote access, they were able to set up before our arrival, which made the day run smoothly. This venue is truly a hidden gem. The pricing was competitive for the value, and the location is excellent--central to downtown, about 8 minutes from Arden Mall, and approximately 10-12 minutes from downtown Sacramento. I look forward to working with Shelah and her team again and will definitely be sending clients her way.

It would be worth the drive wherever you're coming from to have a function here. It's nice inside lots of restrooms. The only thing inside that didn't look great was one chair and it's in the hallway walk into the bathrooms, but that is it. They have a bar area away from everybody and their tables were nicely separated not too close. There's a huge area to add a desert area. They have a platform for the DJ honestly all at all this is a pretty great place.

It's definitely a showcase of Central Valley Filipino-ness, culture and talent! It's run by six Filipino American community organizations and promotes community and youth relations, educating on history, with cultural activities and other festival events. The highlights of the fiesta include a parade, live entertainment, eskrima & arnis tournaments, traditional Filipino food. All ages, free entry, purchases out of pocket. 2022 was the first in-person event since Covid! The Fiesta went from 10am-5pm. When I arrived around 11am, it was pretty packed and I had to parallel park on the side street rather than the main parking lots. Weather was that weird overcast sprinkly light wind which doesn't scream "June" summertime, but for being out on the grassy area it was ok for walking. They had a charity car show/contest (Team LoveHATE and Neu Era), many many vendor booths from sponsors such as SMUD, UC Davis Health, Vaccinate All 58, Kaiser Permanente, Cache Creek, East Lawn, Sac Asian Chamber of Commerce (shout-out to Nikki S.!) giving out free 10-pack N95 masks and up to 3 Covid tests and other fun stalls like QTEA Boba (taro, milk tea, thai tea), a candle shop, a sticker shop, Filipino wares/crafts like island dresses, fun shirts, bracelets, Filipino flags, etc. My fave was the MTPhotos Sac mini photobooth and raffle (shoutout Misty T.!). They had an outdoor stage for music, performers as well as an indoor stage with performances by Sinagtala, tinikling (bamboo traditional folk dance), kung fu demonstration, Zumba, an oldies band, Polynesian dancers. The food trucks were very popular. Official vendors were Hella Halo (halo-halo), Pinorrito, Daisy's Desserts, My Lumpia Lady, Duffy's Hot Dogs, Angry Asian Chef, and Sugarbar. They had some tables and chairs for people to sit and eat too. I saw people eating chicken adobo and rice, lumpia, bbq on a stick, pancit! I picked up a few sweet treats from Ube Galore Breads & More (Bay Area-based) -- ube eggpie and ube cassava to take home...delicious!

The event space is very spacious which includes the main area plus a huge full in-house kitchen. They provide round tables and chairs included with in the rental. All that you need is decorations like table covers to really make the place pop. You are basically given a blank slate to decorate it up to your theme. The only thing they don't allow as decorations is balloons and confetti, as those are difficult to clean up. They don't have a sound system, so you would need to provide that yourself. The restrooms are clean with two stalls for each the men's and women's restrooms. Because the community center has windows throughout, so much natural light makes the space warm and inviting. Great party space to consider for your next event!

We had our engagement party at Dolphins Banquet Hall last weekend. When we first met with the owner…read morethey gave us a deal and said the decorations wouldn't include fresh flowers, which I was okay with. In the beginning, planning the party was going okay, we ended up picking out decorations that day, but we only had a limited amount of time to look at the decorations, so I did request to make about 4-5 changes to our decorations from the original request. Two days before the event Suman(the owners wife) notified us that they put out only 18 tables, instead of the 20 we agreed upon. My Fiance requested for 2 more tables, and if needed he would pay extra, but thinking they wouldn't charge us more since on the contract it said 20 tables, but my fiance was incorrect, they wanted to charge us $300 extra for the table and chairs, even tho we weren't inviting more people we wanted 20 tables and 9 chairs on each table for our 180 guests. I was upset so I called Suman and asked why they would change things and ask for more money 2 days before our event?! Suman was so rude and condescending over the phone, and and finally she said to talk to her husband and decide it with him, then I had to explain to the owner that you can't say you will do something and then back out 2 days before the event, and he finally agreed to put out the 20 tables. I was so upset, what kind of owner would do this to their clients 2 days before their engagement party. So stressful, but it doesn't stop there, the day before the event the owner asked me to come and see the decorations. When I got there everything looked fine, except instead of the cloth napkins that we agreed upon they had put regular paper napkins on the table, and 3 of the tables had random centerpieces, after talking about the changes that were made, Suman said 'well you can take your money and have your party somewhere else", yes she said that to us a day before our party, so we decided it wasn't worth the stress to argue about it anymore, and told them just leave it as is and just change the 3 centerpiece to match the rest of the tables. So after all that stress we hoped there would be no more drama, but that wasn't the end, the day of the event the owner only had 19 tables out instead of the 20 which we were able to overlook, then the owner had the audacity to lock the front doors and tell us we had more than 180 guest, which was untrue, we had so many empty chairs, and we made sure to only invite 180 people and about 20 weren't even able to come. When my guests would walk outside for some fresh air they would be locked outside and would have to knock on the door for a while in order to have someone open it. My aunt went outside to get her medication, because she recently had surgery and even she was locked out, even my mom was locked outside for a while, even tho it clearly says to keep front doors unlocked during business ours. Also during the party he came up to my mom to say there were extra guests, and told us we would be charged per person. They had the security guard count every guest with a "clicker", and he was counting people who were going out and coming back in.  The owner called me the next day and said we had over 35 extra guest(which was not true) and wanted us to pay more money for that. I told him that can't be the case because we had so many empty seats and he never put the 20th table out. I asked him if he had to make more food, and he said no but we had to make more Naan, which was not true because they ran out of Naan early on, they probably didn't even put out enough Naan. It just seemed that they some how wanted us to pay more than what was agreed upon. I was debating if I should write a review or not, but I decide to because I would hate for another family to experience this. If you do decide to go with dolphins banquet hall, please make sure to get a copy of the contract that has all agreements right after you sign it, so later on they can't cross things out, and make it seem like you agreed to something else. Also I hope after reading this the owner will know it is not okay to treat your clients this way. Customer service matters, and you should not add extra stress to your clients the day of their event. Two great things about Dolphins Banquet Hall, one was the decorations were really nice, and everyone loved the food, it was really good. If we didn't have the added stress from the owners a few days before and during the event, then I would have definitly given them 5 stars.

They went above and beyond and made it stress free for us. The servers, bartender, Photographer and DJ were friendly and professional. This is a one stop shop. They added extra's and were very accommodating to our request without hesitation. The management are friendly and great to work with. During the event they continuously followed up to ensure everything is going well. I would highly recommend them to anyone for their future events.
