Exceptional experience. Went to the store for new filters for a hot tub that has been dormant for two years due to a family emergency. Daniel helped us and his really amazing service led us to stop doing it ourself and using the Hot Tub Store regular service plan. The hydraulics on the cover was broken right away and the kept saying they'd fix it and then after I gave the the pics they ask for and that the guy that was out to show us how to us it even said he could fix it, but he didn't, then the gal I was taking to all that time said to look in the contract those aren't covered and we just bought a $20.000. If I could give 0 stars I would, but 1 is the lowest option. I purchased a Hot Springs Jetsetter LX in July 2021 after my doctor recommended that hydrotherapy would help in managing the pain from my chronic inflammatory disorder. I researched spas and Hot Springs ranked pretty high, and the salesman convinced me this was the one that would provide relief and suggested the salt water for additional benefit. It was more than I wanted to spend, but they had one of this model in stock in Santa Rosa which meant for an additional $500 relocation fee I wouldn't have to wait for one to be ordered. So I accepted the higher price, the extra fee so I wrote the check & paid $13k+ and waited as patiently as I could for it to be delivered. The spa was delivered right before labor day, so pretty and since it was pretty hot weather still I soaked as I could while dreaming of how wonderful it would be in the cooler weather. Well, six weeks later the spa cracked. The store sent someone to pick up for a repair. I expressed concern with them repairing it, as the shell was one piece and would it work. Oh yes the store repair guy said, it will be stronger than new! So I waited and waited and waited. In December 2021 I called the manufacturer. They looked into it and said it seemed the spa had been misplaced during transport and was in a warehouse for almost 7 weeks. They got it right after they found it, made the repair and the first week of January 2022 said it was wrapped to send, just waiting on transport. Well, almost 3 months later it was redelivered late March 2022. After 5 months of really poor customer service, I got to replace the salt cartridge, mineral cartridge and all the other things that went bad while spa was gone. Not cheap but then I got to experience one blissful month of soaks, which did in fact provide pain relief. So once it was super hot outside again from May - August at 90+ degrees here in Sacramento my visits were limited to a short soaks before 7am and one after 10pm if I could stay awake. It finally starts to cool down, the spa cracks AGAIN in the SAME PLACE! I notify the store service department 8/25 of the new crack and they called me back the next day to say they are going to go ahead and order a replacement. I asked how long that would take, when could I expect to have functioning hot tub again? Answer given "Not really sure, will have to ask my manager." She called me back a few days later and said "we aren't sure, will let you know when there is an update." Okay, they are working on it. So I waited a couple weeks then called back and got same answer. One more month passes, same answer. On 10/12 I contacted the manufacturer, who called the store then told me the store confirmed they ordered the replacement.... yeah, right. 3 weeks later I get an email from manufacturer rep n(still haven't heard a peep from the store or answers to ANY of my questions regarding this process) that she has confirmed the replacement spa is on order and while the store would have the most current information (that they never provide btw) she believes it can take 6-8 MONTHS to get a replacement spa. To summarize - Have owned spa 427 days Out of service 1st crack 169 days Out of service 2nd crack 64 days Days I could have used it 194 -- less than 45% of the time I have owned it. I am livid, honestly. My biggest issue is that the store doesn't give a shit about customers whose money they already have. Seriously bad customer service, like I would expect at walmart, not somewhere I spent $13K+. They have done NOTHING to address the situation, no apology or attempt to solve the issue even. I can't believe there isn't another option besides potentially wait another 8 months? They have my money, but I don't have what I paid for. So for now, I have not option but to continue directing my friends looking for spas to go elsewhere ( 4 sales for CalSpas & counting). I have an appointment with my attorney to discuss options for legal recourse next week and today got a call from Call Kurtis, they are interested in highlighting my experience by doing a story on me. After how I've been treated I will maximize every opportunity I get to share my horrendous experience with this store to save others from living this nightmare. read more

I moved to the town of Loomis California in April 2021 and wanted to get a spa for the pool that came with my home since I am not a fan of cold water. Instead of paying thousands of dollars to heat my pool, I decided to get a separate spa instead since I prefer hot boiling spa like water to calm my muscles over a Luke warm pool. I went to a local hot tub store near my home and was immediately greeted by Brandon who had extensive knowledge about hot tubs. What Brandon didn't realize was that I researched a bunch of hot tubs online and outside of the area to make sure I didn't buy something without some financial due diligence. Not only did Brandon provide a fair price, but he was close on delivery and delays in the supply chain. I ordered my Cantabria Spa in May with a due date in October and got it in November. We were worried that it would get pushed out to Q1 2022 because of all the port delays with other items like furniture. They are genuine when it comes to providing stellar customer service and did resolve my issues and water care lesson testing which made initial setup so much easier and idiot-proof. Youtube, google and even the hot tub owner's manual can't show/teach what The Hot Tub Store can show you in less than 20-30 min. Long overdue review. My hot tub purchase and ownership experience. Some of what I base my experience on is past hot tub ownership experience. The prior ownership was less expensive and considerably more enjoyable. My initial impression of The Hot Tub Store and staff greatly influenced my purchase decision. David and I believe Marsha we extremely knowledgeable, which led to me spending more than anticipated especially compared to other spas types and MFG. I visited 3 different showrooms, spoke to many sales people. I chose to go with the The Hot Tub Store based on many factors, now I am unsure if I made the right choice and spent way too much. I choose a salt water hot tub based The Hot Tub Stores sales peoples strong recommendations. I was told about an easy to care for tub that uses salt water to balance and chlorinate and keep the water clean, less work more satisfaction. Not my Experience! Unfortunately two years in I am not having the results they attested too. In my first year of ownership I experienced a heater that leaked and had to be replaced. Not an expected occurrence on a high end spa, but yes those things do happen and I am happy it was covered. In the first year when the leak started and continued, I was perplexed by the dropping water level in the spa. I called and consulted The Hot Tub Store a few times, I was asked to check all the possible issues that could lead to a leak that could be a fault of my own. After exhausting all of those, The Hot Tub Store sent out a technician and it was determined that the Heater was leaking. This is where my confidence really started to erode. When the technician came out I asked about chemical balancing and the amount of chlorine and how to keep and regulate that. I was given advice on the salt water system and its tendencies and how to compensate. I spent the next year trying to keep my spa balanced. I checked, added and addressed any issues as directed and also followed the owners manual directions to a tee. All while keeping my salt cartridge output as recommended. Here are some of the issue I experienced: -My salt water cartridge's deplete at different intervals- The Hot Tub Store would ask, are you using the spa more, that will affect it. The answer, no I am using it less. No conclusion made, just keep monitoring. Still no resolutions for a cartridge that is over $100 to replace -My Spa developed a crusty grey residue that would settle around the waterline. I used an anti foam liquid that was given to me at purchase and now recommended I use it as my spa would generate so many bubbles that the spa was not enjoyable. The Hot Tub Store recommended that I stop using the fragrance additive and water clarifier they gave me at purchase as it could be causing the bubbles/residue. All the while I continued to have to clean my spa with a magic erasure to remove the residue. It did finally stop showing up for about 7 month, but is now back. -I have struggled after the first year with not enjoying the spa and quite frankly have gone extended times not using it even though maintaining it as I worked to get the proper balance. It has just not been enjoyable as the soft non chemical salt water I enjoyed at first year. I now get itchy when using the spa and have resorted to showering after use to help my skin not itch. This is what I was told to expect with a chlorinated spa. I continued to investigate, visit the store and ask question, while armed with my spa readings. I was always given some solution that required extra effort on my part to keep changing things with respect to the maintenance of the spa, none of which have worked. I was told to keep an eye on the ph which I did, I diligently keep it in line all while still having issues with chlorine level adjusting and not staying in the proper zone. I can only attribute this to the salt systems poor design. -My cover prior to two years, which adorns the HotSprings log now leaks water in through the outer cover material. I can only speak from prior experience of owning a hot tub that got more direct sunlight and lasted well into its 6 year prior to starting to cracking that affected the integrity and purpose. Again The Hot Tub Store followed up with questions that put ownership on me "do you your the 360 cleaning and ultra violet protectant? Yes I do. Hmm Now as of almost two years later this is where I get to the point of writing a review as my confidence in the product and The Hot Tub Store are completely shaken. On my last visit to address the water which is now cloudy and all of a sudden lost it chlorine reading. Was told that salt water spas will show low reading on test strip? Not the info I was told or read in past. I brought a sample as requested on last visit. They just dipped the test strip into my sample and said its fine, and said we don' really use that thing. Bought a salt water spa and LOVE it! I splurged and bought a salt water spa. I like them, but have never owned one. I was a little concerned after the shine wore off, I would be like most folks with a rarely used spa. The spa was made to my exact specifications. The delivery was simple and the set up was fast. I have lupus, a neurological disorder, and arthritis. I found I use the spa daily and it greatly diminishes my pain and muscle spasms! The salt makes my skin feel great and has helped my rough feet. I purchased a tub during COVID and it was the floor demo. There were issues with the tub leaking so they sent a service man out to repair it. It continued to leak so they agreed to swap it out for a new model. They were quick, easy to work with, and very professional. We had a small issue originally due to service difficulties due to COVID but they explained the issue and made sure the issue was resolved. Hot Tub store has been in business for a very long time in an industry which has dismissed many competitors. So happy to find them offering the Hotspot line of more affordable spa's. Wether calling or stopping by the shop, there was usually more than one person there to assist with questions. After 21 years with my D1 Spa, it was still running but like an old reliable care. So nice to trade it in for a new Spa. I have enjoyed my Rhythm model Hotspot Spa for a week now, and it is all new and nice again. Todays technology is showing with these moderns spa. Buying a spa is much like buying car, nobody really shows you the prices up front like a menu unless they are retail and inflated. The Hot tub store is no exception. Because he left the company, they will not pay him for the products he sold. They still owe him over $17,000 in sales. We purchased a home that had a Hot Springs spa from the 90s that was still working in 2014! We used it for a couple more years and then toyed with the idea of a new one. We checked around, there are cheaper spas, but the quality and energy efficiency of the Hot Spring spas brought us back time and again to the Hot Tub Store In Rocklin. Each time we came in David greeted us and didn't seem to mind that we were back yet again. Finally one day they had a sale and we found our perfect new spa. We love our spa so much and use it almost daily. It is easy to care for and so energy efficient! We have 110 so we were worried what our PG&E bill would look like. We literally have not noticed a difference. Love our spa and have sincerely enjoyed the experience buying from our local Hot Tub Store. The delivery and set up crew was also so friendly and amazing. First impressions they were great. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and we were excited to get a hot tub. My issue is we were told to have the electrician come out after the hot tub is delivered and this is a huge problem. I ordered a base for my hot tub ( non returnable and from a company other than the hot tub store). We knew our gate would cause problems come delivery so we paid to fix our gate so there would be no issues with delivery. I got the call that my hot tub was ready to be delivered so we called our electrician to give us a quote and thankfully we did or I would be out even more money. Our panel is not able to support a hot tub, every circuit is in use, so we would have to upgrade our panel and because we are SMUD this is not a cheap task due to lines being underground and having to trench to tie into the main line. Needless to say I dont want a hot tub sitting in my backyard that I'm making payments on and can't use. Even after sending a copy of the email from the electrician I am only able to get back half of my deposit. This isn't a case of oh I changed my mind it's a case of I can't make this work right now . It's very frustrating when you are told "no you don't need an electrician until it's delivered so they can see where it's going to be set up" and now I'm out money. Had I not been told that, I wouldn't have held off on getting a quote I would have done it ASAP. Warning to all, make sure your electrical can support a hot tub don't buy into the wait till it's delivered. I'm sure I am not the only customer that has run into this issue and believe me I wish I had the money laying around to upgrade my electric panel now because we truly were looking forward to a hot tub the fall/winter. read more

The service and products are great. We purchased a two person TX hot tub. We enjoy going out at dawn to start a new day. It is relaxing and awakening. We enjoy the peace of bathing, nestled under a redwood tree my mother planted over 40 years ago enjoying nature from our back yard. The sounds of the birds singing, frogs from a creek a few houses away, and a roster or two outside our development greeting the sunrise, with an occasional cow mooing. The last few stars and planets and the moon as the sun lightens up the sky and lights up the clouds. The reflection of the sky and trees on the water. Our back yard is our sanctuary. It is our favorite place, and the hot tub is the center piece (even though it is to the side under a great redwood tree). Vicki and I feel totally connected and celebrate that connection daily in our hot tub. read more

Never in my life have I been so pleasantly surprised! I called with a problem that I was almost sure they wouldn't be able to help me with, and my jaw dropped when Paul, without hesitation, told me that he would see what he could do. What he did was to contact one of his manufacturers with my problem, and they agreed to replace the item that I had purchased from The Hot Tub Store nearly 3 years ago. There was never the slightest effort to sidestep the issue. They simply did what was in their power to do to resolve the issue. God bless The Hot Tub Store, their manufactures, and everybody else that had anything to do with building a company with such a high standard of true customer service. Poor service. Beware of continued delays that they blame on everything but being transparent at the start. Ordered a tub early December with a "late March/early April" delivery. Then it moved to may/June. Now it's July. Absolutely feel like I've been duped. Friends went with another company...ordered 3 months ago and are enjoying their new hot tub delivered and set up in their back yard. I still don't have a date for production. We are new to hot tubs and he came out to our house to assess our yard.
