Since then, because of his lack of services, I have had to start from the bottom up of getting the chemicals corrected. The last thing I heard from him was that he was going to provide a service and he never did. On top of that, he sent me a bill for the month that he had not contacted me back. As a business owner, and somebody who has been a loyal client to this company I would expect a business owner to at minimum, contact the individual back and have an adult conversation explaining the situation. His value was amazing, as he never charged for anything more than the service call and the few chemicals I would need. As an example, another pool service company said "Standard Green to Clean, $600" but dan came out, inspected my filter, fixed my broken filter manifold for the cost of parts plus his service call. Then, he suggested if i want to get it clean faster I could just run over to the pool supply store and buy dose of Green to Clean for $40. I did just like he said. He's a straight shooter who's honesty saved be a bunch of money! Later, I had a bad algae bloom. Dan came straight out and tested my water, no nonsense, he got down to business. Found that the phosphates were high, told me exactly what treatment chemical I would need and how to use it, and of course offered to do it for me or let me do it and save the money. I was a client of Bishop Pool Service for about five years. I inherited them from the previous…read moreowner, so they're well aware of my pool being a saltwater pool. That said, it was always a challenge to get them to use salt instead of chlorine when they would adjust chemicals and clean my pool. No matter how many times I asked, they would forget and continue to use chlorine, which unfortunately was too harsh on my toddler's skin. I made multiple calls about this and reminded the technicians multiple times about this, but I would still get a new technician every six to nine months, and I had to start all over again. The two straws that broke the camel's back were: 1. A 30% increase in monthly pricing 2. A new technician explaining that the reason they can't add salt is because it slows down his route I switched over to Ralphie's Pool Service and am already much, much happier. Ralphie's pricing is significantly less expensive, they bring their own pool salt, and they don't even charge you for the salt. Bishop also charges $300 to clean pool filters compared to $100 with Ralphies. Joel (my technician for the past year at Bishop) was awesome btw.
