I loved the hotel and the overnight worker was super helpful when we came back late after a wedding

Worst staff ever from top down starting with GM Michelle. This hotel has horrible service. It's over rated and over priced. Terribly managed from the top down. Starting with GM Michelle. Continuing to Cayla the day front desk, who is somewhat better and works hard but does not have experience knowledge or support from her seniors. Carrie/Kerry and her GM Michelle are simply lacking the professionalism and respect to even begin to understand the very nature of 4* customer svc let alone the very basics of customer satisfaction. They are borderline discriminatory and at the outset rude, interrupt customers for the most basic requests, repeatedly making excuses, and simply cannot support the level of svc this property should have. We stayed three times to be sure it was consistently bad, under two different booking names. The allure of the high quality restaurant/bar and covered barking let us coming back. But it won't again. We have had enough of the AI robot voice calling us "sugar" and "honey" and offering us walking directions to a "good cup of hot chocolate" instead of just telling us the breakfast hours - which by the way is cooked by a robotic (I'm not joking, com's see for yourself) automated egg cooking machine - which does a decent job! - when it works and doesn't include broken shells. The express machine is good. The evening repackaged Market Basket linzer and black/white cookies are avg. But when you ask three times and make four phone calls just to get a simple work surface desk so you can do emails at night and keep up with work obligations - only to be told that "govt rate rooms only get certain rooms" after being promised a desk - enough is enough. We paid $600, and spent another $500 in the restaurant one week, but apparently they had more important customers. And we were dumb enough to come back the next week thinking it must have been a a busy week. But nope, they just don't care, doesn't matter - they were 40% booked according to the front desk lady - and you get what you get, no desk or king bed available - even though the website showed they were. Sorry folks - this property must have a secret code word - I hope AAA knows they wasted a rating here. Much better properties in NH that better represent our NH hospitality industry. I have stayed here 3 separate times and this is a fantastic hotel, one of my favorite anywhere in this area. The rooms are updated and fresh with very comfortable beds. They provide snacks, water and breakfast. The lobby has a high end (think $15,000 coffee maker). Attached to indoor parking garage which is really nice. Movie theater in basement is fun and you get free popcorn. The staff are wonderful too. read more

My husband and I selected The Hotel Concord as the place for our wedding guests to stay during our wedding weekend. Although our ceremony and reception were held off-site, we chose this hotel because of its location, quality, and reputation. Unfortunately, our experience, and our guests' experience, was extremely disappointing. Check-in time was listed at 3:00PM, and our wedding began at 4:30PM. About 90% of our guests arrived on time, only to be told that their rooms were not ready and wouldn't be available until later that evening due to the hotel being short-staffed and unable to clean rooms. This created several major issues: 1. Our guests were left frustrated and scrambling. Many traveled long distances and expected to have time to rest, get ready, and settle in before the wedding. 2. Most guests had to get ready in public bathrooms, cars, or even in the parking lot of the venue because they had nowhere private to prepare. This was incredibly stressful for them and embarrassing for us as hosts. 3. The welcome bags prepared for them were never given to guests. These bags included personalized items and a QR code for a free Uber ride to the wedding. Because the hotel never checked guests in, the bags were never distributed. As a result, many guests paid unnecessary transportation costs or had trouble finding their way to the venue. To make matters worse, several guests reported that when they finally received their rooms (after the wedding) the rooms did not appear fully cleaned or properly prepared. When we brought these issues to the hotel's attention, the coordinator offered us a "free one-night stay anytime we wanted" as compensation. However, every time we attempted to book this stay (including dates 8+ months in advance), we were told the room we wanted was "unavailable." After multiple attempts, it became clear we were never going to receive the promised stay. Overall, what should have been a smooth, enjoyable experience for our loved ones became stressful, disorganized, and unacceptable. For future couples considering The Hotel Concord for wedding accommodations, I would strongly recommend confirming whether the hotel can reliably honor check-in times, especially if your wedding begins in the afternoon. Based on our experience, that cannot be guaranteed. This has directly affected our wedding day experience; something that cannot be redone. read more

Super nice staff and good location in downtown. Dont know much about the area but the rooms were very clean, nicely appointed, good beds...what else do you need? Lobby is nice but breakfast area is sparse but its free continental so cant really talk too much sh*t about it. I like the hotel its a nice room and clean. Only real complaint, when the AC kicks on it sounds like someone is slamming your door shut every ten minutes so that can be annoying !! Would stay here again though if I am back in the area. read more

I booked a Luxury King room in the Hotel Concord expecting luxury. Unfortunately, it was not luxurious. It was not at all like the picture on the web-site. The room consisted of a spacious bathroom and a small square bedroom with a king bed and a view of the slums of Concord. It felt like the room was crowded, not luxurious. The room is meant for two people but there is only one chair. There is no fridge. No desk for a computer. No microwave. An average size TV which is unresponsive to the remote much of the time. The thermostat is hard to regulate. It was set at 62 but the room temperature was 72 which made for uncomfortable sleeping. To use the elevators, it is necessary to swipe your room key card before selecting your floor. Perhaps that's tolerable but my room key card stopped working half way through my stay. An unapologetic and apathetic concierge fixed my key card. For the price of the rooms the hotel staff should be bending over backwards to do whatever they can do for the hotel guests. The hotel staff was aloof. Some of the staff were snobby. The hotel has no swimming pool or hot tub. It's necessary to go down the street to the YMCA if you want to swim. The hotel has no parking. Parking is in the adjacent municipal parking garage. This makes coming and going awkward. For the price of the rooms, the hotel should have valet parking for the hotel guests. Breakfast was complementary but meager. Very meager. The Hotel Concord provides poor quality and charges ridiculously high, costly rates. I booked a Luxury King room expecting luxury. I was terribly disappointed. I booked the Luxury King room for two nights which cost $461.12. Then I decided I needed an extra night. The extra night cost $340.80. That is ridiculous. On the positive side.....The coffee machine made regular, decaf, cappuccino and espresso coffee, all of which were very good. The walk-in shower was really good and relaxing with an adjustable shower stream. And, there was a Bible in the bedstand drawer. Very nice touch. However, I would not book the Hotel Concord again. read more

Very deceptive marketing on their website. We paid almost 400 dollars for a room and thought we were getting a suite with two rooms but received a one room that was like staying in an office. The tv was minuscule and had a bizarre toggle switch that worked sporadically at most . Tv stations were a joke. The breakfast was the best part and, oh yeah, the amazing stuff my wife did to me was the only memorable thing. Never going back! We got a room at Econolodge the following night and had better amenities for a hundred and ten dollars. read more

This review is long overdue. First, I had to fly out to New Hampshire from Colorado as my fiancé ended up in the ICU. The staff at the hotel truly made me feel at home during a very difficult time. Every single person who worked there went above and beyond to not only be supportive but to make me feel truly comfortable. I would give them 50 stars if I could on that alone. Besides the 5 star service, the rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean. The beds were incredible, the cleanliness was above and beyond which I value and the food from the restaurant downstairs was delicious. I also appreciated that there was a mini fridge and the co-op was right across the street so that I could get things for the week as I was there for quite some time. I also had endometriosis surgery a little over a week before my arrival and I could not lift more than 10lbs. Every single person who worked at the hotel assisted me in every step of the way. I would not stay anywhere else and I am looking forward to coming back one day under better circumstances. Thank you to everyone who worked there. You deserve all the praise! Super disappointed! My husband has stayed here before and we were really looking forward to staying here this winter when watching our son play hockey in the area. Was booked to stay Thursday to Sunday but unfortunately we woke up to a sick child. Hotel Concord still charged me for one night, like I can control a sickness. Beautiful hotel with a great location on Concord's Main Street. Unfortunately, one member of the staff ruined our experience. As someone who grew up in Concord, we were excited to spend the weekend at this hotel for a wedding. After near filling the hotel with business for the weekend, the night manager made our group incredibly uncomfortable during our stay. This began with a single noise complaint at 10pm and the night managers nonstandard response of banging (no other word for it) down the door and ranting to our group about how much people spend to stay there a night. (Something we already knew as we also were in fact paying that). And ended with the bride being nicer than necessary the next day to apologize for the one noise complaint. The night manager's response to the bride (literally in her dress) was "well just so you know, we lost $400 because we had to comp a room." I have a hard time imagining they teach that at hospitality school. I was honestly embarrassed for our out of town friends. While it is a beautiful hotel, I wouldn't recommend your wedding block there. The hospitality and professionalism are lacking and that's not something you need to deal with on a wedding weekend of all weekends. read more

Walk in shower, good size bed, K-Cup machine with coffee (regular & decaf) & tea (okay English tea but you want technicals). True no alarm clock but call the front desk they'll see you right, Alexa I bet & the TV isn't on that damn CNN so a big time plus & yes photos are coming. read more

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would. We needed a room last minute and Lorraine was so helpful and welcoming. She found a room for us and the room was beautiful. Probably the cleanest hotel room I've checked into - and we stay at 5 star hotels. The room amenities are complete with robe, slippers, complete bath amenities, ice bucket, fridge, etc. And the bed- sooo comfy- we've been traveling up and down the East coast and we had the best nights sleep so far. Every staff person we met was helpful and friendly. I'm COVID nervous and the breakfast room alleviated my fears with a clean, easily accessible food. Easy to space seating away from others. Doug came in to replenish breakfast food (another sweet friendly staff person) and he did it in the most sanitary way. My only negative is that we can't stay longer- but we will be back!! read more

Great location in downtown Concord. Easy walk to restaurants and Capital Center for the Arts. Room was spacious with tall ceilings, very clean, comfortable beds, with extra amenities including robes and slippers, a clothing steamer, chocolates, bottles of water, Echo Dot (or something similar), wide screen flat tv, and free parking. Staff was professional and courteous. Definitely exceeded our expectations based on the price point. Highly recommend! read more

The multi-use building is in the very center of Downtown, with one of the city's best bars and restaurants onsite (O steaks and seafood). It was very nice. The staff was accommodating and professional. The building seems to be manage sound well. You could not hear any street noise. It was easily walkable to anything downtown. The only drawback was the parking, knowing how to access the hotel and using gps to get there. With a festival downtown it made that sticky. read more

The Hotel Concord was Amazing! My son and I spent the weekend this past week and every second was a fantastic experience. The staff were beyond helpful and so nice. Caroline & Mary were super helpful and extremely friendly. The room was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever stepped foot in. We felt like we were living the high life. The covered parking garage is directly attached to the hotel for instant access and is free for guests. O's steakhouse was also amazing. I always worry about where we may be able to eat safely as my son has a bunch of food allergies. The manager Michael greeted us as we walked in with a smile. Michael made sure they could accommodate my sons allergies and the meal was absolutely perfect. We decided to spend both nights of our trip dining there as it is in the lobby of the hotel. Very nice - and a pleasant surprise. Right smack in downtown Concord, NH, the Hotel Concord offers an elevated hotel experience in a relatively compact city - that just happens to the be capital of New Hampshire. We checked in Saturday to a very large room with a king size bed and a very comfortable love seat by the window. Big gorgeous marble bathroom, nice amenities - a television that worked well (thought the remote has a learning curve.) Staff were super friendly and some good dining options - for dinner or breakfast - are just blocks away. Free parking in the attached garage on the weekends, a good local book store two blocks away and a great experience. read more

Check in was easy and took us about 3 minutes. I was beat and just wanted to get to our room. Everything was extremely clean and our bed was fluffed and beautifully made also bed was a little firm which is great for our back. Two welcoming chocolates were just what we needed! There were complimentary slippers we were so grateful for. They have a gym but only two ppl can go in there at a time which my husband and I were ok with. Cute little town. Totally convenient the steakhouse was right next door because that was absolutely delicious. Very central to anywhere you would need to go. Breakfast was in a lunch bag and very easy pick up at the front. Extremely social distanced and safe we loved the stay! Thank you so much. read more

This hotel is very nice to stay at but mostly just because of its looks. Yes it is very up to date and kind of fancy. But some of the staff are very rude and judgemental of the people that choose to pay and stay at their hotel for no real reason at all. Adorable boutique hotel. New place that is clean and comfortable. Well appointed room. Staff was unbelievably nice. Parking is in the garage off Storrs Street and it is free. A little tricky to navigate the walk from the garage to the hotel, just follow signs for Capital Commons. DO NOT eat at O's Steakhouse that is adjacent. Although it may look nice, the food and service is terrible. You will wait way too long and you will be disappointed. Ask the friendly staff at the Hotel Concord and they will recommend a place like Revival or Angelina's. They do offer a simple continental breakfast. The desk clerk said there would be eggs, but there were no eggs. And there are no breakfast places that you can walk to. Not a big deal because this is Concord NH not Manhattan. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Most of the other hotels in Concord are nasty. read more

This hotel is absolutely spectacular! The rooms are very specious and the layout is beautiful. The bathrooms are also large with plenty of space. The rooms include a Keurig maker with a great selection of coffees and teas that are complimentary. The floor to ceiling windows provide beautiful views of the surrounding area. They also have great light canceling shades so the light doesn't wake you up in the morning. It is centrally located on Main Street and walking distance to many eateries. This hotel was absolutely our top favorite of our New England vacation. We stayed in the Luxury King room which was gorgeous (BIG!!) and had a huge balcony. No one was in the room next door so we had the huge balcony overlooking downtown Concord to ourselves. It was very clean and lovely. The breakfast with danish, muffins, egg sandwiches you could make, etc. was really good. Very friendly staff and super helpful. We will return for sure!!!! GREAT hotel. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Booked a seminar there over two months ago for this past Saturday. When I arrived they had no record of it and put someone else in my room, so I had people registered and no room even close to setup. On top of that as they scrambled to get a room setup, they couldn't even get my presentation to work on their overhead. Pure incompetence! It's now Tuesday and I haven't received so much as a email apologizing for their debacle. I do seminars on a regular basis and this was by far my worst experience. I'm a concord resident and will never use this place for anything again and will spread the word! read more

Such a fun hotel. Our room was right on top of Main Street with windows from floor to ceiling. Really cool views! Loved the modern/funky rooms and so clean. All of the city is walkable from here. Great parking too. Beds are nothing great, no pool, and no way to order movies, basic cable, which is fine for most. Great continental breakfast as part of the room charge. I recommend this place and would stay again. read more

Good Hotel overall. But, they won't let you go on to the balcony nor change the channel or the sound in the lounge TV, and also our toilet had some problems. Great place to visit for the primaries, It was full of candidates, journalists, advisors, and even secret service. And also some kind staff. read more

I stayed here about a month ago now and enjoyed my stay, however, I gave this rating for the staff. I called the following day to inquire about Bose headphones I left in my room and was told I would receive a call back after they spoke to housekeeping...I called three more times throughout the week and kept being told the same thing that I would get a call back. It wasn't until I asked to speak to a manager that someone actually followed through and called me back to say they did not find my headphones. I was extremely disappointed in how this was handled by every staff member I spoke to including the manager. I would expect a high priced hotel like this to have the ability to review their security cameras and be more diligent about assuring their guests that they will follow through on a request. If you see a cleaning lady with blue Bose headphones, she can thank me and her staff for those! That experience alone is enough to prove this hotel is overpriced and criminal. read more
