Love this bar. Super chill vibes. My wife and me came here for St Patrick's day for a green beer. Saw the list of mixed drinks and had to order some cocktails. So I came here with my best friend on the eve of her wedding to celebrate and watch the first night of the Dodgers playoffs after hearing good things about the bar. We hadn't even drank our drinks before the bartender Brian got into a heated argument with a patron because he was standing on the bar order area--even though there was literally nobody else in the bar! Rude. There was no sound for either the dodgers or rams game so I asked why that was and he said it was because they were having a city council meeting and that he would turn the sound on once the meeting was finished. So I went back to the table and told my friend why there was no sound and I walk half joking saying "they have a city hall for this. This is a sports bar not a city council meeting bar. Why inconvenience the patrons?" And Brian yelled to me across the bar top "if you wanna leave a review and talk shit you can come up to my face and do it right fucking here" and then my friend had to call him down. The manager needed to reprimand him and leave the city council meeting and take him to the back while she made sure to make a connection with the customer with whom he'd gotten into an argument with and THEN returned to the meeting. We finished our drinks and instead of continuing our patronage there, decided to go to Applebee's. This was a great place because o love game of thrones and the concept but so long as Brian is here, neither my friend or I will return. He's bringing this establishment down. If you keep him, make sure he doesn't mouth off and talk shit to customers. This was the WORST experience I've ever had at an establishment.basically the drinks were great but service was absolute shit and we felt like a high school student with a detention slip. My new favorite local bar! On Tuesday, when nothing is going on, I usually like to go and have a few drinks with my pals and play Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The staff is extremely nice, and the people in there are very kind and chill. Nothing but good vibes in there. This place upholds great merits, one of them being how cool the sound system is with their great song selection, and, of course, phenomenal drinks. Without a doubt, the bartenders uphold a creative and superb talent and skills on their mixed drinks. I've gone to a few bars around, and nothing comes close to just how refreshing their Moscow mules are. I always get one because it's so damned good! The bar upholds a modern design on it's architecture and decor. It doesn't look run down, nor does it look ghetto. This place is definitely the new "it " spot on South Gate. After going to hops since it seemed ehhh we came here. It was so so so crowed everyone from hops was here. I had gone before and it was lonely so it's gotten popular over the months. The drinks are really good. My complain is I feel they should hire MORE BARTENDERS because the bar area gets chaotic. I also think maybe the owners should think about expanding it because it's always overcrowded and seems to be a popular place Oh and PARKING SUCKS big time. They made me two amazing drinks that both contained whiskey (White Walker & Giants Milk) and I'm not a whiskey drinker but they were amazing that the Giants Milk reminded me of (arroz con leche) it was so good. Thought we would try it out again, stopped by but this time it was whack and disgusting. Gnats (fruit flies) all over so disgusting even the drink mixers were covered in cellophane wrap to keep them from going in. Had to keep waving my hand to keep them from flying in my beer. Then, I had to use the ladies room and it had been busy for sometime the bar manager or whoever he was was in the ladies room for at least 10 minutes by the time we had one drink paid and left he still hadn't came out. Needless to say doubt we would be going back anytime soon. At least till they fumigate. Parking on the back was kind of full so I had to wait for a parking spot (i know this is typical for a Saturday night but it was really inconvenient) Anyways, I was there probably for like 2 hours and when I got to my car I noticed my car had a dent. I literally just got my car probably like 4 weeks ago so it's a brand new car ! I know that dent someone made it at the bar because i had washed my car myself earlier in the day and it didn't had that dent. I fell in love with this bar. A close friend mentioned that a new bar had opened on firestone and she has asked me to join her a couple of occasions. I went to grab a drink her and a couple of others friends and I loved. It has a great atmosphere, drinks are great and service is also great. To my disappointment, my friend and I weren't let in by security because he was wearing flip flops. The security guard said it was the owner's policy. Well, there is no other way to put it...it's a stupid, outdated policy. Your bar is in Southern California, (South Gate, no less) and it's 2019. I was loving this bar until I saw the males go in the females restroom. I approached the security guard to let him know that I didn't think it was ok for the men to go inside the woman's restroom and he replied with "I let the girls go inside the men's" I said well don't let them. Women should know when to go make line to pee. And he replied with "there's only one restroom for each men and women we have to understand I can't let them pee themselves"... uh no homie! I don't want to worry about having to wipe dry the toilet seat before I put the seat cover because some drink guy was allowed to go in the women's restroom.... BIG NO NO for me.
