    French 75

It's a lovely, quaint little location in downtown Birmingham near a few cool places. I ordered a French 75 for $12 during happy hour, also they include $5 glasses of wine. The ambience is amazing, and the mixologist was super nice! Check it out!

This was a very pleasant experience and overall vibe. We were looking for a place to hang out before a concert in BHAM and this place looked exactly like our sort of place. And, it was. Comfortable blue crushed velour couches overlooking the street view, pleasant classic tunes on the radio, a kind bartender taking care of everyone. Really, a great place to hang out before a concert. Drinks were good. The old fashioned I had was pretty well made with three kinds of bitters added. My wife had one of the seasonal drinks which had this wonderful violet hue to it making it feel extra fancy. My only small critique would be price point. It was $30, if you include an appropriate tip, for two drinks. Since we only had the two drinks, this wasn't so bad for the hour we spent there, but if you wanted to have a few, you might be feeling a bit poorer the next day. (Note: this was mostly due to the old fashioned being $14) Still, a lovely and relaxing place. Will most likely be back.

We happened to be downtown for an event and decided to stop for a cocktail before we left the area. A quick Google search brought up The Margaret. It was close by, and we had never been, so we decided to stop it. The first thing I noticed was the number of chandeliers. It definitely added to the ambiance. Also, the alligator made out of spare items on the back wall was interesting. Think paint brushes, hinges, etc. My favorite was the backroom. It reminded us of the old Blue Monkey cocktail bar that used to be on Cobb Lane. It was nice and quiet, which is what we were looking for. We noticed the number of skeletons hanging around. Kind of gave it a creepy vibe. Left over from Halloween, or just because? I would love to hear the back story. Great place. I would love to visit again. The bartender made great drinks. My favorite was The Hurricane.

Stop at The Margaret Bar while in Downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Cool location with good vibe. Drinks were great. Service was excellent. Pets welcome. If in town, will definitely stop for a drink or two. Worth visiting.

I went to The Margaret with a small group of friends on a Tuesday evening. Immediately when you walk in, it feels like you've stepped away from Alabama, which I love. It feels like an escape from the everyday. The couches, chandeliers, and funky chairs added to the overall ambiance. I didn't order any of their specialty cocktails, but several sounded delicious. I was just in a wine mood, and their selections were nice! I went for a pinot noir at $10/glass. We played one of the games they have available, but an important card component was missing, so we looked the missing cards up online. Overall, it was a very comfy, low key night downtown, and I'll definitely be back! I'm curious to see how it is on a weekend night!

First night in town with Gorgeous, and we needed a place to relax before dinner. Loved the velvet furniture and chandeliers. Very comfortable atmosphere. Gender neutral bathrooms were very clean. Taylor was friendly working behind the bar.

The Margaret is a super lovely bar! The ambiance is excellent. It's a friendly, clean adult vibe. They have a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The bar is nice and clean and well organized, with a lovely mirror in the background that gives an excellent reflection. Some of you will remember this bar; it is the old atomic, but it is wholly made new. You will not find a clue of any resemblance to the old bar that was in the space. They have their special drinks that are very cute and refreshing. I had a watermelon cucumber. I added vodka to mine to make it non virgin. The bartenders were very friendly, and they were very social. They weren't just standing off the side; they had a conversations with me, and my friend in the bar was super cute. It would be best if you gave it a try. You can even stop at this bar on a pedal tour. When I was there, a paddle tour came through super cute they play good music, and we stood up and danced for a minute. you'll want to put them on your list of places to check out!

Amazing drinks, bartender and atmosphere. There's even parking right next door. It gets pretty busy after 8.

They have a food truck that I've heard wonderful things about and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was almost like a chopped Caesar salad and it was just the right amount for a small girl dinner. If you like Parmesan cheese, this is a must order as they do not skimp on that! What was really nice however was that you couldn't tell the food was from a food truck. It was great quality and you are able to order from inside the bar and they deliver it to you. That was a great service. I can't quite remember which cocktail I got, but it was very delicious and at one point the server had even given me a new chilled glass so my drink would remain cold as I sipped on it. This is definitely a great date night spot or just a place to grab a drink with friends, definitely a little more upscale as we were there in the evening, so the lights were dim. I won't drop my rating as it's spring time in the South but I remember being cold immediately as I walked in- but that's typical for a lot of places.

They have multiple seating options; the first floor has booths that can accommodate smaller and large groups. The bar area is very inviting and fun to be able to watch your drinks being made and upstairs offers a more private area. When not seated at the bar they do have someone to come around to make sure you have what you need. The servers are very nice and tend to remember you, which is a great feeling. The menu rotates seasonally, which makes it easier to try new things. My favorite menu item so far has been the cheeseball that was on the menu around Christmas time. It had a great flavor served with crackers the only thing is when we came back after the first of the year it wasn't on the menu anymore. On my most recent visit I had the queso which also had great flavor, served with blue corn tortilla chips. When it comes to the drinks I like how on the menu they let you know how strong it is using toucans. Many of the drinks feature rum, but they do still offer some gin and tequila options. Everything I've had has been good and something I would try again. I would like to note that many of the drinks are fruity and can be somewhat sweet. At Christmas time they even had holiday themed drinkware which I felt was a nice touch. If you are not a drinker, they also have options for mocktails. Which has been great for me the last couple of months. I didn't care for the Phony Negroni, but I think Negroni itself might be an acquired taste

It's a pretty neat hangout spot with a bar and food service, virtual baseball and football, bowling, darts, and several other games. The mac and cheese was a little bland and could have used more seasoning, but the chicken tenders were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Honestly, if I wasn't there for work, I probably would have gorged myself on those chicken tenders . And the brownie? Spectacular. Thick, moist, and super fudgy, definitely the highlight for me! Service was great also-they came around routinely checking in to see if we needed any drinks, cleaned up plates, etc. Not necessarily somewhere I'd go specifically for myself, but I can absolutely see the appeal for groups, work events, or anyone looking for a fun place to hang out, eat, drink, and play some games.
