What an awesome place!!! On a busy Saturday night, they were somehow able to quickly accommodate our large party of 14. Our server was ON IT, always attentive and upbeat, despite the seemingly constant needs our table produced. My husband and I ordered the chopped salad to share as an appetizer and I wish I'd ordered it as my main. It was SOOO GOOD and they didn't skimp on the toppings whatsoever. They must make their ranch dressing in-house because it was bomb. The BBQ chicken pizza was our main; you can easily feed three people with how big it was. Delicious too! What a fun little place! If you like wild west history, this place is it. Its half museum for Buffalo Bill Cody who rode the pony express and then started the wild west show with folks like Annie Oakly. We waited a while to sit because there are not a ton of tables, but there was so much to look at. They had memorabilia from Tombstone and Dances with Wolves and a few spots to take pics. I ordered a french dip on rye which gave it a really unique flavor. The meat was sliced thin and tender. The corn chowder was flavorful and hearty. I enjoyed both. The spaghetti bolognese lacked flavor and had a watery consistency, the brisket was consistently dry, and the dinner rolls tasted days old. Had a large group and this place made great accommodations. Wonderful waitress and staff great space and good food. Appetizers came quickly and so did our drinks. Food for 30 people was also very quick and no one was forgotten. For being in a small town this is an awesome spot that has a brewery next door with double the options the have at the restaurant and beer to go which is always a plus. Only thing was my salmon on my salad was maybe 3oz so for a $7 up charge that was a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker. The property and decor and how everything is set up is very well thought out and beautiful. We sat outside and the kids loved all the things they could explore and play with. I was freaking obsessed with this place as we entered in. This restaurant is beautiful. I also don't know how to describe the smokey smell that it had as you walk in but it's just amazing! The blackberry margarita was so good and made with a blackberry puree. The old fashions are STRONG! We enjoyed all of our food. We have been to the old location before and weren't really impressed. Decided to give this new location a try. First off this new location is beautiful. They spared no expense with the decor. There is also a nice brewery that is associated with this restaurant. Both spots have nice seating outdoors for those beautiful summer nights. The staff here was amazing. I've been to the establishment several times to watch sports. There were 9 other people in the bar area with over a dozen TVs. Where I was sitting there was no one else. I asked to change to a different NFL game because all they had were the Cardinals games. I honestly didn't expect to like this place so much. Maybe I was in the right frame of mind for Western kitsch and a good steak. The place is big and so are the servings. The Tavern Salad was our favorite dish: lots of flavor, fresh greens, and the right balance of dressing to ingredients. The ribeye was cooked to proper temperature and was well seasoned. Service was pretty good, although it took a long time to order anything that wasn't preset on the menu because there were a lot of buttons to push. Decor is bizarre, but interesting if you're in the mood. The only misfire was my Manhattan, which tasted like they made it in a shaker that wasn't perfectly clean from the last drink. We are residents in Show Low and had been meaning to try this new location. First off, their in house brewed beer was good. I liked the Amber alot. Thats about where the positives end though. My wife ordered a mixed drink and they were out of one of the flavors/ingredients. Our family ordered a whole rotisserie chicken and they were out of those too. She ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms and it was so mediocre. Dominos has better pizza IMO, especially for the outrageous cost here. Sauce had zero flavor, crust seemed like a frozen generic. Cheese was good though I guess, as most cheese is. I ordered the Country Fried Steak, which I get almost everywhere I go. I was so let down. The steak was just your run of the mill pre-made frozen version that I get down the street at my breakfast spot. I know 100% its the same patty/steak but down the street I get it for $11 less! Good bbq beans with this meal. Over all we were super let down because the cost vs food quality. My wife and I spent $70 after tip/tax for subpar quality we could get elsewhere for half the cost. The fries are good. My bf got the country fried steak is really good and the sauce is nice and peppery. Wish it was bigger!
