The first time I had coffee at the Human Bean, I was expecting another disappointing and overrated brew like Starbucks. Was I ever wrong! The Mexican Mocha that I ordered was fabulous. Super cute little coffee drive thru! I ordered a green tea smoothie and an iced Hazelnut coffee. Perfectly tasty and sweet. Both drinks were really good, and the girls working were super friendly. I have always loved Human Bean! This coffee shop has never been a hit or miss their coffee is always so delicious, but today I ordered a Peppermint Mocha my Mocha tasted nothing like coffee, it was more like Hot Chocolate milk with a pump of peppermint, I also ordered it with soy milk, it tasted nothing like soymilk as you know soymilk has it's own taste. I was very excited to drink my coffee, but I was so disappointed. Human Bean has always been my favorite, I always preferred HB rather than those other Chain Company Coffee places. I love their drinks and the happy and smiling young people who work there. Their smiles and greetings start my day out right. It seems their drinks taste so much better than the other coffee shops like Dutch Brothers and Dunkin Donuts and of course Starbucks. I asked the girls what type of milk they use and they told me they use a local dairy company that buys its milk from local Nevada dairy farmers. No wonder their lattes taste so much better. The coffee is consistent and good. I have never had a bad coffee and we frequent this location quite often. I love the coffee bean they add on top. I also appreciate the fact that they have SO many things to choose from. I have had tea, coffee, and frozen drinks, and all of them have been good, not great. My husband loves their mochas. You can't help but notice that all of the ladies that work there are young and pretty, I imagine that is part of the appeal! My husband and I do joke that on the weekends some of the girls look they may have had a little bit too much fun the night before, but we don't mind because the coffee is always good! It is much better than Starbucks, and close to our house, so we continue to go. I also like that they offer a punch card, which I forget to use half the time! Shockingly neither of the staff knew anything about it , and after they called their manager I was told the manager didn't know anything about the promotion on Yelp, and there was nothing they could do. This is only regarding the Longly and McCarran location. I like the drinks, when they get it right. Make sure you check your drink is correct before you leave because God forbid you have to go back. The girls that work there gave me so much attitude when I went back to tell them they got my order wrong. Slamming things down and asking me if I drank some of the drink. Yes...that's how I knew it was wrong. They also gave my mom the wrong drink the week before. Maybe their products are labeled wrong because they keep doing it. But that is no excuse for extremely poor attitude when you are working in customer service. I didn't give them one for making me drive back. Maybe in the future I won't be so nice. But then again in the future I will drive the extra few minutes to go to the south Virginia location where they have always been nice and get my drink right every time. read more
