Do you need something cool and refreshing, but not necessarily a drink? Stop in at your local Hyppo and get an oldfashioned Ice pop. Their flavours are extensive, but this time I chose Pineapple, my friend chose blueberry and we were both happy with our fruit flavored experiences. For a dollar more, they will dip the bars in chocolate!
I visited both locations tampa Hyde park and st pete lol on the same day! Yes it was that good. I grabbed the coconut coconut & it was rich! Creamy & delicious if you've been to New York and had the coquitos from the ladies selling them on the corner it taste just like that!!! I was shocked!! And so happy lol I seriously had 3 the entire weekend hahah Tried the strawberry cheesecake that one was great as well!! However the orange cream was not good , it didn't have nothing cream about it. It tasted like an orange ice pop. (It was tossed in the garbage) Also wish their signs inside the fridge stated which were dairy free. With a lot of options it's hard to tell. Will visit again
When I come home to the Tampa Bay Area and explore St Pete, I always stop by to Hyppo. The store is pretty central with a lot of shops nearby. The service is also great. For this visit I got the Blueberry cheesecake popsicle. Although, I recommend trying their other flavors. They have a mango champagne one that I also liked. The store is also instagramable and has a really cute aesthetic.
We absolutely loved visiting The Hyppo, and we can't believe we hadn't tried it before now! We had a Valentine's dinner downtown and walked over to The Hyppo for a light dessert, and that's exactly what we got. This little popsicle shop is so adorable, the vibe, the murals, the flavors - so fruity! We tried a fruity flavor, Strawberry Basil, and we tried a creamy flavor, Coconut Coconut. Both were absolutely delicious and so refreshing! What we also found really fun was the HUGE clear case of Popsicles to choose from! They had every single flavor that you could choose from displayed underneath the entire countertop, so you knew exactly what you were getting, and exactly what it looked like. We really look forward to visiting again! Especially now that we have a punchcard (LOVE REWARDS) - we are really looking forward to that free popsicle!
The. Best. Popsicles. Better than Mexican paletas. Better than ice pops, or the popsicles of your youth. Just stupidly, wonderfully good. And a huge selection to boot. I literally ran a random number generator to pick for me, and over two visits was amazed by both ( jackfruit and strawberry cheesecake). My kid had an Elvis (peanut butter, jelly and banana) and a Mexican hot chocolate--both were good but I felt the hot chocolate one had a slightly gritty texture. Dad had a strawberry one that tasted like magic. Nothing was overly sweet, and fruit flavors were bold and fresh. As I mentioned, we went twice -- my kid said "I refuse to leave town without going to the Hyppo again." That was correct, in every way.
Loved treating myself to a Hyppo popsicle when I was in Gainesville and their St. Pete location is no different! They have countless flavors to choose from, ranging from fruity to creamy, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they're all delicious! You can taste the high quality ingredients in every bite. Honestly it's one of the most refreshing popsicles you'll ever have. My go-to is the pistachio but there's so many other choices it's a shame not to give the others a chance. You can also request your popsicle to be covered in chocolate if that strikes your fancy. The location itself is wonderful, a welcoming interior nestled in downtown St. Pete. And even more welcoming staff! Run, don't walk, and get your Hyppo fix asap!

My surprise soon turned into excitement when I saw the large variety of flavors...and my excitement then turned into enjoyment when I took that first lick! Wow! They have the freshest ingredients in their pops which add a bucket of flavor in your mouth. I firstly got the blueberry lavender lemonade pop and it was even better than I had imagined. As a lavender lover it can be a hit or miss on not getting the proportion right but it was just as tart as it was calming. The second pop I got ( because one just isn't enough) was a cranberry apple. The cranberry apple was texturally a bit like apple sauce which I didn't mind and actually loved. A woman I went with had the same pop and the flavor was great for her but the texture was a 6/10. They also have a rewards program for a free pop and I'm also thankful for the opportunity to get free food. This is my favorite place to get popsicles in downtown St.pete

Just like almost every other person who has been here, I love it! Endless choices but my favorite is the Coconut Coconut so I do have to say, I have been to every local location that Hyppo has in the Tampa Bay area and more often times than not, they are ALL out of this flavor. They are always polite and apologize and say it's one of their best sellers... so my thought process to that if this is the same outcome at every location... order MORE at one time or the company needs to boost up the production numbers for a sell out item. It does get kinda annoying when you can never get your favorite flavor and one of their staples so you leave empty handed more often than not. I will still walk in and check if I am in the area or any of their locations to check though... and have even called ahead.
Can you please open a shop in Miami?!?!! If you build one, we ALL will come!!! Holy @#$%! This is the BEST ice cream I've ever had in my life. I'm not kidding! The shop is cute, perfect location, street parking and all that exists here but lets talk about why this is the best gourmet ice cream possibly ever! Flavor and all their concoctions of it! I'm more of a salty girl but when I want ice cream I'm usually happy with just a vanilla or coconut, simple but delish. I wasnt ready for these flavors. I thought they'd have a good variety but not over 400 flavors!!! WHAT!!!!! And forget my vanilla they have eclectic flavors like pineapple cilantro (this was my 2nd favorite) dragon fruit, coconut avocado, banana rum. beet pineapple giinger, and so much more but the holy.og.holys was the blueberry goat cheese . Listen, I know it sounds like it doesnt go...it freaking does and it is absolutely phenomenal. Guys there are so many flavors go on the website and please just go look. I was flabbergasted and appalled at first but after trying several I realized this was the best tasting gourmet, fancy AF ice creams ever! These should be in every freezer worldwide and the best thing is you can take them home. They have a little cooler thingy to keep them cold...just dont thinknthey make it to Miami...not unless you have some dry ice....lol..People the ice cream is that damm good...I want to try every damm flavor there is because everything I was allowed onto try tasted so great! Kudos to the creators of all the different flavors. I would have never put some of these ingredients together but they just qork!!!!
Wow! Great concept - Popsicles with natural ingredients featuring a ton of unique flavors. These are definitely not the food dyed, high fructose laced Pops I grew up eating. Eleven shops in Florida and likely growing. I visited their Saint Petersburg's shop in a revitalized section of the City. The weather was perfect for a cold treat, especially following heated game of Shuffle Board with my brother-in-law. At $2.25 -$4.50 they are worth every nibble, dribble, and lick. After a long debate and a refusal of my request by the attendant to sample one of each Pop, I settled for a Pineapple Cilantro Pop. Odd? One would think, but the two flavors really blended and complimented themselves. Check-out my photos of each freezer and the menu board drool inducing views.
Love this spot for a quick refreshing ice pop! They have some really unique flavors, my favorite is definitely the blackberry goat cheese! Definitely ask the staff for recommendations they are very helpful! The shop is a cute space from the heat with delicious sweet treats ! read more

Adore, adore, adore. This place is amazing. I love the variety of flavors and dairy-free options. Truly something for everyone. My favorites are the Mexican hot chocolate, blueberry lavender lemonade, mango mojito and watermelon hibiscus. Affordable, and delicious! read more

The ice cream was amazing!!! Very creamy. The Oreo ice cream was to die for. You can definitely taste that it's homemade. The waffle cone tasted so good! Definitely stop by if you're ever passing by or in the area! read more

Delicious, all natural & so many flavors! Dairy, dairy-free, vegan - you name it, they have it. EXTREMELY dog- friendly. Yes, that means you and your dog can enjoy a popsicle on a hot Florida day. I would highly recommend "The Elvis." It's a peanut butter popsicle and dogs love it. I personally have tried the chocolate cheesecake, straight strawberry and a few others. They were all so good. Kind of pricey for a popsicle but hey, YOLO. There's actually a rewards system too if you happen to go often. After eight stamps, you get the next one free. You can also dip any popsicle in chocolate for an extra $1. Indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of street parking. read more
It was a hot November day, so we dodged inside the Hyppo to try some unique popsicles. I ordered the Guava Cheesecake popsicle. The flavors were powerful & a refreshing change from grocery store popsicles. The only complaint I have is that the popsicle was so excellent that I wanted to try another one. But the steep price of nearly $5 stopped me. The Hyppo has an incredible menu board of popsicle flavors that all sound so amazing.. This place was a totally fun treat. read more
The people working there were SO kind and patient, popsicles were delicious and inventive and the toasted coconut was *ridiculous* in a good way. One of the women working there was so kind to my nephew and answered all our questions. I've taken my nephew to all kinds of locales throughout USA. Los Angeles beaches, Vegas, NJ shores, New York City, a lot more. I recently asked him where he wanted to go for our next trip and he said "back to Hyppo"! Overall super solid place with quality ingredients! read more
Love this place! All of the frozen bars are made with real fruit and it actually taste like it. They're so fresh and frozen so they aren't melting the minute it's opened. You can dip any of the bars in chocolate and they dip it right in front of you. I went with the Phoenix dipped in chocolate. 10/10 recommend!! The young lady who was working was so nice and had any nutritional fact you needed about any of the bars. There's plenty of seating inside so you can stay and eat in there or walk around downtown!! read more

This was my first time visiting so I told the person working there that I love strawberries and I wanted something refreshing and she recommended me the Strawberry Basil. It was exactly what I needed! So refreshing and good. They have so many options I definitely want to go back and try more delicious popsicles! read more
There are two locations in the Tampa Bay Area. One in St. Petersburg and the other is in Hyde Park. There are many popsicles to choose from. Some are only seasonal. There are some popsicles that are more fruity and some more creamy. All the flavors I tried before were amazing. It's all natural and you can really taste the fruit. Today we chose blueberry cheesecake and apple cranberry. Both great but I think I prefer the blueberry more because it's slightly sweeter. Stuff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it. read more
From alcoholic popsicles to unique flavors, Hypoo has anything for the partying adult or a family with kiddos. It is quite overwhelming with how many flavors they have but every one was great. I highly recommend this in the warm Florida weather! read more

Such a hot day ! I needed to cool down. Something healthy too! I came across this icy pop shop! So many frozen fruit treats to chose from! I chose the blueberry açaí. I am thrilled with my choice! Heavenly. Nice taste. Natural and so many health benefits. I ate my pop in the shop bc it was too hot to walk and eat. It's blueberry and I didn't want to make a mess. Stay inside and enjoy the charming pop art mural. The fella working there was ultra nice , patient and helpful. FYI: They sell kid sizes if you need a smaller size. Only 2 flavors available in kid sizes. Enjoy!! read more

Window shopping on Central Avenue today and this place caught my eye. What could be better than a popsicle on a sundrenched Florida afternoon! There's a big board with many MANY flavors to choose from, many unusual and exotic combinations. Everything is made there with all natural ingredients. The popsicles are frozen very hard, so you have to really bite down. We tried straight up strawberry, strawberry sangria and espresso. The strawberry was tart/sweet and textured with bits of strawberry. Excellent! The strawberry sangria was similar, but with a little extra twist from a faint taste of sangria, also less sweet. I didn't get a taste of the espresso because it was so good, our friend didn't want to share! The pops are $3.75, not cheap. Quality is great, taste is outstanding and you can't beat the sensation of a popsicle on a warm and sunny afternoon. Yes, mom, we had our ice cream BEFORE dinner. read more
This is an amazing gourmet popsicle shop. They have easily over 20 flavors ranging from classics like orange creamsicle to datil blueberry and blackberry goat cheese. Their popsicles range from $3-$5 and they even have alcoholic popsicles for 21+! I got a a dark roast espresso popsicle (each popsicle with dairy is clearly marked) covered in chocolate (extra dollar!). The woman working the shop was very nice and knowledgeable. They have so many flavors it's a bit overwhelming but you can ask as many questions about flavors you don't recognize with no judgment. The shop is pretty spacious and the person working was wearing a mask! They also had adorable fruit and popsicle themed merch like t shirts, pennants, pint glasses, keychains, pins, etc. there's also a fair amount of room in there, and they have a table for 8 as well as a few other seats. As for parking, a public parking garage is your best bet as there's no private lot and limited street parking. I would highly recommend coming in and trying a lovely popsicle! read more

I was visiting some fam in St Pete and we decided to take an evening stroll after dinner. I was busting out of my jeans...literally! Practically rolling down the street because I was so full but decided to walk in and just "check the place out." I did a double-take on the flavors...there were LOTS of good ones so I knew I had to make space for a pop in my belly. Walked out of The Hyppo and briskly walked back and forth for ten minutes before I was back in and ready to order my pop. I went with the Chocolate Peppermint because it was a seasonal flavor and I loved it! I did not know craving pops was a thing but it is. I craved a chocolate peppermint everyday in St Pete and still am. This place is a definite if you're in the area. read more
Popsicles galore ! ! ! There are tons of adult magazines out there... some very skanky and dirty... and some that are more "soft"... some that show more than expected and some where people tend to read the articles too (or so they claim)... magazines such as Screw, Swank and High Society may all be adult magazines but at the end of the day no one holds a candle to Playboy.... That is THE HYPPO in a nutshell ! * * * DECOR * * * Colorful and pleasant with childish murals on the walls to make you feel that much more comfortable... community tables and of course the ordering counter which is actually the freezers with the huge assortment of flavors. I love the use of todays style (white subway tile on the back wall with plank wood overlaid onto the freezers which beats the typical white freezers). * * * CHOICES * * * When it's time to pick a flavor, or better yet, when it's time to pick your favorite flavor combination, it's certainly a tough choice. Without exaggeration, I do believe they offer plus/minus 50 popsicle flavors; yes, that was FIFTY FLAVORS ! I'd like to think that kids with their parents would have a simple time making a decision but once I read the list of flavors I kinda think kids would have some hesitations since I really see simple choices like chocolate or vanilla since most of flavor combinations. For example, many of the fruit choices are mixed with popular herbs such like "Blueberry Cinnamon", "Honeydew Basil", Cantaloupe Black Pepper", "Pineapple Cilantro", "Watermelon Mint" and "Ginger Plum". But then again they do offer combinations that may attract kids too such as "Banana Vanana" (which is banana vanilla), "Peanut Butter Pie", "Elvis" (which I believe is peanut butter, banana and honey), "Raspberry Lemonade" and "Pina Colada" (which of course is pineapple and coconut). As for me, so far my favorites have been "Bourbon Peach" and "Mexican Hot Chocolate" And don't forget for a small additional fee you can have your popsicle covered in a chocolate shell. Personally I don't really care for it considering how flavorful most of these combinations are already; and I think the chocolate masks out the taste of the more subtle flavors. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To make a long story short... the kind of place that let's adults feel like little kids again... Kids are welcome too but I like to think this place is here for me. read more
I stopped in to grab shirts for another event and had to get a popsicle while I was here! I got Nutella and it was delicious! They had so many more that I wanted but I didn't want them to melt on the way home. I'll definitely have to go back to try other flavors! read more

This is a cute little place located in downtown St.Petersburg. They offer a wide variety of ice pops. Some of them contain dairy, others don't. I think this is a nice alternative to those who don't want ice cream for dessert. I tried the horchata and the dragon fruit. Both were very good! I will definitely be back to try more flavors. read more
