A really expensive place to get a really good popsicle. They have easily 25+ flavors and there's something for everyone. But you're gonna pay like eight bucks for a popsicle. Order: Honestly, whatever strikes your fancy. I would recommend a cream-based popsicle, maybe one of the cheesecake ones. About: $8 So here's the thing about The Hyppo pops, they are absurdly expensive. Like eight dollars for a popsicle is crazy. But equally crazy is that they're honestly worth it. It's totally a splurge purchase but once you find a few of them that you like I promise you will find yourself willing to pay $7-$8 for a popsicle. All the popsicles are premade and while they don't rotate all the flavors, they do have a rotating selection and normally they're stocked with 25+ flavors. In my opinion, the best ones are the cream-based popsicles as they're less icy and almost halfway to an ice cream bar. They will also dip them in chocolate for an additional price and while my wife loves to do this, I think the quality of the chocolate is far below the quality of the popsicle and so I often don't do it. I really miss having a hippo pops in Jacksonville and we often make our way to this one whenever we're in Saint Augustine. It's a nice treat and while I love them I probably wouldn't be able to go every day. read more

No parking lot, just paid parking only available and on a Monday afternoon we got pretty lucky to find a spot. There was definitely a wide assortment of ice pops to pick from. I had my heart set on the Champagne Mango before we made the trip out here to St. Augustine and it what was meant to be! My husband opted for The Jackfruit and we took a third one with us to try later... Mango Mojito! We both truly enjoyed! All 3 were delightfully refreshing especially on a humid day such as today. Right in the heart of downtown old St Augustine is The Hyppo. There are so many flavors to choose from and these pops are so refreshing on a hot day! A new favorite stop to swing by when we are in the area. I love that the staff have tried the product and can offer suggestions on what to get. I visited this Hyppo location for the first time after lunch and really enjoyed the experience. This location was larger than expected and had a very large selection of flavors to choose from. The sole employee was very nice and helpful and made for a comforting service experience. I chose a blackberry and goat cheese pop covered in chocolate and made a great choice. Honestly, I think I might've gone overboard by adding chocolate because it overpowered this particular pop, but it was downed quickly regardless. The pop is just so fresh and flavorful!! I came here after wandering through the oldest town in the nation. The hippo is very cute both inside and outside. There are quite a couple of seatings inside with a wide array of gourmet popsicles. Price ranges between $3-$6, and I had their pumpkin latte. The pumpkin was smooth not he outside, and inside the popsicle was the latte. It complemented so well with each other, and the flavor was very deep. I would love it if they have one in Oregon (my home state), so I can try the other flavors. We were in St. Augustine this part weekend and visited The Hyppo. I had never been there but my sister said it was great. We got their strawberry datil pepper flavor and had it dipped in chocolate. This combination was so good and refreshing. Having it dipped in chocolate just made it even better. Unfortunately with the heat of the day the chocolate started to come off but we were able to find a place to sit and rescue most of it before it disappeared completely. The Hyppo has a few locations in St. Augustine. I guess gourmet popsicle places are shamelessly trendy, like fondue and raves, but they were also darn good! The menu has many options, some more "foodie" (gag at that word) than others. I appreciated that they did have simple options as well, because my toddler just wanted chocolate. They have child size pops too, for actual children, and women who eat like toddlers. Flavors were good. Sorry for anyone with sensitivity to this reference, but they tasted like pudding pops to me. I love pudding pops! Whatever that creamy consistency is, not ice cream, but not flavored ice either, it was just totally refreshing, to be more substantial than frozen water, but not heavy like cream. Temp was like 80F the day I visited, and my son was super hot. This was perfect to cool us! Though I didn't expect to be in St. Augustine again any time soon, I was given a frequent visitor card, with a couple stamps for my order. I love when businesses offer these. It always works on me. I insist on buying more to get my freebie... like 12 items later. Well, now I have an excuse to go back to St. Augustine for an $800 popsicle!
