We had a corporate wine/beer tasting event with an upscale menu and attentive service. There were many touches of detail and it turned out to be a memorable experience and not just a meal out for our guests. Mary and the Chef went out of their way on this one. Hotel is clean and rooms spacious. However you can see through crack in the door and underneath it. Fairly loud both nights of stay until midnight. Little to no help when we inquired about waterpark passes when we inquired at the desk. Deskhelp shrugged and said it wasn't part of her job. Walked over to the building water park was in and told the reason it must not be letting us purchase online passes was because it was sold out. It was 2:00pm and day passes are only good until 4:00- 34 guests were in the pool as we could see and counted. Told also that we couldn't get from the hotel to the water park or back and forth. Made us walk through parking lot and then we found on our own later that wasn't true. Won't stay here again. read more

Recently booked a weekend here. We got the Country Christmas package. I absolutely recommend for family. Package included hotel, waterpark passes, access to Christmas lights drive thru. Pizza, garlic bread and drinks. Also, hot chocolate and cookies. There is also an arcade on site. I was really pleased with everything and have plans to come back! read more

I can appreciate having security, because I worked at a prison for 20 years. BUT your security takes it to far. First we had to buy the pass online AT the hotel with an extra $3 charge! We ordered food from DiDis and because we weren't staying at the hotel they wanted us to go outside to the front desk, we had on shorts and no shoes. They compromised and escorted us to the restaurant like criminals. Than at 8:00, we were leaving and the lifeguard said we had 5 minutes before security came to kick us out. I jokingly said to the kid, who i personally know, that I guess I have 5 minutes. Security came and asked us if we were staying at the hotel and we said no we are leaving. Another security guy came and watched us as we walked out. And than waited for us to use the bathroom and walked behind us out the door. We had my daughter's birthday here. We rented the Governor's suite and other family members rented rooms as well. The security is on it and we felt very safe the entire time we stayed here. We had ZERO problems. You can tell the hotel is very on top of this. Everything appeared nice. Then the roaches and bedbugs came out. My husband was sitting in the water park watching the kids ( they make very clear that no child can be unattended or you are kicked out without a refund- which is nice, kids are actually supervised) and a roach came out of the wall that husband was sitting by. We were told that legally they can only spray for roaches every 2 weeks when we reported this, but that they will report it to the "engineers" Now remember there were a few of us that rented rooms. The first room rented was by my daughter. They ended up transferring her to another room almost as soon as they got their stuff in the room. They apologized and were comped the next room that they were moved to. I can only speculate that room was under bed bug quarantine. My sister in laws room- when she woke up in the morning she sent me a video of bed bugs. Not cool because we all hung out with each other and probably spread the bed bugs throughout all the different rooms in the hotel. Sure hope they didn't come home with us. We reported this and we're accused of trying to get a free room. I don't mind paying my fair share. But, they have you sign so many rules when you come in there, I feel like the least they could do is tell me up front that I am going to pay almost $500 per night to have a bed bug and roach experience. read more

This review is only based on our situation last night. I am hoping the staff will take this review and make some changes based on our experience. The hotel and staff were fine. The rooms were nice and comfortable. BUT, there is supposed to be "quiet time" and this was not enforced. There was noise in the hallways at least until midnight. We were in two rooms and were so frustrated by our inability to sleep because of all the activity. We had someone actually knock on our door around 11:30 pm! I am not sure why people think it's ok to let their children run down the hallway and yell? But, I cannot blame the guests because they are not the one trying to sleep and trying to put their children to sleep. Please fix this. We love coming to visit the hotel and water park. read more

The room it self was definitely a 5 star. It looked very clean, modern, the bed was just perfect with amazing pillows. Not sure if it was because we were so beat up after being in the water park almost all day but I slept almost 12 hours non stop. We enjoyed the rest very well. The staff was very nice and friendly and accommodating, although they couldn't check us in early but it was ok since we were able to get in the water park anyway. I'm looking forward to coming here again pretty soon. read more

This was our first trip here after years of living in the area. Friendly check-in allowed us to check in early and let us use the water park. We spent nearly 7-8 hours enjoying the slides, pools and had two exhausted kids who needed to sleep; by 8-830pm we were all ready. The park shuts down at 9pm so from 9-930, the hallways were really loud with the thin walls; it happens, no big deal. At 945 our inconsiderate neighbors came barging in with two loud kids and two barking dogs with squeak toys. Cool. Nothing lulls a three year old to sleep quite like barking dogs, screaming kids and slamming doors. I called the desk at 10-1015pm and they said they would send security up and if it happened again, they would move us. Just what we want to do at 1030-11pm, pack up all our stuff and move two crabby kids across the hotel. They offered a complimentary stay and we left it at that. The dogs were at it again in the morning, so I called the desk again and we were told, "sorry," and that no security notes or complaints were documented from overnight. I walked to the front desk to checkout and they were actually on the phone with the inconsiderate neighbors and were apologizing to them! Unreal. We were again told sorry and asked if I wanted a managers card. For what? So I booked the President room. It was my kid birthday and invited her two cousins so because they were laughing at around midnight or so I heard a knock on the door twice pending. I called security because I didn't see anyone three m. When security comes the next door gentleman opens the door and says they are loud. This is a hotel and kids laugh and stay up late but did you have to pond on my door? I thought it was someone trying break in my door with my kids. He says oh they are laughing being loud! Really? I can't control who laughs he told security I want in my room! I was in my close room which I was watching tv but you have no right ponding on my door and then hiding. If I pay near $300 bucks my kid are free to laugh at a movie they were watching without being harassed or even ponding on someone door. Where there is all woman.. I told him not to pond on my door he could simply called the security speak to me if the laughing was a bothered to him! This is a hotel you go to to play at the water park. In addition to paying your room fee, be prepared to be charged an additional charge to use the water park, and the hours are extremely minimal. Whether you are one person in a room or four people in a room, it is the same price. If you want privacy or peace and quiet, you will not get it. There are large gaps around the room doors and you hear every single noise of every single person who walks by your room. I literally have not had a moment of silence since we arrived three hours ago. I mean flip-flops all the way through running children and cackling adults walking back from the bar. You will not find a closet, just a tiny armoire, only two very small drawers for the entire room to share, and a fridge (smallest possible model). Expect a very basic experience. read more

I took my daughter to the water park today. It was a great experience! Most kids were back in school so it wasn't busy at all. ALL the employees had on masks....even in the water park. The life guards were on point. They were very alert and always paying attention. My daughter even jumped in without her floatie and one of the lifeguards were on it! Our wedding was beautiful and food and service was great but around the hotel the staff and bar tenders had terrible service. After spending thousands we got hung up on and ignored by customer service. The energy was terrible I am not sure if it was because we were black but Idc what color you are if you pay for to stay anywhere the least you could ask for is great and efficient service and they did not deliver that. read more

Do not recommend this hotel water park any more. Terrible service and management. Arrived at 230pm, waited about 15 minutes to check in, told room wasn't ready yet and to check back after 4pm (understandable since website says 4pm check in). Received water park wristbands so kids could swim until we could check into our room. I returned to the lobby at 415pm to check in, line wrapped around lobby outside. I waited for 45 minutes to then be told room was still not ready but given breakfast vouchers and told room would be ready in 20 minutes. I went back to the pool, never received a text saying our room was ready. Another 45 minutes later my husband went to the lobby to cancel our reservation since now it was almost 6pm and he said the line was still outside and not moving. I decided to call the hotel number and cancelled our reservation. The front desk representative was very nice and empathetic about the situation and refunded the cost of our overnight stay ($270 for one night). We ended up leaving around 8pm and still saw people waiting in line for their rooms. Absolutely terrible management! Will not be returning. Would recommend timber ridge in Lake Geneva or a trip to the dells. read more

There were 4 issues that I experienced during my two night stay. Issue 1: a dog barked in a nearby room late into the night, and then again early in the morning. I could hear other guests yelling to strongly urge the owners to quiet the fog. In both cases the barking went on and on without any action taken by the hotel. Issue 2: though there was only one full day in which my room would have been made up, it never was. I left early to go on business meetings, and when I returned late, nothing had done. I did not put any "do not disturb" on the door, so there was no reason not to make the bed and replace towels. Issue 3: the room reeked of menthol cigarettes. This was a nonsmoking room with a sign in it saying that there would be a big fine for smoking in it. It was pungent. Issue 4: When I tried to voice my complaints to a front desk employee (Peggy), she stopped me on issue #1 and gave me her manager's card, Stacy Barton. She said that I would have to call later and talk with Stacy. This was very off putting, as an employee working the front desk at a hotel should have the ability to field guest complaints. I did call and leave a message for the manager (Stacy) two days in a row. There has been no return call. This is a very inexpensive hotel, so perhaps these issues go hand and hand with the price, but still... read more

If you plan to have a wedding reception here, BEWARE! They will charge you for a one night stay in a suite! They will not make it clear that you have a room reserved and if you go to the front desk they will not notify you of this and when you get your final bill for the reception, there will be a $160 room charge because you were a no show and didn't cancel it. read more

I went to the Ingleside for a dance camp. Great time. Cuddos to our waiters and waitresses. I would recommend the convention rooms. Rooms are you average hotel rooms. Includes and mini fridge but no microwave. They have a decent arcade for a hotel. The water park is nothing special. Kitty area, hot tub, normal pool, lily pads, a body slide (which goes outside), and two tube slides (which also go outside). They also have a market which has food and a couple things like toothbrushes and deodorant for sale. These purchases are not included in the original fee. I would recommend this place for a one night stay. read more

We really enjoyed this hotel. The reviews on other sites for this hotel are really mixed which almost scared me out of coming here, but we didn't see any of what people were saying. Our room was really clean and easy to access everything. There were plenty of lifeguards in the water park. Most were very friendly and interacting with the kids. There is an additional indoor pool for just swimming if you want some quieter water time. The arcade was clean and had a lot of games. You earn tickets to win prizes. Staff was very friendly. The water park is the perfect size for our son, 6 years old. He is a good swimmer so he can safely run off. There is nothing deeper than 4 ft. The tube slides are fun for the whole family. The restaurant on-site is pretty good, decent pizza. My only complaint with the restaurant is there is a woman that stocks the buffet and very openly uses her fingers while doing so. I watched her clear plates then restock the bacon using her fingers. This is NOT sanitary and anyone touching food should be putting on fresh gloves. There is a lot to pick at the snack shop in the water park and everything was decent. Prices weren't bad either. The bar in the water park was closed, but we were able to go to the lobby bar and get a few drinks and bring them back to the water park. We will definitely come back! read more

Will not be staying here again. It's just awful. Loud all the time. Guest doors opening and slamming all hours of the night. Kids running in the halls yelling. There was an unruly, drunk wedding guest stumbling half naked down the hallway, held up by 2 police officers escorting him back to his room in the middle of the night. During our 2 night stay I got a combined 6 hours of sleep due to the noise of other guests. This place has seriously gone down hill and gotten extremely trashy- both the accommodations and the guests. The water park was nice for the kids, but it was way too crowded. We ended up going to the completely empty indoor pool the second day to get away from the crowd. Maybe the hotel should limit access to hotel guests only and not offer day passes to the public during peak weekend hours. Next time we will be spending our money at water parks in Lake Geneva or The Dells. read more

Not to sure we'll ever bother to stay the night. I'm seeing how ghetto this place really is after being here 3 different times on ngt/daily passes. To many kid's under 12 with NO ADULT supervision in the outside hot tub. It says people can't be under the influence of alcohol to use the hot tub then why are there people in there with it right beside them? Vaping must be allowed since lifeguard's don't bother to stop people. Some lifeguard's are not wearing their masks properly over their noses and mouths. Our family had booked a wedding there. The communication was terrible from front desk staff, to our coordinator to the Managers. We were held 10 rooms for guests and were able to add more rooms after the 1st 10 were filled. The guests were told the rooms were booked when we the family called to add additional rooms we were told the original 10 rooms had not been filled yet. When we went for our food tasting the food was cold, 1 dish came out incorrectly and another choice was missing what the menu described it as. When we told the coordinator, his response was "he will let the kitchen know". It would have been nice to have been given hot food and food as described on the menu. We made many attempts to contact the hotel and various staff and we never received a response back, be it my phone or email. Very disappointed!! Even up to the day of the wedding we just hoped the Hotel could pull it all together. read more

The room itself was decent, but I think they forgot they are a water park hotel. There is nowhere in the room to hang wet suits and there are no bags for taking wet suits home. The water park itself is exactly as it was 10 or so years ago, some signs of wear but nothing awful. I saw a lifeguard in action (jumping in to pull out a child) and was quite impressed. Overall though I was left feeling like I was staying with a cheapskate. From the crazy price of games in the arcade. (most are over $2 and set so they are impossible to win) to the $2 for a 6oz cup of coffee in the lobby and a breakfast buffet that didn't include a beverage. Small, cheap towels in the room and in the water park the towels could double as sandpaper. The in room binder gives almost no information. No mention of restaurants, and the room service menu is VERY limited. The pizza was good, but if that breakfast buffet was any indication of the other food offered I'd skip it. My 4year old had fun in the water park, but we ended up with tears when it took less than 15min for him to use 60 game credits. Keep your expectations low, bring beach towels, and a wet suit bag and it's okay. Really though, it's worth the drive to the dells. read more

I was stunned at how the hotel staff was completely indifferent about the quality of our stay. In short, the people in the room next to us were loud and obnoxious all night long. We called to complain at 10 pm that they were shouting and pounding on the doors. The front desk said that while quiet hours start at 11 pm; they will do their best to ask them to quiet down. Nothing changed. They kept my kids up until 2 am. Upon check out, the person at the front desk said we needed to keep calling to complain in order for them to do anything. Not sure I understand that logic. Suffice it to say, we won't be back. There are other similar locations that we will check out instead. read more

AWFUL!!!!!!!! If no stars was an option I would have chosen that. I called six days prior to when I needed my reservation and was put on hold several times and asked if I could be given a call back from John, the night time manager. The next day I called and spoke to Peggy to secure my reservation. Peggy asked about the number of guests and then exclaimed that I would need to reserve three rooms. The reservation was for my family and another family as we were all planning to stay at the hotel and use the waterpark with all of our kids the following day. I happily agreed to the three rooms needed and asked if they could be right next to each other. Peggy seemed perplexed that I was willing to reserve three rooms and then stated "Well you know that is going to be $600 and that you have to pay that today". Once again I happily agreed and gave my card information. I shared the news of our upcoming hotel stay with our family friends that were to join us as well as my own children as something for them to look forward to. Fast forward to the morning that we are supposed to check into the hotel and I receive a call from Peggy at the hotel. Peggy is asking for my card information again and was confirming my reservation for ONE ROOM! I calmly explained that there was a mistake as I had reserved THREE rooms and I reminded Peggy that she was the one that I spoke with to make the reservation. Peggy's response was "Well we only have you down for one room and we are booked so I don't know what to tell you". I asked to speak to a manager. Lindsay was that manager that spoke to me. She never once apologized or even really acknowledged the terrible customer service experience that I was now having after finding out the day of that my family and another family would not be staying at the hotel after planning for this. Lindsay offered to change the dates of the reservation which was not going to work as it was difficult to get the originally planned time off with two different families. The next option was to get a discount on waterpark passes for the following day. I explained that I needed to discuss this option with the other family that was joining. I called Lindsay back and agreed to the discounted waterpark passes. Lindsay acted as though she was doing me a big favor and refused to allow me to come ahead of time to purchase them. Part of the reason that I booked the hotel rooms was to be able to get to the waterpark when it opened and secure tables as my family and the family joining us has small kids that we wanted to keep a close eye on and have a space for them to rest and eat at. I explained all of this politely and Lindsay made clear in her tone and message that she did not care and viewed this entire interaction as though she was doing me a favor. Later that evening I called to find out where exactly I needed to go to purchase the waterpark passes and I spoke to John, the night manager again. He stated that I needed to purchase them at the hotel front desk. The next morning I arrived at 8:35 am to purchase my passes at the hotel front desk. I was "greeted" in a less than welcoming fashion by an older woman working the front desk. I began asking about purchasing the passes and she interrupted our exchange three different times to help other people calling on the phone. I understand that many businesses are working short handed so I stood there patiently. After the final phone call the older woman told me that I was not able to purchase passes anywhere but the arcade and stated " You are LUCKY Lindsay is even letting you buy passes because we are sold out for today and also that I must not have listened because Lindsay told me not to come until 9 o'clock". To which I replied "I wouldn't have needed to buy these passes if my reservation had been made properly". The older woman then took out a map and began explaining to me where the arcade was in a manned that conveyed I must not have passed the first grade. Frustrated and offended I still said thank you and calmly walked away. I went over to the building that housed the arcade and waterpark and waited outside at the front doors. The staff inside opened up a few minutes before 9:00 am and I made my way to the arcade. Once again I had to explain the entire situation. The teenaged staff in the arcade called Lindsay to once again confirm that I was allowed to purchase the passes. The staff in the arcade was having difficulty figuring out how to ring up my passes. Lindsay never once came to help troubleshoot the purchase process or apologize. I could add even more but I think it is clear that THE INGELSIDE HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! read more

just returned from a one night stay at this hotel/waterpark. An all round clean hotel. Hotel room spacious, modern and very large bathroom. Great food choices in the restaurant and bars . We noticed about 3pm on the Saturday that the waterpark was severely overcrowded, this hotel also sells day passes to the public with no limits so for the owner it's 'let's make as much money as possible '. There was also chaos on some floors overnight from parties to running in hallways , let's just say security were busy right up until 5am not much sleep for anyone . Both of these instances posed a major safety concern . If there was any type of emergency situation yesterday/during the night there would have been casualties and multiple issues . For that reason I would think twice before staying here again, Safety is everyone's responsibility including the owners. read more

I understand when businesses change ownership but the rooms are much more pricy than before with less amenities.

My parents purchased a $200 gift card at Christmas so my sister could take her kids to the hotel for a weekend and use the water park. We used the gift card this weekend and upon arriving I asked the receptionist helping me check in if it was possible to use the bonus cards my parents received for how much they spent on the gift cards (there was only an additional $13 left unpaid after the gift card). The receptionist was very nice and said that they had been able to still apply the bonus gift cards that had expired about a month earlier. Before they could swipe a receptionist who was initially on the phone when I arrived came over to say they actually could not apply the card because it was expired. I think you might want to re-evaluate your strategy and consider this...what would have been a $13 hit made up by purchases on site turned into a $100+ hit. I was honestly so bothered by this other receptionist going out of her way to make sure we couldn't use the bonus card that I refused to spend another penny at your hotel. We ate three meals during our stay, and we left for every single one and took our business elsewhere. Point Burger Bar, Machine Shed, and Jimmy Johns thank you for your business. read more
