The chapel, which was used for a cocktail hour the night before, is clean & appears to be recently built or recently renovated. It's a romantic setting. Just before the reception began while pictures were being taken, guests were able to chit chat at tall tables on a patio-like setting with an outdoor 'hut' bar. Very charming! The views were incredible for fall foliage. I cannot speak to what it costs to have a wedding here, but it was clean & organized. They offer a package with an open bar with a limited selection. All of the staff was friendly, including the bartenders & the ones passing hors d'oeuvres. I'd suggest this location for a barn wedding, but be mindful of the parking & the traffic that goes by. We could hear cars go by during the ceremony but that's out of the venue's control.

When people say 'looks can be deceiving' this is what they are talking about. I had booked a…read morerafting trip for my friends bachelorette party and were looking for something that could accommodate all 6 of us. My first interaction was via the phone and the owner was very curt. First I wanted to book one night, but she stated "We can do that, but we usually don't." Not wanting to cause difficulties, I contacted the other girls and we all agreed to stay for 2 nights but wouldn't be able to get there until late. Originally we thought we would get there around 8 because the owner said she "goes to bed early." Unfortunately there is no service and we ended up leaving later than expected and didn't get there til 10:30 pm. The sign is not lit up and is very difficult to navigate after the sun goes down. We ended up going down the wrong driveway into her house/ office one- causing her to wake up. She asked us to come sign-in and then directed us to our cabin. The cabin had 2 full size beds and 2 fold-up cots. One cot had multiple stains- dark brown which looked like blood, but who knows (we did not even use this one). We were told to bring our own pillows, blankets and towels- there were some blankets and pillows there but I didn't even want to touch them. There were multiple screens that were broken, letting bugs in when the windows were open. The water smelled of eggs and it was difficult to even shower as the smell was making us gag. The website stated that there was a gas grill and firewood- this was not true. There was no grill and the 2 huge piles of fire were "not for sale, they are for heating the owners house." We had to drive over 20 minutes to Errol, NH to buy firewood. The second night we were there we had a fire in the wood stove, drinking and having a good time- we may have been a little loud but we were not out of control. A guy (not sure exactly what he was- the owners boyfriend, a friend or relative) came storming up to us shouting and cursing- stating that we are being too loud, that we were going to be kicked out and that he was going to call the police. We told him we were sorry and it wouldn't happen again, but his unnecessary behavior went on for 10 minutes. It wasn't until the owner, who was there throughout this guy's meltdown, grabbed his arm and made him leave. We ended up checking out an hour early- having removed all trash, cleaned and put everything back the way it was. These people were so unprofessional as we left he flipped us off. We will not be returning and I would not recommend this place to anyone. We also were only supplied with 2 rolls of toilet paper and ran out within 24 hours.

He took care of setup and service without any issues even though we were at a campsite with no electricity or running water. And then there was the food...amazing. The shrimp skewers were some of the best I've ever had. Chef used sugar cane skewers which added a hint of sweetness to each bite. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly as well. All the sides from the salad to the coleslaw were fantastic. Chef thanked my wife and I and had everything cleaned up within minutes. He even left us all the uneaten food on a table. He helped make a terrific day even better. If you ever need food for an event definitely call Chef Lloyd. Amazing job.

We've stayed in a few different "ski getaway" places over the years and have always been disappointed with the beds. Not here - so comfortable!! Our private bathroom had all of the amenities and plenty of space. Our room also had a mini-fridge, tons of pillows and blankets, and a walk-in closet - what more could you need? Breakfast was buffet-style out of the kitchen and could be eaten alone or surrounded by fellow travelers. We didn't get a chance to try out the pool or the hot tubs but the pool area is large and inviting - complete with comfy chairs, a fire pit, and a grill. The owners are so welcoming and friendly - it felt more like we were visiting friends than anything else. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish and we will definitely return.
