Our family is continuing our tour of the area pizza places, and last week was Buckeye at the Lake. I'd never been before, and we didn't dine in, so I can't speak to what that experience is like other than what I saw. Called in the order, and when I arrived, it was busy (Thursday night). The kitchen seemed a bit chaotic as I waited for our order. The pizzas were done, almost, on time, but our order of garlic bread I kept being told would be a few more minutes... and then a few more minutes... and then a few more minutes. I'm not sure if it was missed from the order, or given to another table or what, but I was close to asking them to just forget about the garlic bread. Anyway, our 25-30 minutes turned into nearly 50 minutes once the whole order was ready to go. That being said... the pizza was delightful! The sauce is delicious, the crust was perfect, and the toppings were awesome. The inside of the establishment looking casual and fun as well, nice bar area, and a patio. I definitely want to come back and try this place again and dine-in. My word of warning is that maybe don't be on a time-crunch or have somewhere you have to be right away. Maybe my experience was a fluke, but if not, good food - just might be a few minutes longer of a lunch/dinner than you anticipate. Overall, great pizza! read more

Ordered a large meat pizza on the app said would be ready at 5:36 got there and it was ready and hot. But hears where it goes down hill. Pizza had very little meat on it( alot of bacon pieces) but it had enough cheese on it to bounce outside the box little to no sauce. This was by far the worst pizza I have ever had and it had been a long time for us to give them another try . Everytime we Ordered to pick up our pizza was A never even made so had to wait 30 minutes for that and it wasn't right .The last time ( before this time) Told me I hadn't ordered one but there computer shows i paid for one i ask why I would pay for a pizza i didn't order the young lady said she didn't know and left it had to ask to speak to someone in charge this took another 30 minutes then the fill in manager said she would have my pizza in 20 to 25 minutes to wait in my car and come back in that time I ask for my money back she told me she couldn't give me my back because I hadn't ordered one. Good food but they never answer the phone and they close the kitchen apparently an hr before they close.

Was my Favorite place for pizza, toppings were great and plentiful. The crust was seasoned and delicious. Not anymore, they cut back on all of it and now roll the crust paper thin. I asked them about it and they couldn't care less, even told me they had no complaints that day. Good bye!!! read more

Buckeye At The Lake - Not going to work for me at $23.00 - Burgers Near Me - Lakeview, Ohio

Our first visit to Buckeyes at the Lake was such a disappointment that we walked out. When we arrived that day, we were told they didn't have running water, and when we were seated, we were given burnt popcorn. That was enough for us to leave, and we had no intention of going back. After some time, I finally convinced my husband to give them another chance, hoping maybe our first experience was just an off day. Unfortunately, our second visit was even worse. The restaurant had some customers, but for a Friday night it was surprisingly quiet -- which, after our experience, we can understand. Service was slow from the start. Our server, Hailee, greeted us with little enthusiasm and never checked back after taking our order. The food took far too long to arrive, and when it finally did, the quality was disappointing. My husband ordered a grilled chicken salad for $11.99, but the portion was surprisingly small compared to my Italian salad, which was more than double the size for only $9.99. The inconsistency in portions was frustrating. We also ordered breadsticks, which turned out to be hoagie buns served with marinara sauce. The presentation was unappealing, and the marinara itself had an unpleasant taste. Throughout the meal, our server never returned to check on drinks or ask if the food was okay. We had to track down another server just to get refills. When Hailee finally brought them, she slammed the glasses onto the table -- which was unprofessional and came across as rude. We asked three separate times to speak with a manager, and it took quite a while before one finally came over. When the manager arrived, her attitude was just as disappointing as the service. She didn't seem to care about the issues we raised, responded dismissively with, "Well, that's how it comes," and offered no solutions. She didn't apologize, didn't offer to replace the chicken salad, and didn't make any effort to address the problems. Between the poor service, underwhelming food, dismissive management, and lack of customer care, this experience confirmed why we were hesitant to come back in the first place. We gave this restaurant two chances, and both times were a letdown. We will not be returning. read more

Decent food very typical American Midwest stuff (burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and salads). Friendly staff and a nice open atmosphere. I got a personal cheese pizza that was well made. Thin and crispy how they should be! The staff was friendly and the beers were cold. Give it a try! read more

A new place in Indian Lake - the food was great. Wings were a tad small but had good flavor. The cheese curds were wonderful, cheesy bread - can't go wrong. Now, the pizza. It is thin crust and held up very well with all the toppings. Service was good - hubs had a Kona(?) beer and he loved it. A bar with a good environment for all, including families. Outdoor seating also. We will be back I'm sure :) read more

Worst food I have ever eaten. Three of us ordered food and the food was a joke. Nothing like what was described. Nothing is fresh and I feel bad for the servers. I hope their other locations are better. It was overpriced for the garbage they serve. Do yourself a favor and just go to Woody's on the lake to eat. read more

I like the pizza. The crust is always crispy. I also like the chili cheese fries. That's my go to.

Visited on 7/22 in the afternoon. Was seated quickly. Staff was friendly. We ordered pizza subs and wings. The pizza was pretty good but pricey. The wings were on the small side. Sub was good. Was told the fountains were not ready and they had only canned pops. We ordered a few cans and some waters. They brought cans out but also bottles of Dasani water even though fountain water and cups were available. Bill came and we were charged fountain prices for the cans and bottles of water. So we couldn't get refills but we're charged full price. That was a little disappointing, especially for the Dasani water switcheroo. Backside of the restaurant has some games and stuff but it looks not quite finished and bit messy as well as it looks like a storage area for pizza boxes. Decent place but a little pricey. read more

Their pizzas are amazing and really yummy, the downside is the timing. 30-45 minutes after the quoted pick up time killed what would've been a higher rating. Kids that work there are nice and apologetic with the delays. Not their fault. read more

Have given Buckeye a few tries since they have been open. The wings are decent but smaller than you find at other places nearby. The pizza is certainly above average and they don't skimp on toppings. 4 stars because I can't give 3.5 on the service. I have understood the dynamic yet of why bartenders aren't always behind the bar when they have plenty of wait staff around. To be fair I prefer bar seating because I don't like my glass to be empty. All and all.. I will certainly continue to support them as they work out the kinks. read more

Wow, the food here is super good, fresh and plentiful! We had subs, wings, fried mushrooms and fried cheese sticks. Everything was hot when delivered to our table and the wings were awesome sauce covered and amazing taste. Size of wings was not a problem - grandson ordered all flappers but meat content and sauce cooked in was plentiful. Definitely will be back here again soon! read more

The atmosphere was good. Food was above average for Indian Lake. I know they are just getting their feet wet. We were a party of 5 and ordered at the same time. The food trickled out a little at a time. Everyone was friendly. My Ruthys Way was not right. It had mushrooms on it even though they aren't even included on the menu but, only been open for 9 days. Loved the fries. Nice and thick and held their heat well. I will be back to try again. read more

Told it was going to be a 45 minute wait, an hour and a half later we still had no food yet my husband watched 30 people come in for carryout (at some point, maybe stop picking up the phone???) craziest part, the hadn't even put our food in yet LOL felt awful for our poor server, why put your staff in that position. Would avoid at all cost. over 2 hours for food order. Got most of the order wrong. didn't have 3 things on the menu and didn't disclose that until order pickup. Feels like manager hasn't managed a place of business before. struggle to keep up during dinner rush. won't last long. read more

One seems a generous rating. we camp alot at the state park and couldn't wait to go to the new resturant. First of all my husband ordered wings and for $13.00 they were an absolute joke. For 6 wings he got less than an ounce of meat. I am very honest in saying they looked like Cornish game hen wings. When we complained it was told to us that the wings are what they get from the supplier. We asked for the manager and she said the same thing and offered a ten percent discount which was an insult. The other issue is the menu on the web site is not the menu in the resturant. NO Burgers, no Rheubens, etc. Very unhappy with the service. We won't be visiting again. read more

The crust was great but the pizza had little to no sauce. Also and more importantly, and this is coming from a cheese lover, the pizza had too much cheese. It was an unfortunate waste of money, six pcs of a large eaten and the rest in the garbage. I would give other items on their menu a try. read more

Food is great - both subs and pizza. Service is good. Too loud for me to enjoy any conversation with the people I was with.

The pizza has been the best I've tried around Indian lake if you like thin crust but a lot of cheese and topping you should love this pizza. The inside is very nice and spacious. I have not sat out on the patio yet. The only bad thing is the wait time for carry out orders. Both times we've tried it, it was a 55-60 minutes wait. Which is exactly about how long it takes. They are a new business so maybe pickup orders in the future won't take so long. We do plan ahead when we order from there just so it's ready when we are. Service is horrible. Had to wait 3 hrs for a pizza. Pizza was good once out. But 3hrs for pizza is ridiculous. Would not recommend.

I loved the pizza! Really loved it! My husband rated it a 7 out if 10, so we all have our individual tastes. The crust was thin and crispy, had the right amount of sauce and cheese, and toppings were plentiful (my husband thought too much). Each piece of sausage was about the size of a grape so it was very hearty. read more
