Best wings in the tri-town area. I only go there for the wings (Thursday is the wing special)! Its definitely a biker bar with mostly locals. PSA. Went to Desperados Bar & Grill today for what was supposed to be a nice, finally warm day, lunch. After waiting over 10 minutes to place our drink order, it was another 10 before they were delivered. Another 10 or 15 before she came to take our order. We were thinking, at this point, this was probably not going to end well. After being told we could not order our burgers well done ("WE DON'T TAKE SPECIAL ORDERS WE DON'T DO THAT HERE, THEY ARE ALL WELL DONE!!!"), our hamburgers were delivered 30 minutes later, raw. In the words of Gordon Ramsey, IT'S RAW! Traig has a medium steak delivered, raw. It was PURPLE. Ewwww The server seemed SO put out when he returned it and asked for it to be cooked. So they put his steak back on the grill. Next to other steaks. The same steak he just took bites from. Is that a health violation? I dunno but it's WRONG. Our server clearly had her dog die that morning because she was literally the most miserable human being on earth today. Literally. Miserable. She may have spit in our food, she hated serving us that badly. Then she switched credit cards and gave us someone else's card and bill. That was a charging/voiding/recharging debacle to put the cherry on top of our day. You've forever lost our business. read more

Desperados is a biker bar. It has literally about a hundred around the parking lot. Probably not a good place for kids, so do not bring them. It opens up for breakfast. They are never in a hurry so prepare to wait. It is the best bar in the Huntsville area. It's bigger than it looks. They have the main room. It features the bar and several tables filled with bikers and locals. There's another room in the back used for parties. It's through the doors marked bathroom. The bathrooms are actually to the right immediately through these doors, if you need to go there. Another feature is the patio you can get to from the parking lot. Many times it gets crowded inside, so this is another option. It's usually filled with bikers. They can't smoke inside so this is where they all come. I had a vodka and ginger ale. This is about $3 so not bad. It has a small menu. It's beer selection is not impressive, so it's better to get liquor. They are popular for breakfast on Sundays. read more

Traveling through town, we had to stop to give our 2 year old a diaper change and feed our grumbling tummies. On the outside looking in, this place just looks like a fun dive bar but there is actually an outside covered eating area in the back with a jutebox and all! You do have yo walk through the bar area (so we could only find) but that wasnt a big deal to us. We honestly thought we'd get mediocre food since the place isnt fancy smancy but yall--- this burger was legit, to die for. My husband and I split one because had to get it to-go so we could keep traveling (and our 2 year old is too feral for restaurants right now) but that didnt hinder the taste at all! We got my daughter the mac and cheese bites, but she refused to eat them and in turn decided to cry about life in general, so we ate them and they were ALSO delicious! This is a business that goes out of their way to provide good service and great food. They like many people are struggling to find help but the folks that are there bust their tails for the customers. I like the fact that the owners are honest as to why prices are going up and what they're trying to do to help the customers it's a place we should frequent more and I hope others will. read more

First time there. My husband ordered a New York strip steak it came out within 5 min and was ok for the price of $22. I ordered boneless chicken wings. The waitress told me they were not breaded but they were and we waited over 45 min for the wings with no update or explanation. aEnded up taking them to go but I could not eat due to the breading. Awful service. Second time we tried to pick up a carryout order and was completely ignored to the point my husband walked out. One employee looked at him then looked at her phone. He then went to talk to her and she just walked to the other side of the bar and hung out. The other 3 just flat out paid no attention. They were not serving anyone, just flat out on ignore. The patrons paid more attention. Place smelled like weed, so maybe that was the issue. The feeling is if you aren't a known local or bellied up to the bar, the service sucks. This little bar just outside of Huntsville is a cool little joint.we were up here this past saturday to see a good band. have been here a few times as its a pits stop on poker runs or just crusinin up to Indian Lake to hang out and party. These guys cook a great steak up here , you will be really happy with it. staff is cool and cheerful. We love Desperado's! It's a MUST stop every time we are in the area. Heck, we drove 1 1/2 hours here one evening just for their wonderful hand cut, hand breaded tenderloin sandwich! It's amazing! This past Sunday, when staying in the area, I ordered carry-out on their steak dinner special. 16 oz rib eye, salad, baked potato and roll for $16.99. Omgosh, the steak was PERFECTLY cooked and delicious! Ordinary salad, roll and the potato was past it's fluffy prime (order during the last hour of the special. .. Next time I'll order earlier. ) All in all, the steak made it all worth it! DELICIOUS! We will be back many more times! We decided the next time, one of us will get the tenderloin and the other one will get the cheeseburger, which looks amazing! read more

We arrived at 0910, takes a little while to snag a waitress, there's only 2 for a Sunday but they're friendly. Be ready to order when you get one! We waited 45 to 50 minutes for food, but it was really solid! My omlet was the 3 way omlet w ham,peppers and mushrooms w rye toast. Hubby had combo 1 w bacon and white toast, eggs over easy. Bacon was a nice thicker cut, eggs were actually over easy as ordered. Coffee was a good blend, not too strong, not too weak. Our side of sausage gravy w biscuit was very tasty. Ordered a burger and fries. The waitress was good, fast, and friendly. The food was really good. The atmosphere was a tad bit loud because of a bachelorette- bachelor party happening. Awful management. Went on a Wednesday night. Waited over an hour for food. There were six of us. The table behind us got their food about a half hour before us. There were only two of them but still. About 45 minutes in I said something to the server. No apology or anything. I could tell she said something to the manager. He never came. We got our food, and it was good, so I give two stars. The server brought our check, nothing was adjusted. She asked if we wanted to see the manager and I gave her my credit card and said do what you think is right. The manager came over, and he did apologize with an attitude. Said that was the only thing he would do. They were short staffed, hiring, etc. I explained the crowd was light when we ordered. He couldn't care less. I tipped 20%. I really don't understand why some people are in the service industry. read more

Desperados is half hole in the wall, half biker bar. The inside is on the small side, but houses a couple high-top tables and a long bar. I didn't venture out to the outdoor patio but from what I could see from the parking lot, it is quite big. Sunday steak special is incredible! From 1-7 on Sundays Desperado's has a 16 oz steak with small salad, potato and dinner roll for $16.00. It is without a doubt one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Do your best to try to save room for a stop at the equally awesome (but pricey) Town Trolley for ice cream for dessert!! read more

Heard good things about this place. Went to try it out for wings and pizza. Waiter came ordered a beer and said he would be back. 15 minuets after I finished my beer he took the order. He brought another beer with the boneless wings and a pizza, that was the special. Wings were crusted and hard, pizza average at best. After eating he never came back to the table. Motioned to another waiter for service, she was talking to another table and blew us off. They obviously was regulars since she talked to them for 30 minuets. Since moving to the area when have been eating here from time to time. Today we came to watch the Ohio State game. Our server Yvonne had our drinks within five minutes of being seated. Our food was there ten minutes later. I was FRESH and HOT, like it should be. The place was busy, but the service was great. I have never had bad service or food at this place.
