We've started coming here again on the regular, after a long hiatus. The food is between very good and excellent, and the service has been excellent. It was build your own burger night & the patties were dried out, freezer burned, overcooked hockey pucks with absolutely no seasoning. I actually thought my "lettuce bun" burger tasted a little fishy! Our waitress Dazlyn was inattentive & one of the worse waitresses we've ever had! We've passed this place many time an and have never been over 5 years. It always looks lovely but just haven't stopped in. It appears there are two sides. The inside area and the bar high top area. There are lots of TV's and you can't have and view inside of this place. We were given seats quickly and taken to a booth. Service was nice. The food was good. What I ordered is what I expected. We ordered the to go order of corned beef and cabbage. Literally no corned beef to be found and just a flavorless pile of cabbage mush. The stew was just broth with a small amount of carrots and potatoes. We winded up just throwing both away and ordering fast food since we were hungry. When we contacted the business they told us there was corned beef in it just not huge slices and mixed throughout, so I didnt appreciate the gaslighting either. read more

I am so sad right now because the former Irish Exchange used to be so good and always had consistent high quality food. Unfortunately, we probably will not be returning because our experience on 12/18/24. The service was great but the food was horrible, in addition the ambiance was an absolute zero! I bring up the ambiance because the lights were as bright as they could go and I felt like we were in a cafeteria. Just dim the lights unless the new vibe is cheap cafeteria. Now the food, we ordered fish & chips and baked cod with a baked potato. The french fries were stone cold and the fish was soggy with grease because the batter was so heavy. The baked cod was dry and over cooked and the baked potato must have been left over from the day before (way over baked and dry all the way through. I can't imaging letting either plate get out of the kitchen and to a customer. So sad that this long standing Massillon staple has fallen so far in quality. I hope someone from the restaurant reads this and steps up to fix it. I wish the owner success but it will take some work. read more

I got the BUOB burger. It was so greasy the bun fell apart. The patty had no flavor and was dry. The service is so so.

Typical bar but the food was pretty great. Of course being a bar it was a bit noisy, so you wouldn't be going here for an intimate dinner. Many families were dining there as it was really family friendly. Our waitress was very nice and gave us great suggestions of what to order. She recommended the chicken as it's their own recipe and steamed. That was not a let down for the fried chicken! My husband and I have been going to this restaurant consistently for a few years and it never disappoints! EVERYTHING we have tried has become a new favorite! They always have a "special" sheet with unique entrees- like a "Rueben Burger" - think burger with a Rueben on a bun. Their Salmon is excellent, their subs, their pasta - I could rattle on. My husband will go there for the fries alone - fresh cuts with a unique seasoning that will make you come again and again just for them. My fiance and I got dinner to go, I ordered the coney and fries, he ordered the Philly cheese steak sub and fries, and we shared the fried pickles. My coney came in a piece of fried bread (not a bun) that tasted so overly fried that I couldn't finish it. The coney sauce was bland. The fried pickles were huge and lacked flavor or freshness. The fries were soggy and bland, we had to put them in the air fryer to crisp them up. My fiances' philly cheese steak sub was really soggy and falling apart, but he said it tasted "ok". Irish Pub& Grill Restaurant had some good things going for it and some no so good. The good: the place is popular especially on Saturday evening and I hear on Saint Patrick's Day! The food is good as to what we had! My drink was good and tasty. The cod fish was good and seasoned just right my fried potatoes with cheese on top was good too! (See Rhonda T review)! Wife especially was glad to see free popcorn being popped at the front door! We ordered two types of wings for a later snack at home! One was okay that had garlic on them! The other was very good with Irish Dust as a rub! Yummy! The not so good: the place is built for EXTREME NOISE! We could not hear our own conversation. We needed the sign language class that was cancelled! Only a few TVs can be viewed from our table! Most hidden behind those seated at the bar! While our table meals were delivered slow but reasonably considering the packed crowd! However, the take home wings took an extreme amount of time! We might try an afternoon noontime or an very early evening to see if the negative issue would be improved! Staff was friendly and check at our table often! A manager also stop at our table to see if everything was good! The restaurant does have raised booths and on floor level standard table and chairs! How have I not written a review of this place yet??!! Me and my husband absolutely love coming here. And we are heart broken we have recently moved away! When I first came here I was expecting typical bar food, and nothing special. Someone I worked with told me that I needed to check it out and she knew one of the cooks there. She sold me by telling me he worked at jerzees before and they used a similar sauerkraut ball recipe yummy. My husband actually says they are his favorite sauerkraut balls now. After my first visit, I still wasn't sure what to think. But, the second I decided to try their weekly specials and THAT is what makes them special. I've had a couple meals there I would say was on par with gervasi! Absolutely yummy risotto. They know how to make a good steak too. And my personal favorite-which I wish was on the every day menu-the boom boom shrimp tacos. An absolute must try! I also really love their bbq flatbread Service has always been great, one server in particular really likes seeing us (sorry I don't remember her name but she's super chatty!). They have some pretty awesome bar drinks as well. Definitely try it! You won't regret it. read more

Deciding to visit here at 5:30 on a Saturday evening may not have been the best idea we've ever had. Although, the hostess was quite nice and seated us at a table for 6 because I asked for a table, not a booth and all smaller tables(except high-tops) were taken. I even mentioned that I was sorry to take such a large table, but she said, it's ok we aren't busy. (No line waiting, but they were busy). After getting my tray of free popcorn, yummy! I ordered tea, hubby had a special beer,but we both ordered the broiled cod dinner. I had a baked potato and asparagus with it. Hubby had coleslaw and cheesy home fries. The cod was nicely spiced and cooked perfectly. Hubby was looking for tartar sauce but after he tasted it, he decided he didn't need it. My sides were wonderful. We even decided to take a small order of two different flavors of wings home with us. We snacked on them later. Not the largest wings I've ever had but both garlic Parmesan and Leprechaun Dust were quite tasty. I would like to return at a less busy time because the noise level was so high. Food was great but too noisy for us. With 17 TVs and some very boisterous men talking over several tables, my hubby and I couldn't even talk to each other. read more

I'm the very last person to ever complain about food at a restaurant, but I came in with a couple friends for their 59 cent wing night, apparently their website was out of date because they were actually 79 cents. I ordered 15 wings and when they came out I honestly thought it was a prank, a couple of the wings were as small as a quarter and they were still counted as wings. After eating all 15 wings in less than 5 minutes I was still very hungry, a couple of the wings were even clearly cut in half, not sure if the cook was eating them or they were running out of wings and gave the other half to my friend. This restaurant used to be great but lately stuff like this has ruined it, saving 2-3$ and losing multiple customers in the process. I wouldn't have even paid 50cents per wing if you can even call them that, we were laughing at the size of the wings and my 150lb buddy that ordered 10 wings and pretzel rods still had to order a flatbread pizza to be filled up. Save your money and go to a place like Old Timers, this experience made BW3 look like a bargain compared to this. read more

The Pub is a nice alternative to all the other limited selections Massillon has to offer. Met a friend there tonight for a catch-up dinner and drinks. She opted for the pork chop, it looked very good. I had the fish and chips and it was plain nasty. The frying grease was obviously old as the fish and the fries were a dark almost brown color. Wanting to try a different fare in Massillon we headed over to The Irish Pub. Next time we'll stick to our usual haunts. The pub is typical in its decor, lots of dark wood, lots of "Irish" stuff on the walls. We got there at about 6 p.m. and it was farely empty. Staff was polite but not hospitable. We were never told the specials or if there were any happy hour offers. We saw popcorn by the door in old fashioned machine but could never flag down the waiter to see if it was free or what. The menu is pretty limited - burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc. The food was the one element that got this place two stars. It was all better than decent. My burger was LARGE and the fries were plentiful. But I asked for medium and got well-done and it didn't come with any condiments or vegetables (onions, pickles, tomatoes, etc). But since it took almost 20 minutes to get our meals to begin with I was just going to eat it. My friend had a corned-beef sandwich, she said it was good. Our waiter rarely checked on us to see if we needed anything. Never even asked if we wanted dessert. Might have gotten some if they asked. The experience was just not fun. Maybe if you went with your own fun and large group it would be better, just don't be in a hurry. read more

This is a great little pub! It's not very "Irish", but it still tastes great! 8 different beers on tap and a fully stocked bar. Their wings were fantastic. One of the best parts is that they have a popcorn machine at the entrance with popcorn salt and butter to put on your popcorn and it's free. So you can get up and get as much popcorn as your heart desires. Best bar snacks ever! There are also a decent amount of TVs surrounding the restaurant, so it's a great place to go watch sports games. The servers were also very friendly! read more

First time visit. I can confidently state that there was nothing good to eat in this place. We started with the flatbread pepperoni pizza. It came out with a cold center. It actually tasted like it was DiGiornos, only worse. I then ordered the Reuben because the waitress said it was the best in the area. Well if you think the area is a 30 foot radius around the Irish pub and the only other place is a Chinese restaurant then I would say it's the best in the area, otherwise it was horrible. My wife had the Mediterranean chicken wrap. It too was horrible. The place is a dirty dump starting with the cigarette buds and scratch off lotto tickets littering the ground at the entrance I give this dump a rating of three Yucks! read more

The Irish is pretty consistent with its food and service. Not exceptional but certainly never a disappointment. I no longer live in town, but try to make the Irish a regular stop when I visit. Tonight my wife and I both ordered the Cajun burger with fries, and we each had a beer. Beer prices are very reasonable, and getting there early scored us happy hour pricing of .$50 off all beer. $3 for a pint of fat tire is great. The Cajun burger has changed over the years. Fifteen years ago, eating a Cajun burger was an event; fresh slices of hot Hungarian peppers made the heat level dependent on the year's crop. Today, the heat comes from pepper jack cheese and canned peppers. Still good but a far cry from it's past. I ordered mine "Loch Ness" style , which simply means 3/4 pound instead of half. The burger was cooked to order at medium and everything tasted fine. The disappointment was with the bun; very basic sesame seed bun like something you would expect at Burger King. There are also no other options for buns, so what you see is what you get. All in all, the Irish is a solid local spot with good food at reasonable prices. Although it isn't a standout, it's a great option if you don't want to venture to the Belden area. Burgers are good for the area, average for other spots like Michigan, who for some reason has the most amazing burgers anywhere...and that's from a buckeyes fan. read more

Decent neighborhood pub. Seat yourself policy on Saturday afternoon allowed us position ourselves to see the game we wanted. Spinach and artichoke dip was good but a bit thin, and the potato skins were standard. The waitstaff didn't seem to know how to make the fall drinks on special (they brought one Salty Irishman and then took it away to "fix it") but every drink we ordered was strong! I wondered why on a Thursday night not one person was in there @ like 7p'ish, except at the bar, like 3 people. Didn't take long to figure out. Easy order: 2 drinks, non-alcoholic, 2 cheeseburgers, 2 fries. Good: burgers, waitress was so nice & accommodating!! Bad: waitress started out with a small list of items on the menu that were NOT available; drinks were not right, iced tea & coke/Pepsi, ice tea had NO taste at all, brown water; fries were brown & burnt; soggy, wet bun bottom on both burgers; one waitress visible at any time (the nice one); group of 2-3 what appeared like employees, ladies, in their coats, like ready to leave, standing around talking the enitre time; another customer came in & lady in the coat had to get their drink order after the customer said something b/c the only waitress working was busy in the back (3 tables with people at this point). Bartender having a very loud conversation with 1 remaining bar patron for the entire restaurant to hear. Can't forget, a 7-8 year old child was set up in a booth next to the bar . He was there for the duration, had a bunch of activities set up on the table, had his own pillow & everything, sleeping in the booth by the time we left. The last thing: $4 total for bad drinks & $9 each for burnt fries... Needless to say, we had not been there in a while & won't be back any time soon, if ever. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. I had the beef Philly sub which was very good, seasoned perfectly. The boyfriend had the bison burger what she said was very good. However he said he could not eat the fries they just didn't taste very good. We also had an appetizer of the potato skins which were very good as well. They also had a Greek feta salad dressing that was delicious. The only thing I really didn't like about the Irish pub was that if you look at the decorations on the walls they are covered in dust . Great experience. Don't get to this part of town often, and hadn't been here since it was the Irish Exchange (yes, that long), but we had a great meal and an incredible server. I had the half rack rib special with a Crown Royal glaze; the meat fell off the bone and the glaze was amazing. Among the other food our party consumed, the French onion soup, garlic Parmesan wings and fresh cut fries were outstanding. Other than tight quarters in our booth (we picked it; should have went with a table) it was a pleasant surprise and we will be back. No drinks except water at this meal, and our bill for our party of four, including one appetizer, was just over $50. This place has gone to heck since the new owners took over. It's a shame my favorite wings are now spicy rubber. Really poor attention to the customer by the new owners. I had a Friend go there he and his wife ordered their drinks then sat for over an hour with no one checking on them or trying to take there order. So they called someone to express there unhappiness and chose to leave the owner cane to the table and handed them a bill for 1 beer and 1 glass of wine with no apology. Sad,sad!!! read more

Seriously AWESOME French onion soup! Easily one of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend had a reuben with fish and enjoyed it. The chips were overcooked, and tasted burnt, though. We got breaded cauliflower which was ok. Would come back for the soup alone. read more
