Mulligan's was a staple for my family in my childhood because it was a favorite of my grandmother. She especially loved the prime rib. It's probably not surprising that when my uncle was in town, he suggested coming here for a family dinner. Walking in was like time traveling. The interior looks the same - hardwood everything with brass finishes. Our server was wonderful. She was patient and attentive. All of the food was good. Nothing changed my life, but my turkey Reuben was tasty and the hand cut fries were fresh and well-seasoned. My very tiny complaint was that she asked about dessert before everyone was done eating. I didn't love the Second Amendment American flag on prominent display by the door. It doesn't match the vibes of the restaurant and felt a little too forcefully political. read more

We wanted to have a nice experience here today. We have fond memories of times past. But the restaurant is just off. Whether it's the kitchen or the server, I don't know. Just a few tables were filled on Sunday afternoon. We ordered buffalo wings as an appetizer. They came with no plates and one napkin each. When the plates came, we ate a few wings and suddenly our entrees appeared. We soon realized they forgot the onion rings and salads that went with our entrees. The server said the onion rings were still cooking. By the time the salad and onion rings came we were almost done with our entrees. We ended up taking the salads home. Just not a well timed dinner. Went to this Mulligan's tonight for the first time. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly young lady. We sat at the bar. The bartender Andy was amazing, friendly and funny! We felt right at home. The stools are comfy. The ambiance is beautiful with the pretty stained glass windows everywhere and beautiful wood molding and gold accents throughout. Just a really pretty space. Everything looked clean. The bar fountain coke was really good ( I'm a stickler about that) Food was good. I had the beer battered fish and my husband had a Cheeseburger. Both were very good and the fries were excellent as well. Husband ordered a Long Island which was really good and at a decent price. Andy stayed on top of drink refills for my coke and I never had to ask. Music wasn't too loud ( which I love) so that was nice. And it was pretty crowded in the place but still very quiet . That was really nice because I hate loud overly crowded restaurants. We were able to sit a while after dinner and relax at the bar and enjoy good conversation with ourselves and Andy. Come here about every other Saturday. Have explored a good portion of the menu and the food is always good and comes out quick. Burgers are tasty, the prime rib is killer and the wings are a step above the chain restaurants. The garlic Parmesan wings has actual shaved Parmesan cheese on top of them! The staff is always friendly and provides courteous service, especially the bartenders. The decor has the ambiance of an old time pub with a bunch of great Irish beers on tap. We were seated immediately and provided water but waited close to 12 minutes for anyone to swing over and take our order. We never saw anyone until our food finally arrived- the plates were on fire as they obviously had been sitting under the heat light. The burger was over cooked and the buffalo eggrolls were over fried and rubbery from sitting... Pork chop was undercooked ( red and bloody) Brussels proud were oily and mushy.I believe they were cooked on the same dish they served them in.chop was covered in an oily gross sauce no garlic flavor. I ordered Guinness beer battered cod. My husband had a bowl of beef stew and a salad. My son ordered rigitoni Alfredo with chicken. My husband enjoyed hus food, however, before we even left the restaurant he began to have a stomach ache. It has since put him in bed. My son said there was too much Alfredo drowning the rigitoni and chicken. Then there was my meal. The coleslaw I had 1 spoonful and it wasn't to my liking. No biggie. The meal came out and had amazing shoestring French fries. The fish was a huge disappointment. I expected that Guinness beer battered cod to be outstanding at an Irish pub. The breading was soggy and the cod was slime. I barely got 1 bite down. It tasted so bad that I had no more. The waitress asked me if I wanted to take it home to air fry it, um, no. I've been coming to this family owned restaurant every time I'm in the area for the past two years and they have never failed to disappoint. With a beautiful bar and a great dining room, it feels like a true pub. I try to explore the menu but keep coming back to the pasta with lobster sherry sauce, a dish I have yet to find anywhere else that is as good. I also very very highly recommend the beef stew and anything that has breadsticks (including the salads). I cannot recommend this spot enough to anyone who comes through the area. read more

Had a birthday dinner for my wife February 4th at Mulligan's with 13 guests. The food was delicious and our waitress was fabulous. We reserved the Library to have our dinner party and we were overwhelmed by the sheer elegance of the place. Everyone had a great time and portions were huge with many taking leftovers home for a second meal. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant which is a one of a kind place. Hope that more people take a break from the chain restaurants and give a locally owned place a try. read more

It was quite shocking that at 630pm in belden on a Saturday night this was only a 1/4 full. However, we pressed on. It had been many years since my last visit and it'll be many more until my next. 1) No cocktail menu. Server indicated I could order anything. I seriously doubt if I wanted a jalapeño margarita I could have (maybe) but who wants it to ask if they have items? 2) queen cut prime rib. Cooked medium rare as ordered. Devoid of any other flavor or seasoning. Horseradish was good. Au Ju - meh. 3) Brussel sprouts. Looked tasty. Undercooked by a lot. Bland. 4) Service was good. Our server thanked us for eating "local". Nice touch. Overall - was it awful - no. Was it something you come back and get again - no. Hence my 3 ranking. read more

We were traveling from Cleveland to Marietta and googled a non chain for dinner. We arrived around 4:50 and were met by a foul smell once we opened the first set of doors. It was empty besides the staff and we sat down for dinner. My wife's well done steak was as pink as my med rare queen prime rib. She sent hers back half eaten and they continued cooking it. Even w no alcohol or appetizers or desserts $90 bucks seemed high for the meal. One other couple arrived the entire time we were there. Something just felt odd. I'll never go back. read more

Went with family for Easter dinner. I ordered the ham and scalloped potato special. The salad with white French dressing was quite good but then came the meal. The ham was served in large chunks which were hard to cut through and the meat was tough. The scalloped potatoes were undercooked with what appeared to be a piece of hard cheese draped over them. We were in town to drop off some furniture for my step son and needed food! I googled rest near me and found Mulligans. We really didn't want a chain restaurant and from the pictures it looked like our kind of place! We get there and walk in and were greeted pretty quickly which is always very important to us! We sat in the general bar area, it was not super busy as it was around 3:30pm. The bar manager came over within I'd say less than 5 minutes to take our drink order. Didn't get her name but she was fabulou...cool black cat eye eye glasses for reference. Not two mins later we got greeted by our who ended up being our amazing server Ana. Not An Na but Ah-Na! Lol! She was great! We ordered the lobster bisqu. It wasn't very hot and I thought it was on the sweet side but my husband thought it was salty. Man our taste buds are so different! Lol! It was decent. If it was hot I would ha enjoyed more. We ordered the bone in wings! We got 20; 1/2 hot and 1/2 garlic parm. Let me just say...IMPRESSED! And we are wing connoisseurs too! They had a lot of meat and the flavor was very good and crispy!!! The hot sauce had a wonderful flavor! the garlic parm was really tasty! I do have to say and dont be mad Ana but the ranch and blue cheese for the wings, although flavorful, was very thin! We prefer thick. The place was really cool! Had some really nice old vintage vibe pub decor. Nice amount of TVs! There was some live music setting up when we were about to leave! But we will definitely go back when we are in the area! At this restaurant I ordered the beer battered cod. The first thing I noticed when I was handed the plate was how greasy it was. This makes me wonder how clean the kitchen was and how well they washed there plates. The fish was extremely soggy and was very hard to eat. I also ordered the fries and brussel sprouts. The fires were mediocre at best and had nearly no seasoning (The fries along with everything else was soggy). The brussel sprouts were borderline disgusting. They had zero seasoning and was very soggy. The waiters were very nice but besides that the whole place felt like a fever dream. I would not recommend. Edit: I threw up right afterwards read more

We took some out of town friends to Mulligan's for the unique atmosphere and great food. We were so very disappointed . Service was below average, not very friendly. It was a busy night, so points for waiting will remain neutral. Food was so wrong in every way. Potato skins were burned. Rack of ribs were really burned. Salmon had absolutely no flavor. And all the food came out cold. Instead of making it right, the server just said sorry, we are so busy. Only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is a very unique and beautiful place and our table conversation was great; despite the terrible food and sub-par service. When I called to order a man answered the phone and said hold on, then just laid the phone down for almost 5 min. I called back and a very polite woman answered and took my order. I added on the $10 filet option and this little baby nugget was what came. It was ordered medium but came well done charred, dry and with zero seasoning. To pay over $20 for a "steak salad" that had a one bite nugget of meat on it is ridiculous! Never again. Redoing my review as i had to read other sites to make sure we didn't just catch this restaurant on a bad night. we didnt. Stay Away !!! I don't know our waitresses name. She was tall and big and had a deep voice for a female. With todays society i'm not sure if it really was a man or woman. Dumped our plates off and drinks and never saw "her?" again until the check arrived. In my observation this proprietor definately isnt on site to allow the behavior that my wife and i saw. Smoking or vaping at the bar, and God awful customer service. This shack needs shut down. I saw reviews calling them white supremecists, and now i understand why on a Saturday night no one was in there. read more

Went to Mulligan's for Mother's Day. It was easy to get in and there were plenty of empty tables when everything else in Jackson was packed. Should have been a red flag. All of the food was excellent, but the service was among the most bizarre I've even seen. We came at 5:00 and our server was doing everything she could to rush us out the door the whole time. She was pregnant and said she had 3 kids at home, but it wasn't our fault she scheduled to work on Mother's Day. We had a party of 13 with a table check around $500. Would have been nice to get some decent service. They closed the bar while we were there (6 oclock???) and Teresa, our server, told us it was closed after the fact. Guess they've never heard of last call. A little over an hour after we sat down, they turned off the music and started vacuuming. Our server didn't offer dessert and seemed annoyed we asked. I wanted a post dinner coffee and she told me they had dumped it all out. She also literally bussed half-finished drinks right in front of us to get us to leave. Mulligans has been around forever and I want to like locally owned restaurants, but I would absolutely stay away if you want to be treated reasonably at your meal. I read that there are new owners as of a couple years ago and it's clear they don't know how to run a business. Just had one of the worst experiences at Mulligans Restaurant & Pub, Belden village location in Canton Oh. We made reservations for What was supposed to be a lovely Mothers day dinner with a party of 14. Instead, I'm leaving so disappointed !! Two major things I'd like to point out in the many of events for today are: 1. We all order our food. Two people in our party ordered flat iron steaks. About 7-10 mins before everyone's food arrive... We are told by our server that they've RAN OUT of steaks. We asked to speak to a manager (Joanna Swallen) in regards to this . Joanna then sends the server back to our table stating "there was Nothing she could do about it. We then ask our server to please ask the manager to come out and speak to us herself ( as ANY manager should do when a customer is dissatisfied and asking for them) Joanna finally comes to our table. We tell Joanna we were not notified about the steaks running out & everyone else's food is about to come out. We asked Is there anything else we could be accommodated for ? Like a another type of steak at a cheaper rate per say ?? Dessert? Anything ? Joanna replied RUDELY " well I dont order my steaks at that price " with her hands placed behind her hips (that she blamed on a back injury) and did not one time try to accommodate the party for THEIR lack of inventory. 2. A wire.. Yes, A freaking wire of some sort was found in my one of the childrens french fries.. A FREAKING WIRE ! We immediately grab whomever was close by to get the owner/manager. At this point, the owners husband (unknown name) was in the area & proceeded to ignore our request as he broke down tables. The server we asked to grab a manager, notified us IN FRONT of the husband that he has told him we needed to speak to a manager. A member from our party had to physically leave our table to hunt down a manager & advised him of their that was foundin the french fries. This was just unacceptable ! Thank God our bills were adjusted properly after everything we went through on today. It would've been nice for the owners/management team to come to our table and apologize. Had I looked at some of the reviews prior to going .. I would've suggested my family made reservations elsewhere . The management lacks customer service skills, the food was not good, and our food took forever to come out. I sent my food back as it arrived cold, the salmon specifically. * our server was amazing, and apologized for the events many of times.
