Came in a few days ago and got the south west pasta. The flavor was good but the chicken was dry as anything lucky the sauce saved it. That's not the real problem though. The bartender however, ?Rachell\Rochell? seemed inconvenienced by even having someone at the bar and that it was such a chore to even take an order, constantly rolling her eyes and making snide\rude comments. Went on a date with my wife (NO KIDS!!!!) to Iron Cactus. Food was good drinks were great. Food 8/10 limited menu, no steak options. Got a burger and chicken sandwich, both were very good. Appetizer was elote dip was AWESOME 9/10 would give it a 10 but needed a little more creaminess. Atmosphere 10/10 Service 7/10 wasn't very crowded but service was a bit slow. Servers and bartender were a 10/10 only reason for the 7 was because of how long it took. Price $$ very fair for quality of food. Overall 9/10 would highly recommend. Be sure to have some time to wait. read more

I love this place. Super chill vibes and good ambiance. I kind of like the fact that it's located away from everything. Menu is a little on the smaller side but so far everything I've tasted was really good! The staff is friendly and our food didn't take long to come out either. 4/2/2024 - Don't get out to the Acres very often but heard that the Iron Cactus was good so decided to give it a try. East to find next to Van Dam Farms and it looked nice & comfortable inside. Server Kelly was quick to seat us and take our drink order. It was lunch time so we my wife ordered chef's salad w/bacon & avocado added and I had the beef dip sandwich w/steak fries. Wasn't long before food arrived and it looked very good. The salad was huge (enough for a couple of meals) and the sandwich and fries were also large. The salad was very fresh and the beef dip was very tasty, definitely one of the best in the valley and the steak fries were fresh and crisp. We both needed take out boxes. Service was excellent, food was fresh and very good. Next time we'll try the dinner menu. Will definitely be back. read more

It's an ok restaurant. I went in with my family tonight. It was really busy. Service was decent. My wife ordered the New York steak it was over cooked. I ordered the pork chop it supposedly had apple butter it did not. My son ordered chicken tacos it was super dry the salsa tasted like pickles. Overall if you want to go to a nice steak house I would recommend going some place else. The mixed drink is actually pretty good I would come back for the drinks only though. Also my wife and I got the clam chowder it tasted like it came out of can. Would not recommend. read more

Great food and excellent service. Servers were all very nice. Really appreciate when the owners take the time to check on the customers. They're going through a transition from the previous owners to new owners. I noticed some of the older negative reviews must be from previous owners growing pains of just starting the restaurant. They definitely don't seem to apply anymore. Food portions were good and pretty comparable to other nice restaurants similar to this one. Steaks were fantastic, and the smoked Mac and cheese was amazing. I'm so happy to finally have something like this in the AV that I would normally be driving to Valencia for. Just a honest review. We tried Iron Cactus yesterday for the first time. When you first go in the atmosphere is nice. The drink menu was great with many options that I would try (more on the sweeter side). They only have premium liquor here. The drinks were delicious and strong! When it comes to the food I was not impressed. I feel like it was mediocre and nothing to "rave" about. Steak was over cooked and lacked flavor. Brussel sprouts were on the soggy. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor. Overall the food was average but the drinks were great. For $180 we will not be going back.. read more

So im giving two stars simply because the guy in the front that was going to sit us was very rude to us... we were excited to try this restaurant it was our first visit and our first interaction was this rude tall white man with an attitude that it just ruined the experience for us. Iron cactus is a really bad restaurant. We came in and it took us about 15 minutes to get seated and it wasn't even that busy. Food was alright didn't really have good enough taste for it to be that expensive. There workers not really helpful or polite. The Interior is cute/rustic. The food was bland. Ordered a steak ($45) with no seasonings on it AT ALL. Same with pork chop steak, no seasonings. The dishes come automatically with brussel sprouts, but they were soggy, were they supposed to be fried? The mashed potatoes were also seasonless. The french onion soup was okay, but you can tell it was reheated and then topped with cold cheese. When we were served, the food looked as though it had been re-heated. Dinner for 2: 3 cocktails 1 app 2 entrees = $150. We had heard so much about this place, it was sad to make the drive and enter an empty building and have the food flavorless. Drinks were the only thing(s) that were tasty and consistent. (Prices are posted on the menu, except for the steaks) We will not be going back. Unless its just for drinks. read more

Prices are typicall post COVID prices, no surprises. As far as portion size, look at the pictures and judge for yourself. They are not small portions. The spicy beef stew was fantastic. The smoked baked beans were delicious too. I also had the Monday special, a pork chop dinner. I've never seen a pork chop that thick. It was very good. Definitely 5 stars. Location's out there, but enjoyed watching a sunset since there's nothing in the way of it. read more

Wow what a huge disappointment! So overpriced! The food was horrible! My husband got a steak which came with Brussel Sprouts and scalloped potatoes. The Brussel sprouts were brown, looked like they were 5 days old! His scalloped potatoes looked like they were also 5 days old! Mushy disgusting and not even edible! My drink tasted like there was something rotten in it. ( they offered to replace it ) I ordered pasta with a steak on it. The steak was so raw the blood was all over my pasta and I couldn't get myself to eat it! The very tiny piece of bread that came with it was cold and completely burnt! Two weeks ago IC would've gotten all five stars (I've been several times with friends and family). They've been a gem of a spot for great food and more importantly..the best crafted cocktail in the Antelope Valley. I visited this weekend and can't say I will again. The waitstaff is still wonderful! The food was good- the appetizers are still delicious, but overall much greasier than before. The big problem is the new drinks and maybe the changes to the bar in general. The new menu is lacking- so not the crafted cocktail experience you go to IC for. The bar service was slow. We ordered drinks immediately upon being seated and they weren't done until we'd almost finished our appetizers, which was confusing as they were low quality and did not taste good. The nail was having overhead new bar staff discuss old bar staff unfavorably and openly to patrons. It's not a great look. read more

First time here & on Friday night. It was packed! We got a table since we called ahead. The first thing I noticed is the sound inside was reminiscent of being in a loud elementary school cafeteria at lunchtime. The concrete floors don't do much to absorb noise, for sure. We had to talk loudly to have a conversation. The server brought us waters right away and a drink menu. They have some fun drinks and a full bar. We ordered an old fashioned, desert mai tai & blackberry mojito. All very good. We ordered meatball appetizer--husband really liked, son thought it was ok, I didn't like it--sauce was not typical marinara. Tasted like it had chipotle in it. The garlic bread was good. Guys both ordered the tombstone burger & I opted for the clam chowder. Burgers were cooked nicely. All in all, very solid burgers. Husband got onion rings. They were decent. Fries were decent. Clam chowder very good. Wanted to order dessert, but just too full. Even though it was very crowded, we thought the service was very good. Our server and the rest of the staff were hustling. It's a solid restaurant, although the menu is a bit limited. The burgers were very good to excellent, but everything else was good to very good. Is it worth the 15-20 min drive out to the Acres for a burger? Not in my opinion when you can get a fantastic burger at Broken Bit or Maxdon's. For the locals in the Acres, happy they have a very good restaurant to enjoy. read more

We loved this place, but we came here for steaks, and they are off the menu! The only options were sandwiches, salads, pasta and burgers, with sides of fries or onion rings... This place has a nicer "sit down" ambiance to it, and with no steaks its just odd. Also the french onion soup was all onion and no soup. We were told steaks are off the menu because they were getting complaints... well, fix it! Don't just take them off the menu... Hopefully they can get their menu worked out because the mixed drinks are excellent. read more

Good!!!!!! Food was great there isn't one thing we tried we did not like , everything was yummy. I'm not huge on steaks so I got the chicken sand which , bun was soft , flavored and meat was all white meat great quality ! Hubby got the rib eye and yup I had to have some and don't you even think you need A1 sauce tender and ready to fill u up but not before we had our yummy artichoke dip and salads!!! We will be back !
