This quaint Ethiopian cafe is such a hidden gem! You truly step into the culture and history of the roasting industry of coffee beans. The team is sweet and gave great recommendations for tea choices! Ample seating, free WiFi, and smooth jazz- perfect working spot

This place is a little hidden, in the backside of a plaza on Flamingo (across from the Palms Hotel). But if you're willing to put in the effort to find it you'll be greeted by friendly people serving up the best Ethiopian roasted beans ( roasted in the cafe ) you can find in Las Vegas. We had a dirty chai latte, muffin and a shot of Espresso. Everything was fantastic.. the service, the coffee and the food.

I'm always in the need for coffee. Not just any coffee or even Starbucks, I prefer a small biz that serves good, strong coffee. Luckily, I discovered Java Tree via Yelp app after a huge lunch. It's nestled towards a corner of a plaza. There are some tables for outdoor seating, and inside is cozy and full of decor related to coffee. In several areas of the cafe, there are plates of beans and small cups displayed. Sitting in the middle of the cafe is the roaster. There is a nice smell of fresh beans in here but not overpowering like some other roasters I've been to. I'm not sure if the lady (or owner) is from Ethiopia, but that's what she serves as the house coffee, a strong Ethiopian bean that she said is the best, and what she supposedly drinks everyday. I opted for a 20oz. Hindsight, should've gotten a 16oz or smaller because this is a potent cup of coffee. I took it black because I really wanted to taste the coffee and not have it masked by cream or sugar. A 1/2 cup was enough to wake me up and keep me going for a while, and that rarely happens. I usually drink 2 or 3 cappuccinos or a Venti to get the same effect. I didn't have a chance to try anything else but next time I'm in Vegas and if nearby, I would drop in again for some potent caffeine.

I happened to be in the area in need of coffee when I saw this cute little Cafe. There is nice seating outside if it's a nice day out and you want to enjoy the weather. When we walked in I was in love with the coffee shop/Cafe feel. It is kind of an old country Cafe feel. I really liked it! They even roast their own coffee in the shop! I was so excited to try the coffee. The barista was friendly. I ordered a mocha and my family got a carmel frap and caramel machiatto. We were all very disappointed in the coffee. It was not good. Very bitter and my mocha seemed watered down. The other two were so sickening sweet we couldn't drink them. Even after mixing them up. I really wanted to love this place. It would be a great spot to meet friends for coffee but the coffee was really lacking which surprised me. Maybe the food is better but for a place that roasts their own coffee It was quite disappointing.

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast before our hike at Red Rock. It's been over a month and I'm still thinking about this meal. Such kind service and amazing food. We will be back!

I had a nice experience here at Java Coffee. The place is a little hidden, but glad we found it! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lady and she was very kind while we were ordering and making out drinks. The coffee beans used here are greatttt. I wish I could come here again, but we were from out of town. I would recommend:)

The cappuccino and chai latte were absolutely delicious! The service was super friendly too. And the coffee had such a great flavor.

This place is a HIDDEN GEM! First, the place is very clean and neat which I love ! Then their coffee is amazing! The service is quick and they are so attentive and nice ! Location is central and only few minutes from the strip. If you want a very good quality tasting coffee , this is a place to be!!!

Joy is half Ethiopian and half Italian, so if she can't make coffee she'll be letting down both cultures. The espresso here was the most balanced dark roast I've ever had, no unpleasant sourness or bitterness, just pure bliss

For a cold caramel macchiato they only have one size which is 20 ounce. It is good however a little too milky for my taste. I can taste NO coffee whatsoever just milk. I Did wanna order a crêpe but they were 12.99 and up which I thought was a little steep in my opinion. I love crepes I usually order them from my favorite place called what's crêpe and they're not that expensive there so I think I'll stick to What's crepe. The employees were extremely polite and sweet which I loved. It was extremely clean and beautiful inside very unique Decour. I will definitely go back and maybe try a different coffee.

Mood - tea Upon entering we walked up to the counter and the wait began. It wasn't busy, there wasn't a line. But no acknowledgment was given. Waited for about 10 mins before finally being seen. Opted for a pot of tea. Went and found seating, the tea was brought out. There was some sort of film on the lid of the pot, I took the tea back up to the counter and of course that made matters worse. I was told it must be a stain. I told the lady it was some sort of slime. At which point she touched for herself. She tried to take the tea from the dirty pot and place in a clean pot. I decided I didn't want to entertain this tea anymore. I honestly couldn't understand why not make a new pot of tea. Interior is beautifully decorated. They roast their own coffee beans and you can watch the machine roast. There are a few table and chair arrangements, and a sit up counter at the window. The outlets at the window have usb chargers. I can't recommend nor not recommend as I didn't get the chance to try the tea. The customer service was truly lacking. Maybe we were there at the wrong time. Pricing was reasonable Location is Flamingo/ Decatur- ample parking

    Hot chocolate Cafe Latte

Had a wonderful experience at The Java Tree. The real taste and experience of real flavor of Ethiopian coffee. The waffle was so fluffy but has a great texture feel with fresh strawberries and bananas. I tried the chechebsa it was delicious! The spice was perfect and the thin chip/bread texture was on point and the serving dish was a great experience.

There's also a drive thru option here for those who don't wish to get out of their cars. Been here a handful of times, my husband and I have tried various drinks including the mango sticky rice, cold brews w/added flavored syrups, hawaiian latte and lately, my personal fav: the Kailua iced latte which consist of haupia syrup. I always get my drinks half sweet and opt for almond milk. They also serve food items such as pastries, acai bowls, croissants and even a Hawaiian breakfast bento box. He says he could not taste banana or coconut but as the drink sat a bit, it got better. I loved the coconut flavor, lol but could not taste the banana. We would return though. It was nice inside. The bathrooms are eh, always taken lol. The dining areas though, wow! The Mango Matcha is eh, okay I guess. But the coffees were better but not the best. Now the pastries, all of them look so good! We plan to try plenty more here! But for now you will only get my mango matcha pic. It wasn't bad but idk, felt like it wasn't a matcha flavor I feel like I get from the authentic stuff. But hey, it's a French spot and idk what I'm doing I guess lol. Service was okay at the register, I didn't get my coin change and it seemed kinda on purpose, but I tipped cash anyways. I think it was the owner who did that. One of the back of the house guys was real nice in passing to the restroom. The ladies making my drink were super great with service. The Live music, the man sounded like Frank Sinatra, I was blown away! I was leaning towards 4 stars because of the no coins change back but the rest of the staff and Live music made me def go 5 stars! Well done to the Staff and Live Musician :)

When I brought it to the owner's attention, instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, he came over with an awful attitude. I explained that the raspberries had mold on them, and his response was a rude, "What do you want?" I told him I didn't want anything. He simply shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Mistakes can happen, and I probably wouldn't have even left a review over the mold alone. But serving moldy food and then treating a customer that way when they politely bring it to your attention is completely unacceptable.
