Prior to moving in, the day I was supposed to sign my lease, I read the yelp reviews in the parking lot. They were awful. I thought well maybe these are just one off people that are disgruntled and have unrealistic expectations. I walked in to make my payment for the deposit, and the girl at the front desk was rude and dismissive- to the point I walked out. I called the property manager and expressed my concerns with the reviews and the front desk. He reassured that they had an excellent reputation on google and the yelp people were crazy and had unrealistic expectations of a rental agreement. I believed him and rented from them. Then they sent out a notice a few weeks ago stating somebody would come by to change out the ac filters- not to worry they have keys and to lock up pets. Pets were locked up, but they didn't enter. They left the air filter for me to put into the AC unit and then charged me $75 but aren't going to come back to do the work?? They can't say what the $75 pays for and wont budge on waiving the fee even though they could have entered to do the work they needed to do. When this was brought to their attention, they declined to make any customer service gesture and doubled down on the fee. It's a complete money grab and so are all of their other "fees". Tbh I used to be a home owner and I thought i'd be saving myself a headache in renting but it seems like owning is probably a better move. Service star clearly doesn't have any customer service skills and care about their profit and the people who rent their homes through the company.

My wife and I were looking to buy a rental property from out of state and Tiffany was prompt in getting back to me (always a great first start), we chatted with a couple agents but Tiff was easy to talk to and had a few strategies we liked out of the gate. And she was an ASU grad so bonus points! We narrowed in on a budget, cities, and showing strategy (we bought sight unseen due to how competitive it is right now so coming to view each property didnt make sense) so virtual tours were key. We put trust in her to look at the house, point out any red flags and give offer advise. She even talked us away from one house we wanted to offer on which is good in my opinion, that's why you hire someone with industry experience, so we really appreciated that it wasn't just ablut closing a deal. We had specific requirements so after looking for about a month, she ended up finding us a beautiful house in Tempe before it hit the market and negotiated with the seller to work out a deal. We 100% would not have got that house if it wasn't for her and may still be looking today. We're very happy, and finally met her in person on inspection day. However, when we arrived, both the pool and jacuzzi were completely cold and unusable. When we reached out, the hosts told us they could heat it for an additional fee, which we were willing to pay. But this was never disclosed upfront in the listing, which already felt misleading. Then, to make matters worse, they came back and told us the water heater was actually broken--and that they were planning to fix it three days into our stay. No prior notice, no transparency, just a casual "oh well." This is completely unacceptable. If a key advertised amenity is not functioning, guests should absolutely be informed before booking or at the very least before arrival. We would have never booked this place had we known. On top of that, the cleanliness was also an issue. The toilet was clearly not properly cleaned and had visible stains, which is the bare minimum expectation for any stay. Because of all of this, we had no choice but to cancel our stay early (within 3 hours of checking in) . Overall, this felt misleading, poorly managed, and extremely frustrating--especially traveling with kids. and the worst part - they won't refund us back after all this. I will never go through Casago ever again.

I obtained Fort Lowell Realty in 2021 to manage my duplex. In the beginning, I had responsive and…read morecommunicative property managers. However, from 2021 to 2025 they went through four different managers. I would have one person, everything would seem to be going well and then abruptly they'd tell me someone else was being assigned. In 2025, I was again assigned a new manager, Andrea R. and communication significantly declined in comparison to other property managers I had been assigned. Emails would often go unanswered for long periods of time. Everything fell apart during a tenant move-out at the end of 2025. Before the tenant moved out, I provided the original lease and deposit records to Andrea so there would be no confusion. During the scheduled move-out, the assigned manager was unavailable, and the person who performed the move-out inspection took not one photo. I had to step in myself after tenant departure to take move-out condition photos because Fort Lowell staff didn't do it. The departing tenant was instructed to leave the keys unsecured in the mailbox after 5:30pm, which was very concerning because they didn't set up a lockbox for the tenant to securely leave the keys after the inspection. In addition to all of this, they issued a security deposit refund using rents from another unit to the tenant before fully reviewing damages. Keep in mind I held the deposits, but they did not consult me or provide me with the breakdown and obtain my authorization before refunding the money that I should have provided from the deposit account not use rents from another unit's tenant. To make matters completely insanely worse, the refund included money that had already been returned years earlier to a prior co-tenant! After I began formally requesting proper documentation and correction of the accounting, communication became worse. I sent a written notice under the contract giving them nearly a month to fix the issues. The problems were not fully corrected. After I terminated the agreement with proper 30-day notice, communication completely stopped, they did not follow up with me with requested documentation and stopped responding to my other unit's tenant they were still managing in this timeframe. I have still not received the complete documentation or the remaining funds in my owner account. I also later discovered that another tenant had gone six months without a properly executed lease renewal, and I was never informed. As a landlord, you need clear communication, accurate accounting, and proper handling of deposits. In my experience, those basic protections were not consistently in place. In addition, Fort Lowell's team is extremely unprofessional, completely ignoring clients, being condescending, and just displaying levels of incompetence I didn't know could exist. If you're a property owner, I would not recommend you use Fort Lowell. In fact, RUN!
