I honestly can't say enough good things about this location. I first walked into The Joint barely able to walk because my lower back had completely seized up. I was in a lot of pain and honestly just hoping someone could help me get moving again. Dr. Ryan took the time to do a thorough evaluation, explained what was going on in a way that actually made sense, and performed a gentle adjustment that gave me some immediate relief. He also gave me stretches to do at home and laid out a treatment plan instead of just sending me on my way and saying, "See you next time." I stuck with the plan, and I'm so grateful I did. These days I see Dr. Patel for my weekly adjustments, and he's been fantastic. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and takes the time to ask how I'm doing before every adjustment. I never feel rushed, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. The front desk team deserves a shoutout too. They're genuinely kind, efficient, and always make check-in quick and easy. It's one of those places where everyone seems happy to be there, and it makes a difference. Now I'm back to feeling like my normal 40-something self instead of someone who could barely get out of a chair. I still go once a week because it's become part of my routine, and honestly, I look forward to it. So I try to get there with as much time as I can afford. Their questionnaire is on a digital pad now and takes too long to fill out, or it freezes. The doctor that adjusted me today did not seem concerned about whether I felt relief from the adjustments. I came in with pretty bad neck pain from sleeping wrong and usually a visit to a chiropractor will ease the pain, but this time it did not. I understand that a visit to the chiropractor won't always fix an ache but proper concern about how I feel after an adjustment would be expected. I go to the chiropractor weekly in CA so I'm familiar with adjustments. I think the Joint can be very good, but you have to make sure you find a good experienced doctor and stick with them. read more

I was disappointed by my adjustment and the customer service at this particular location... My adjustment lasted maybe two minutes. May be I landed at a wrong time, they were about to close in 10 mins, but since I had been having sever pain in my back, I had to get it done. I did check that if they could accommodate me. Since I was an existing patient, they could get me adjusted. The doctor did not ( I guess have time) to ask me about my concerns. She just competed it in less than 2 mins. I usually get hip and leg alignments. But she did not give me all/proper and complete adjustments. I had some queries and concerns to ask, but she did not have time. They were in so much rush, that by the time I came out they were waiting with their bags at the door, (for me to step out) so that they could lock and leave !!! I visit Austin every month and this trip I have had some really bad neck pain. Someone in my office recommended me to this location and I was excited to get some relief. That did not happen. Just a few moments I called to ask some questions the person on the phone was horrible. She sounded annoyed and did not care. Each question I asked I felt like it was just bothering her. I work in Customer Service and the first moments you meet a client whether over the phone or in-person are crucial. I do not recommend the Joint Chiropractic. I paid for the monthly subscription but quickly saw I did not feel comfortable with the practitioners so I did not fulfill my contract. Could not bring myself to go in after trying once at this clinic and one at another. My discomfort was of a sexual nature, that the practitioners were predatory in their behaviors. For instance, one of them put their hand on my bare back under my shirt when it would have perfectly sufficed to be on top of my (thin) t-shirt. He also put my leg in between his to the point that it touched his genitals. What the actual fuck? Worse, when I emailed the company about it TWICE, no one followed up with me. Why is that? And why are there no female practitioners available? I think this company is preying on people, especially women. I do not recommend whatsoever. Such a waste of money. read more

Actual conversation with a chiropractor there, last Thursday: Me: I slept in a weird position and have a crick in my neck. Chiro: Were you drinking? Me: um, No. Chiro: Did you take any sleeping aids or 'anything else' that might cause you to pass out? Me: No. Chiro: Do you want to know why I asked you that? Me: (Resignedly) Why? Chiro: Because sometimes when you take things that make you pass out you can sleep really heavily and not wake up when you're in a bad position. Great, thank you for pegging me as a drinker / drug user and mansplaining to me that imbibing in these things can cause you to pass out in bad positions- clearly the only plausible explanation for someone with dyed hair walking in with neck pain. On top of that, he didn't ask or listen to my volunteered attempted to describe where the pain was and unsurprisingly this session did not solve the problem. To say the least, this was not worth the money to be insulted, condescended to, and on top of it not have my problem fixed. read more

I like the concept of these franchises. Quick in and out adjustment, monthly membership that would be cheaper than the cost of your insurance copays. This is not for everyone though. Know your medical history...they don't take xrays or do diagnostic care it's more maintenance and preventative care. I go to both mueller and round rock locations. I think the deal is good for the monthly membership but you are locked in for 6 months if you go for the $49 a month plan. Most people won't use up their visits in the 6 months and that's how they make their money. I was informed that I can make my account inactive and still retain that discounted monthly price if I ever want to reactivate so that's good to know! read more

I had my reservations about a chain chiropractor, but a friend asked for help with a back issue in Facebook, and many of his friends said this place was great. Since I was experiencing postpartum back and neck issues, and my usual chiropractor was virtually impossible to get to with two small kids in my schedule, I came here and was amazed! Dr. Murphy diagnosed my issues, gave me an adjustment, and my neck pain was gone later that day. I continued coming for my lower back, and those issues have been improving with each visit. Best of all, since coming here for all my baby-related issues, the migraines I'd been having have stopped, and I am sleeping much better - dreaming earlier in the night, and experiencing more deep sleep. Just awful. I walked out feeling very upset. No bedside manner at all--I felt like I was being scolded for treating my back so poorly. It was like I was in a nail salon with bad cuticles. I didn't get the doctor's name, unfortunately. Never did he ask if I had been to a chiropractor before, what I do to take care of myself, what sorts of changes might work for me. He diagnosed, then went into a sales pitch for all that I need to change, never asking me where I was starting from--who I was. He has a lot to learn about helping people. Maybe start with kindness? Ask questions beyond what the form already did? Offer hope instead of blame? Watch an episode of Mr. Rogers, dude. If you want to help people, really help people, you are doing it wrong. read more

I like this location of The Joint because it's closest to my work and fairly new and surrounded by lots of other shops and restaurants. No appointments are required, and I think the longest I've had to wait is 10 minutes during lunch hour. It's a quick no nonsense adjustment, which is nice because I'm always on the go. I went yesterday and the pain I had is 95% gone in one treatment, so I'm a pretty happy camper! I have a package but not a subscription, and it fits my needs. read more

While the Joint may not be the best place for really serious back issues, it does not advertise as such. When I first came into the Joint (different location than Mueller), I described my problems, and the chiropractor explained that other places do MRIs and other tests that are more comprehensive and exact for more serious issues. The chiropractor described The Joint as a wellness center. While my back isn't fixed of its problems, I feel better every time I go in. While I probably can't/won't swing the monthly cost to keep going in, I'm in a lot less pain now. I would do the same thing again if I were in the situation. It's just so much cheaper than all the fancy machines of a real chiropractor. I liked the chiropractor I had twice at Mueller. An older gentleman who was knowledgable and patient. He gave me tips to heal outside of The Joint -- a pleasant fellow. The receptionist was so nice at this location, I wonder if she owned the company. I live in The Woodlands, but was up in ATX for my wife's work. Happened to see this place and stopped in. The office is clean, tidy and well maintained. I asked if it was a problem that I had a membership at another location, it was not. Was checked in promptly and waited all of two seconds before I was seen. The Doc was excellent and had me corrected and on my way in 5 minutes. It also helps that we talked about the Astros, which I am always up for. I would highly recommend this location!!! read more

Went to this location because I woke up with neck pain after sleeping on the couch. This always happens if I sleep on the couch and goes away after a day or two, but I figured I've never been to a chiropractor so maybe it'll give immediate relief and they can crack my back and stuff. Well the doctor certainly did crack my neck and back a bit and the next day my neck pain was gone. However, this was 2 weeks ago and I haven't been able to feel the top of my right foot ever since. I called 2 days after the initial appointment to ask if it was normal and the receptionist asked the doctor; the doctor doesn't pick up the phone just passed along a referral to a different chiropractor independent of the Joint entirely... (a different chiropractor, really?) and that I get x-rayed. Well now I'm out $150 for an X-Ray not to mention how many sessions it's going to take with this new doctor to fix what never should have happened in the first place. The fact that the doctor tells the receptionist I spoke to on the phone to tell me to have me call a different doctor in the exact same field tells me all I need to know about this place. And the difference between my session at The Joint versus my session with the physician they referred me to was night and day. At this place the doctor actually tells you the risks involved with adjustments, had equipment that he used, and actually looks you over before deciding what should be done. Why my lower back was messed with willy-nilly in the first place when all I complained about was a stiff neck is beyond me. Further incompetence when I'm calling to get advice from this place and I can hear the doctor in the background but he's not willing to get on the phone, just telling the receptionist what to tell me. I ask "what do I need to get X-rayed? What might it be?" And the receptionist goes "your foot right?". ..... why would I need an x-Ray on my foot? Your practice adjusts the spine...are you kidding me? "Hold on let me ask the doctor....he said your lower back". Well at least he's aware where the nerves are that affect the feet, so I have a suspicion he MIGHT be a licensed doctor. Beware of the risks of chiropractors, they are messing with your spine. They don't tell you of any possible risks here and don't take the time to actually examine you, just start popping and cracking away. If you are going to go to a chiropractor look up one that's an actual medical office. This place is a wellness clinic, just pumping volume out not focusing on the patient... I now have some issue with some nerve in my back and who knows if it will ever go away. I can promise you really don't want to know what it's like to feel like your foot is asleep for 2 weeks straight. ...so mad at myself I didn't just take an Advil or get a massage that morning. I'm a 25 year old healthy male who would have been fine just letting my neck loosen itself up, and now I'm a 25 year old guy who can't feel his foot because this place was close to the grocery store and why not give it a shot. Funnily enough this is my fault for going to this place after my twin brother told me it was hilarious how little effort the doctor put in. He bought some package that gets a few visits and he said he went for his second visit after work one day and the doctor walked him back, spent literally 60-120 seconds cracking his back and that was it. He couldn't believe it and we laughed about it. Well I'm not laughing anymore because sure a ridiculously sub par standard of care should be expected of a shopping mall chiropractor and is funny when it's innocent. But when it results in a what I would now classify as chronic condition, it's just pure negligence and needs to be warned against. Anyways; don't say I didn't warn you. read more

First and last visit. Went in for an adjustment as a new client paid my dues had my body partially adjusted. My thought process was you pay for an adjustment and they adjust your full body not just the parts that are in pain. Apart from that the chiropractor herself stated that she would send me some videos for me to stretch the particular body part and has yet to do so. I'm assuming this hasn't been done due to the fact that ultimately didn't purchase a package deal for 15 adjustments. Granted they are a business but the customer service was not top notch. On top of that comment I asked for my other shoulder to be adjusted and she replied you need to come back for that to be done when then I realized it was all about the sale and not the customer service.
