Arrived for dinner and hostess was not even friendly. Acted like didn't even want to get out of chair. Not even a hello or welcome. Seated us without a word. Sat for more than 5 min and no one came to the table to at least take our drink order. We got up and left. It was not busy at all to warrant poor service and hospitality. I am from NYC so I don't really care tooooo much about service as long as my food is good but I've been here a few times and my waitresses are always cute and nice to us not OVERLY friendly but they do the job period. Decided to check them out for lunch. It had the usual casual seafood restaurant vibe...all dark wood & nautical decor. It was very quiet when we were there. Our server, Phoenix, was great at explaining about the food and ensuring that our drinks were filled. We ordered the lunch special of shrimp & snow crab with the Juicy Special seasoning which Phoenix explained was a mix of garlic butter, lemon pepper & Cajun seasoning. Personally I felt that the food had a nice kick but was a bit too salty and too oily. It was drowning in butter & both the corn & the shrimp were a bit overcooked. Recently ordered online for pickup and it was very easy. I ordered a Hungry Fest - mild & Juicy Special. Website explained combo in detail and was able to use Apple Pay to check out. When I arrived at the restaurant in the pickup I noticed a sign saying the Hungry Fest was $28.99, but I was charged $34. No real issue, was just a question, but she said it was because I ordered via DoorDash even though I used the website to skip the 3rd party fees. I have had the restaurant prior to though. I have dined in and ordered out more times than I can count. This evening I ordered crab legs and shrimp to go. When I get home, I poured the contents of my boil into an empty bowl. I look down a find a rock the width of a dime with the thicknesses of 6 dimes. I understand that this food comes from the ocean, but a blind man could see this huge piece of gravel when preparing my boil. Thank God I didn't actually bite into this! I would most definitely have a chipped tooth at the least. I don't usually post negative comments or reviews, but this is too much! So I went there last night Ordered a pound of Dungeness crabs and a ice tea . The business was so cold the server was wearing her outside winter jacket ! I asked for a knife to cut my Potato They don't provide or have knifes or salt and pepper shakers ! Then when I asked for a crab claw cracker I was told that the manager had to bring it to me ? It was like eating outside pic Nic For a lot of money . That being said the food was good and the server was pleasant . Horrible. They don't even deserve one star. I ordered $40.00 worth of food. No one ever called to tell me it was ready. However I came to the restaurant to pick it up and I walked in and no one helped me or acknowledged me. They saw me. I told one of the girls I came to pickup the order and she went to the back where another woman, possibly a manager, walked out and they both just stood and ignored me. I had my credit card in my hand. I looked at them. They looked at me. I turned and left. I will never return. The food was ready. It was closing time for them. So someone got a free seafood boil with fish and that's probably what they were hoping for anyway. I hope the owner knows they are losing money because of such poor customer service. read more

We had lunch here today. The menu was a bit scary, but our server, Nate, was very helpful. We ordered steamed shrimp " in a bag." I added sausage and the establishment added corn on the cob and a potato. They also provided gloves, a bib, wipes, napkins and plastic forks. You need every bit of it. The "juicy" seasoning was perfect as we opted to dump our bag into the pan. Tasty, messy and well, fun. I added the Cajun oysters were very good, as well. An excellent find. read more

Man... I'm so sad because I was actually recommended this place by a coworker. I'm visiting from out of town and came to get a quick bite to eat. As soon as I walked in no one greeted me but they said I could go to the bar. As I sit at the bar, the manager on shift said, "Did you make a togo order.." And then proceeded to talk to her staff.. They were pushing me to get a togo order and not eat in.. The place was pretty dead so I get it but the service was trash so I literally left. If you're going to be rude to people, I suggest you don't work in restaurants. Definitely never coming again and I suggest you don't either. read more

This review is mixed. The service started out great, then it slowly went downhill. It took over thirty minutes to settle the check over a charge that needed taken off. She just never came back. The crab legs were good, but it came with one potato the size of a golf ball and a very small half ear of corn. For the price the portions were ridiculous. Others in my party had chicken tenders and fried tilapia. They were not impressed by either dish. Probably will not return. read more

Sadly i drove from kentucky on a road trip to this place to get there at 9:27pm and the hostess "adrianna" told us we couldnt dine in because they were getting ready to close. I said the website said 10pm, she said well they have cut all of our servers. I was told that i can take the order to go so i placed the order and while waiting saw lots of servers assisting clients. Food is good just like it was recommended, sad that the service disappointed us and one person that wants to go home ruined the whole experience. That's why the ONE star. read more

I took my daughter there for her 18th birthday. I asked over 5xs for them to sing Happy Birthday, like most businesses do. They had sang to someone earlier but they totally disregarded us. It was my daughter's 18th birthday which was "super special." She was extremely disappointed and so was I. I spent a lot of money there but received less than expected service. Think twice before taking someone there for a special occasion. The atmosphere isn't well for a special occasion, but it's good for a regular day with nothing to celebrate. read more

Having heard how good the food was I decided to go there for dinner. I order the fried fish which only came with coleslaw so I had to place an order for fries separately. The fries were the best part of the meal hot and delicious. The fish looked like a fried forearm that's how it was shaped and hard with so much batter I couldn't find the fish it was horrible. After seeing the reviews now, not surprised at my review. No one probably answers the phone because they are too busy on their own to answer it. I walk in to order the sauce for my own boil I have at home because I heard that's all they do good here. The hostess Tammy was very nice and greeted me. However, I get to the Togo area and there was no one there but a young lady on her phone who never even looked my direction or say she will be with me. She was clearly on the clock because she mentioned she needed to get off her phone and finish up her shift to the person on the phone after I had already got the hostess to take my order. Tammy was the only thing positive about this experience. Who ever owns this location needs to do a rebranding and like fast because I'm pretty sure they aren't to happy about NO ONE wanting to eat there because they don't have a staff that cares anyway. Our first time visiting this location !! 7/21/2020 Great food and service was had at this location. Wife and I both enjoyed the service and the food was wonderful. Out of all The Juicy Crabs we have went to this was by far the best . Waitress was great and served very well as was the Manager that made her way around to all the tables to make sure everything was up to our standards. If you are ever at this location ask for Shay as she was the bomb eating on us. Food (wife had Crab and Shrimp and I had Shrimp and Sausage) and desserts was WONDERFUL!! read more

The Juicy Crab is my favorite restaurant. I've been to several locations throughout the state. I'm very disappointed in the Macon location. I ordered via pick-up and once I got back to the hotel, I discovered that the food was Luke warm, the sauce was stretched very thin... the consistency of water, and the 1 pound of shrimp that I ordered appeared to be 1/2 a pound. I'm sooo disappointed as I had planned on eating at this location several times as I am in the area for a couple weeks. read more

Ate at Juicy Crab in Macon, GA the first and last time! The steamed oysters were awful. Meal came out incorrect. Steamed shrimp were over cooked to the point you could barely peel them. I made waitress aware and ask her to let manager and cook know. She could care less...Manager did not even have the courtesy to come over and apologize. Just leaving a review for an ingredients issue, first time being there, service was SLOW for not that many people in there, I'm aware of understaff and online orders, I understand that. Sever was sweets, left a tip. I order shrimp with Garlic butter/mild with a side of fries. That night I was SICK TO MY STOMACH, literally Diarrhea. Had a worker tell me they went through the same thing due to maybe the butter. My wife son and I went there last night. It's a nice looking establishment, lots of seafood decor and photos of well known people around. Tried ordering several different beers, was told that they didn't have what was on the menu. The food came out fast, we had catfish, shrimp, and crab legs. My catfish was good. All the food had good flavor a little greasy but it was fried so what do you expect. Service was okay. They don't serve butter with crab or give crab crackers to open the legs up. Crab legs come with small potato and 1/3 to 1/2 and ear of corn. Maybe it only comes this way, my son didn't want the potato and corn so we ordered fries with the crab legs instead of potatoes and corn. So when the meal came it came with potato and corn. We mentioned something to our waiter and he brought fries shortly. When the bill came I was charged for the crab leg leg meal with potato's and corn, and a five dollar charge for fries! I asked about it and he said "that's just the way it is". Okay? I didn't argue, having been a server for years, but I would have let me know it was gonna be a 5 dollar charge for some fries. It's Sunday morning now and my wife and son were up all night feeling sick. Neither had anything else to eat after we left last night. Probably not gonna go back. read more
