Me and my family went in around 8pm the lady making drinks was not listening very well and apparently didn't wanna be there , me n my husband went to pay and my mom and dad was behind me well the one girl who was at the register said "I don't care we closing at 9 I'll make them leave " she had a nasty ass attitude from the beginning. Well she apparently told my mom and dad to come over there and pay, my mom didn't hear her so my mom continued to check out with the person she was originally at. Well this lady just snaps and starts yelling at my mom so of course my mom yells back I guess she thought my mom wasn't gonna say nothing back ‍ but I told the manager and I don't think he really did anything so I will be contacting corporate!! This experience was the worse I have ever had at the Golden Corral. The food was flavorless. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING I ate except the fruit had flavor. I was highly disappointed. I read other reviews on Swarm and they were positive so I was excited to stop here on my way to Orlando. However, this was a stop I wish would had never taken place. I had a great experience with the server Sarah she's great and very attentive... However I did have a problem with her manager Bill... He was very rude to Sarah in front guest... He made us along with others feel very uncomfortable... It's never about what you say but how you say it... It took everything in me to not get snappy with him... I was initially terrified to come here based on the many poor reviews. However, I've had a hankering for some old fashioned American style buffet food for a while so said a prayer and took a chance. (I also wanted to pass on this joyful experience to my little one since it was always a great time for me when I was growing up. Endless food and no "Nos" in sight! Well the food, staff and service was impeccable. If I had to gripe I could say there was a bit of a wait coming in because there was only one cashier at the register. Honestly it wasn't a big deal at all because it was well worth the wait. We tried a plethora of food and EVERYTHING we tried was on point- fresh AND flavorful. My little one said she ate beautiful(ly) and even now proceeds to sing in the back seat, lol. I'd say this place has truly redeemed itself. Keep up the amazing work please! Horrible restaurant and the absolute worst Golden Corral I've ever been to. We stopped on a trip from north Ga to South Ga and decided to eat here. My kids love the buffet and options that Golden Corral offers but this was not a pleasant trip. First we sat down in a room because they were packed and nowhere to sit unless you wanted to be on top on another family. Nobody stopped us and after we got our plates, we were instructed to find somewhere else to eat. They first tried seating us next to the waitress area and it smelled like sour sewage and I refused and finally found a table that was again on top of another family eating. Next the food was not good at all. The chicken dumplings had square cubes of so called chicken and was not good at all. In the end we ate less than what we paid for because of how nasty it was. As we left, we tried to go to the bathroom and we were told they were closed and find somewhere else to go. In the end, this place will not receive my business again and the Golden Corral franchise should shut this place down. read more

Worst place in Macon, not because of the food, but the service and management ( Joke) I went in, paid and went to get something to eat, no bowls for the soup. The guy working said "we have plates over by the desert table. I really cant see myself eating soup from a plate, so I asked again, can I get a bowl, answer was "well they were here a little while ago. So i decided to just get a refund and go somewhere else. Here's where the fun starts, someone that #1 never said to me high, i'm the manager how can I help you ? but said the bowls are over there" I said they were not whaen I wanted them and was told.... she walked over to the soup counter, grabbed the basket and started yelling at me "Here they are right here" 2-3 times yelling at me in front of a bunch of customers try to come in. I said just give me my money back and the yelling started again and I said why are you yelling at me in front of all these people? Just give me my money back. So needless to say after 3-4 years of not going to this place, I will never and I repeat NEVER go there. I know I don't matter to them but in this town, I am very well-known, and I will spread the bad words like the wind. Money is too hard to come by these days and when someone CHOOSES to spend it with you, at least hire and TRAIN these people how to do their job and teach them respect for the ones that are paying they're checks. We dined at Golden Corral this evening. The food was ok. For some reason they were out of broccoli the whole time with no more in sight for the remainder of the evening. Just an FYI, they ARE NOT SOCIAL DISTANCING! A HUGE CONCERN DUE TO THE PANDEMIC WE'RE STILL IN!!! We didn't even get refills on our drinks when they were empty. They just ignored us. I'm a bit gobsmacked at how much they did not care. The forks were halfway clean, had to get a new set, and luckily we had Clorox wipes on hand to wipe them down. We also had to wipe down the table since it was BEYOND STICKY from tea and soda residue that had been left there for god knows how long! Also! The air filtration within the building was so dusty and in need of a change of filter or at least a window open, that my child was sneezing constantly! The food was fresh and seasoned well. You come here for a wide variety and as I travel a lit I come for veggies and ate 10 different ones and all were good. It is not fancy and most show wear and mess of tons of diners who aren't fastidious in cleanliness but this location was fine as ling as you understand who Golden Corral caters to as a client. read more

Usually not a fan of buffets and try to avoid them at all costs because of the messy feel they give off. I'll keep the review short and simple for those needing a place. The food is spotty, some of it is really good and others are lacking on the taste scale. This isn't a place for some date but as a family on vacation it's perfect. Went here 05/20/18.Not!!! A good place had these chicken dried over cooked bbq,at lunch time. Salald bar is best thing. But I seen better. They tea you to death but that's the South.baked chicken was okay.Fried okra good. Fish was to thin had to hot sauce it to death. The service is decent, but sometimes it seems as if the staff don't want to do their job. The thing that bothers me is the customers here, some are friggan rude. Americas best value buffet sacrifices a lot quality for the cheapness. The decor is mostly filled with lots of golden yellow and a unvibrant red. When we got there there was 5 SCHOOLS eating at this buffet already. When we were seated we were given these little silverware packets and mine did not have a spoon. The place is separated into main sections The wok- Asian food The pizzeria- pizza (obviously) Salad bar - salad Comfort food- where foods like their fried chicken and popcorn shrimp are Breakfast food- where breakfast food is They had a some other sections that I don't remember the names of As I told you, there was 5 schools eating here tonight so you can imagine all the uncleanliness, cotton candy and other food on the ground, some of the food was "mixed with others," and the chocolate from the chocolate fountain was in other places it shouldn't be. The food is on the lower end of mediocre and the quality of the food was bad too. The service was decent, but I think that they were a bit short staffed that night. We had 3 people for our room which I think is a good ratio. There have definitely been better golden corrals in other areas. I don't recommend going here. read more

Twice a year I come home and visit the beautiful state of Georgia, and this is one of my usual stops. Compare to the California version the food at this Golden Corral is much more flavorful and is really enjoyable. Facility was clean floor staff was on point however many of the items have set to long making them hard and very nastey, beware there sesame chicken it was more of a burnt husk then actual food. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants. Never eat at them at home and when we travel we use AAA to find mom and pop places away from the interstate. Several years ago my husband and I selected a BBQ joint in Macon but then he admitted he didn't want BBQ. We were near this Golden Corral, tired and hungry so I reluctantly agreed to eat there. Now, every time we travel from Florida to anywhere North, we route ourselves through Macon at dinner time. Their buffet is really, very, very good. The selection is wide and varied, from catfish and fried okra to pot roast and vegetables, Salisbury steak, even an Italian station and Taco station. Their fried chicken is so good along with sweet potatoes, green beans, collard greens. And their salad bar is very fresh. They are always busy so the food is refreshed often. Desserts are varied (banana pudding, cobbler, pastries, cakes, pies, ice cream with tons of toppings for the kids and a chocolate fountain) but I would have to offer only 2 or 3 stars for quality in this department. Hospitality is typically Southern and warm. Sometimes the cashier has seemed rather 'efficient' on a Sunday, but she is good at processing the diners as they come through the line. Staff tending the tables and the fresh cooked meat station are always friendly. The dining room in spacious and we always find a table and don't feel rushed. We have eaten here about 7 or 8 times now over the last several years and have never once been disappointed. I don't understand the negative reviews other than to say I guess you can find things to complain about anywhere, but if you are looking for a reasonable buffet with a wide variety of freshly prepared foods you will be happy with this choice. read more

Wow, I have to say if you haven't been to the Golden Corral on Presidential PKWY in Macon Georgia, you have to go there. My wife and I went on Thanksgiving Day and had the time of our lives. When we first entered the building, we were immediately greeted regardless of how busy it was.The waitress was on top of her job. She kept our glass filled with tea. Not to mention the food bar was delicious. You have to try the meatloaf and mash potatoes. It was almost like your mom or grandmother had made it. I had a very good time that day. my family and i visted the macon location on presidential parkway today, we had a party of 7 not including 6 kids.when it was time to order drinks without looking i immediately said i wanted strawberry soda because that's usually what i get needless to say the woman taking drink orders said so you see strawberry up here i said sorry i'll take root beer.fast foward to us being seated the waitress walked by is look and said well damn somebody must have lied and said we were giving out free food today.as the waitress was introducing her self she saw another employee walked by the waitress said "damn she done lost so much weight she look like a fuckin scarecrow(remind you i had kids aging from 2yrs-5yrs old) and burst out laughing.after we ate dinner my sister and i went to get the kid's desserts while noticing a cotton candy machime we stood in line to be served so we explained how many kids we had bit the server was so rude and said well it's only one bag per part my so y'all need to share, but we had jux witness her asking another customer how many bags she needed and she had not kids with her. for the amount of money we spent and after leaving almost $40 as a tip we were very dissatisfied with pur service and we don't plan on returning. read more
