I don't know how you order a 20 ounce ribeye and there's three different types of the way they cook it. You have a piece of raw then a medium piece and then a medium well I just don't understand how that can happen and then you get macaroni and cheese that is not hot broccoli that's not any good. Something needs to happen.

Hi from Haze I just enjoyed food at Texas Roadhouse. Jay is really good at keeping us fed and entertained. Set in a new section. Great place to enjoy food and conversation with friends. Haze approved!

This is what they say is medium well. Damn thing was still mooing

They need some quality control here. There were 4 of us out to dinner here on Sunday 11/02 and we all had issues with the food. My medium well steak walked to the table by itself, it was that rare. My mashed potatoes were gritty but with enough salt was ok. Didn't send it back though because another person in our party already had to send her shrimp back because they were so chewy. Don't leave shrimp(or any seafood) under a heat lamp. Another person asked for cheese on the side for her chili and gets a cup of 40% cheese and 60% chopped onion? And by the time they got it right, her chili was cold. And the less said about the bathroom, the better. Urinals that go all the way to the floor are terrible unless you like puddles of piss or splashback on your pants. In that case, this is your place. Won't be going back. Awful

Texas Peach Fuzz drink tasted like pure pink grapefruit!! YUCK!! Manager wanted to charge me for a new drink!! I call bullcrap!!

I ordered a Texas Peach Fuzz drink that tasted like pure grapefruit juice. Bar manager basically called me a liar and said if I wanted to order a different drink I would have to pay for the new one as well as the crappy one. I call bullcrap!

Let me start by saying my server Damion was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and very kind. I ordered the NY Strip with mushrooms. Broccoli, which is not listed as a side and a baked potato. Everything was tasty, and my steak was cooked, perfect medium. I didn't opt in to Margarita Monday ($3), but maybe I will indulge next time. This restaurant has plenty of parking, and although it was a good crowd, I never felt more cared for. Plus, qathe rolls! Need i say more.

Always a great experience when we come here! Super friendly staff here. Brought my parents here who were visiting out of town. My fiancé and I love coming to this location. Always great food! I got the big sirloin this time! Everyone got sirloins and loved their meals!

Visiting Macon for the first time. We decided to find something to eat once we checked into our hotel. We are simple folks so we went for what we know would be good. You can't go wrong at Texas Roadhouse. It was a rainy day and at the time, the restaurant was also the site of a blood drive. The Red Cross trucks were in the parking lot. Ok kool. We were seated Ina. Nice booth by the window. Another plus. The server came to ask us what we wanted to drink. Gave our order. It took us forever to figure out what we wanted to eat. The server kept coming to the table. We could tell she was annoyed somehow. Ok whatever. Eventually we ordered our food. We made the mistake of not ordering alcohol beverages in the beginning. All of a sudden there was a whole production filming a commercial near where we were sitting. They blocked the severs from tending to their tables. It was all so bizarre. I gave this slot 4 stars because of the food but definitely not because of the whole atmosphere.

Bartender Ty Holloway does NOT know how to make a Margarita! Yuck! 3/4" from the top... ice sticking out... not even half a rim of salt.... Where do they get these people?!!

    Our phenomenal waiter.

Located in Downtown Macon, parking is available via street parking. Finding a close spot on the weekend is like winning the Mega Million, possible, but don't count on it. We lucked up on this night and found a spot directly across from the restaurant. As we made our way to the entrance, we were unexpectedly greeted by a woman passionately yelling obscenities at us. Nothing like a little downtown ambiance to set the mood. Thankfully, the heavy police presence on every corner made me feel safe enough to proceed to the restaurant. Once inside, the chaos faded instantly. We were welcomed by a gregarious and friendly staff, informed them of our reservation, and were seated immediately. On this particular Saturday, they weren't overly busy, so we even had the luxury of choosing which booth best suited our comfort level. The atmosphere is intimate and upscale without being stuffy. Think dim lighting, elegant music, exposed ceilings, and décor that says "rustic charm" but also "yes, this entrée will cost more than $30." Our waiter was professional, attentive, and genuinely pleasant, the kind of service that makes you relax and stop checking the time. We started with cocktails: I ordered the strawberry lemon drop martini, and my husband opted for an old fashioned. Both were well-crafted, smooth, and strong enough to make us forget about the crazy lady outside. For appetizers, we each ordered the crab cake. You get one small crab cake, but it was tasty and respectable by Middle Georgia standards. Entrées are à la carte, so order accordingly. I ordered the Chilean sea bass with Brussels sprouts and spinach, while my husband chose the salmon with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Both fish dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted fresh, with sauces that paired beautifully. The Brussels sprouts were crispy, flavorful, and addictive. My husband said his mashed potatoes were possibly the creamiest he's ever had. All of the food was outstanding. Dessert options include their 3rd & Cherry cobbler, cheesecake, and crème brûlée. Heads up: desserts are made to order and take about 20 minutes. Translation, order dessert early unless you're prepared to sit there long enough to contemplate life choices. The restaurant and restrooms were clean, which always earns bonus points. Overall, we had a lovely experience at 3rd & Cherry. It's an excellent choice for a special occasion, date night, or anytime you want to feel a little fancy without leaving Middle Georgia. We'll definitely be back.

Finally, the "owner" rushed up to seat us. Pleasant fellow, good personality and pleasant to talk to. Apologized and we moved on. The restaurant is almost cut in half with seating on both sides of door. Plenty of metered parking (free after 8pm). Luckily, we were sat in a cozy booth near the windows but we did have a reservation. The other side was more tables and less date worthy. Bathrooms need a bit of a touch up. We ordered the crab cake and caprese to start. Average crab cake too much filler, this is a pass. The caprese however was amazing. Healthy tomato's and a fresh burrata topped with balsamic. Very good, a definite reorder. For mains, I had the fried red snapper with Parmesan risotto this comes with tostones and a dipping sauce. Large fish, nicely seasoned yet a bit over cooked to the point of being dry. Hubby had the full pork loin chop with a side of mashed potatoes. This came with a fresh chimichura sauce and tostones as well. We were celebrating a birthday (on the reservation) so we ordered the hot chocolate cake. Pretty standard. I really think these are now mass made and ordered through food delivery. It was good but can get in multiple restaurants these days. Good vanilla ice cream. Service, now this is where they easily lose a star. Half hearted, disappearing, not engaged with a touch of attitude. They weren't busy, it wasn't late. We were in great moods. Who knows. While we will visit again when in Macon, we cannot have her again.

Tucked away in an unsuspecting corner of Downtown Macon, this fine dining English-style steakhouse established in 1997, offers an experience that unfolds slowly, from a puzzling entrance to a surprisingly polished dining room... and ultimately to some of the best food I've had in Middle Georgia. ARRIVAL + FIRST IMPRESSIONS Because Downtown Macon was buzzing on this particular Saturday night, my husband and I ended up parking a couple of blocks away and taking the alley the GPS insisted was our route. Let's just say the alley definitely had "first date horror movie" vibes--but the beautifully framed photos lining the walls helped cut the sketch factor a bit. Once inside, we were greeted by a friendly, outgoing staff... and immediately greeted by something else: the cigar smoke. Downtown Grill has a full bar with an impressive oak humidor and a selection of bourbons, wines, and scotches that could easily impress the most seasoned connoisseur. But that also means the bar area is smoky--very smoky. I actually questioned whether we'd wandered into the wrong place until the hostess whisked us to the back dining room, where the ambiance shifted entirely. The dining room is intimate, classic, and much more aligned with "fine dining." Cozy booths, dim lighting, soft background music, truly an escape. And once seated, I didn't smell the cigar smoke at all. Bonus points for the restrooms using cloth napkins for hand-drying, an eco-friendly and elegant touch. We had noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary, but there was no acknowledgment. Not a deal breaker, but definitely unexpected for a fine dining restaurant, especially one that's been around this long. Our server was polished, professional, and consistently attentive. No complaints there. I started with the Elderflower Refresher and my husband with an Old Fashioned, both solid. But the star of the cocktail lineup? The Lavender Margarita. An absolute hit and something I'd go back for alone. For an appetizer, we ordered the Lump Crab Cakes. As a Maryland native, my standards are sky-high. These weren't "lump" crab cakes, but for Middle Georgia they were acceptable. They were flavorful, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the aioli drizzled on top. Then came the French Onion Soup. I'd seen the rave reviews and they were absolutely justified, easily the best I've had in years. Rich, savory, cheesy perfection. We both opted for the special of the night, the Salmon. My husband's came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I chose broccoli and green beans. The verdict? 5 out of 5. The salmon was cooked with precision--flaky, flavorful, expertly seasoned. The veggies were fresh, vibrant, and seasoned beautifully. Truly, this was the best meal I've had in Middle Georgia, hands down. Downtown Grill may not be where I'd choose to celebrate a milestone (the lack of acknowledgment and smoky entrance made sure of that), but it is where I'll go when I want a reliably excellent, well-executed meal. The kitchen is clearly the star of the show, and they delivered an unforgettable dining experience. We'll absolutely be back, maybe not for the anniversary, but definitely for that food.
