They need some quality control here. There were 4 of us out to dinner here on Sunday 11/02 and we all had issues with the food. My medium well steak walked to the table by itself, it was that rare. My mashed potatoes were gritty but with enough salt was ok. Didn't send it back though because another person in our party already had to send her shrimp back because they were so chewy. Don't leave shrimp(or any seafood) under a heat lamp. Another person asked for cheese on the side for her chili and gets a cup of 40% cheese and 60% chopped onion? And by the time they got it right, her chili was cold. And the less said about the bathroom, the better. Urinals that go all the way to the floor are terrible unless you like puddles of piss or splashback on your pants. In that case, this is your place. Won't be going back. Awful read more

Service is pretty on point. I like the manager coming to check in. This is a corporate spot, so my review probably can't change anything. The one night we went, it seemed like the grill was too hot, so the hot station chef was THINKING that the seared steak was too temp, but it was raw inside. Management took the criticism very well and offered to take care of it, but we paid anyways. Beautiful sear, hey! Potato could have used a bit more "loading", but I figured I'd cut the calories for my $5 Budlight! (That's a win these days) Firecracker shrimp was ‼ definitely recommend. Just remember to cut in to your steak first to make sure cooked to your temp. But over all, I do enjoy this location. Catherine is amazing, I owe her more tip money if she's reading this! In what we have come to expect from Texas Roadhouse, we travel a lot & always a good go to when in doubt what we want to eat. We were seated remarkably fast for a busy Friday night, typical crowd for Texas Roadhouse. Our food came in a decent time, our 1/2 cut tea was really good (they found that sweet spot). My food was right on par with most, a little light on the gravy. My wife's steak was a little tough, not on par with what she gets at other Roadhouses. Service was okay, not as friendly & refills took awhile (they were busy), but next table waa never dry (so depends on waiter). We are both Military & love that Texas Roadhouse does a discount, but our waiter was waiting on approval from Manager for so long, wife said skip it, let's go. read more

Was a very good visit to TR. Our server was Morgan, a great young lady who did a fantastic job looking after us. Both of us got a 6oz Sirloin with a baked potato and a baked sweet potato. Always good house dinner salads. I added Grilled Shrimp as a combo on mine. Both steaks cooked perfectly, one medium and one medium well. TR is a special place as it is lively there. Let me start by saying my server Damion was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and very kind. I ordered the NY Strip with mushrooms. Broccoli, which is not listed as a side and a baked potato. Everything was tasty, and my steak was cooked, perfect medium. I didn't opt in to Margarita Monday ($3), but maybe I will indulge next time. Visiting Macon for the first time. We decided to find something to eat once we checked into our hotel. We are simple folks so we went for what we know would be good. You can't go wrong at Texas Roadhouse. It was a rainy day and at the time, the restaurant was also the site of a blood drive. The Red Cross trucks were in the parking lot. Ok kool. We were seated Ina. Nice booth by the window. Another plus. The server came to ask us what we wanted to drink. Gave our order. It took us forever to figure out what we wanted to eat. The server kept coming to the table. We could tell she was annoyed somehow. Ok whatever. Eventually we ordered our food. We made the mistake of not ordering alcohol beverages in the beginning. All of a sudden there was a whole production filming a commercial near where we were sitting. They blocked the severs from tending to their tables. It was all so bizarre. I gave this slot 4 stars because of the food but definitely not because of the whole atmosphere. read more

We returned to this location for a quick dinner after having a poor experience the week prior because the wait times were long at other steak houses. We dine at this restaurant frequently, today was the first time I was disappointed. I usually order the 6 oz lunch special steak and NEVER been disappointed, today I was. When ordering, I asked that my baked sweet be brought in a to go box (I always do this as it's too much food) and ordered my steak medium. Usually when brought, the server asks me to cut it to check if it was done as I asked, this time the server put it down and left. The steak was thicker than usual, it was underdone and rare and a little tough. Also the baked sweet was on my plate. Easier to take home when it's wrapped to go. The assistant manager came by to see if our group was okay. I pointed out my steak was undercooked and she took it away but didn't look happy. By the time it was brought back the rest of the group was finished so I took it home. I look forward to a nicely cooked steak, this wasn't it. Our group eats out every Thursday and your restaurant has been a favorite, one we come to frequently as do my husband and I. Service was slower than normal too. Stopped here on our drive home on vacation as we have prior and planned our drive around eating dinner here. Check in was a little hassle, as they were disorganized, but that was relatively minor . We ordered our meal same we eat 90% of time at Texas Roadhouse numerous locations over the years , including this one and our local one. My meal could barely cut it and took 2 bites and it was horrible, my wife''s okay . Mine was dried out , seemed over cooked and or warmed up and basically inedible . I sent it back My wife ate hers slow as we wanted to eat as a family, and it took twice the time for the 2nd one to come as the first and we had a 2 hr drive I told them it took too long and they said do you want to take it home ? . I said not if I was being charged and in a 2 hr drive it would be unwise, especially if I had to pay for it after the first one and the lengthy delay. They didn't apologize ever , no manager , nor the staff , nobody cared . A real bad experience and the fact no one cared , speaks volumes . Texas Roadhouse is ranked number one in chain restaurants and I would rank them very high, overall , but not this one, it ranks very low , at least this experience. We have eaten at other Texas Roadhouse's many many times . This one maybe once or twice prior . We couldn't enjoy a simple meal together during a long drive home on vacation and it made us late going home from a vacation . Had an appt in Macon. Got hungry.. the usual. I picked Texas Roadhouse today. My servers name is Jay cause my initial server Woooo was just helping out. Seemed very nice and likeable for his teamwork ethics. Jay is very responsive, courteous, and attentive. Everything started out fine..got my water, bread/rolls, except for the chili, which was served lukewarm... twice...second time it came off the bill. Jay to the rescue! I like my chili heated appropriately. Guess I'm funny that way. House salad was the usual lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and also egg. Blue cheese dressing. For the entree I chose the 11 oz Sirloin and side of mushrooms. The steak was cooked perfectly and the mushrooms very tasty. All in all...I will be back..with friends. Ask for Jay. First off, this location does not serve the traditional Texas Roadhouse rolls they are so famous for. Their rolls are terrible. The restaurant was very warm and we felt like we were sweating through our dinner. It wasn't pleasant. The restaurant was out of steak skewers( how does that happen when steak was still available to order). And to top it off service was slow. Tonight we ordered food from Texas Roadhouse and we were extremely disappointed. There were so many problems and when we brought our concerns to the restaurant they were extremely dismissive and unconcerned about the issues. 1) The shrimp they gave us was rancid. We called the restaurant to report this issue and they were just like whoops. It almost seemed like they were aware that the shrimp that they were serving was not fresh. I would actively avoid ordering seafood from this restaurant. This restaurant could give someone a foodborne illness so they should fix this issue. 2) There was a bug in the salad. I'm from Texas, so I had been avoiding this chain out of some sort of snobbery. However, my wife is from Wisconsin, and she loves it hear and forced me to go with her. Well, I'm glad I did. This location, at least, does a really good job from top to bottom. We came a couple times when the pandemic was at its early peaks and they did a great job of managing capacity, cleaning and distancing. It's a bit more relaxed now, but the staff still wears masks, even though they don't enforce it from the patrons that enter. (You can't really eat with a mask, so I get that). We normally get a booth, so the distancing isn't an issue, but it's usually pretty packed when we go. The service is always awesome. The waitstaff is attentive, but not overbearing. Our last waitress was super nice, and actually helped my wife arrange donations for a military function. This Texas Roadhouse is VERY supportive of Veterans and they proudly display it. The price is nice for the quality. We have never had a bad experience with the food, and I consider myself a finnicky eater. I normally order dishes that I am familiar with so I know what they should taste like lol. Texas Roadhouse is consistently good, and the chef came out of the kitchen to check on my wife's steak and ask her to cut into it to make sure it was to her liking. I am always too full for dessert, so I don't have a comment for that. I recommend this location. Try to plan around peak hours if possible. They get pretty busy since they are attached to a major shopping center. read more

Our waitress was very fast and attentive the whole dining experience. The rolls were fantastic as usual. The ribs were dryyyyyy & the side of fries was covered in grease(not in the good way) My husband ordered bbq chicken sandwich and he said it wasn't great. My youngest got the chicken tenders (which was hard and dry). My oldest got the mini hamburgers and the bread and the hamburger was hard. Its located on the outskirts of the Shoppes at river crossing. I've been here several times and this place is ALWAYS packed! The waiting area fills up quickly, but there's also a few benches outside to wait as well. Also, they will not seat you until your entire party is present! As a vegetarian Texas roadhouse and the sorts are not may favorite places to go. There are very limited vegetarian options and I somehow end up filling up on rolls. :insert crying emoji: They have a country dinner plate which is basically where you pick four sides, one of which can be a salad. Their sweet potatoes are usually really good but I decided to give their rice a try this time, unfortunately I wasn't a fan. I'm not sure how but their broccoli and carrots are always cooked to a buttery perfection. Also, please be aware if you are a vegetarian, the green beans are not a good choice as they have bacon in them. From the bar I tried the Jamaican Cowboy and it was so good! I would probably add a shooter to it next time though. The service was so so, we felt rushed. Always Excellent food at Texas Roadhouse in Macon, GA. I am even more impressed with the quality of service from all employees. January 25, a Saturday--the place was PACKED! My table of three was seated quickly and the food service was equally quick but we were not felt rushed to gobble our food down and leave. Food was wonderful as always but what made our time out the most enjoyable was our server Lailah. She was friendly, professional, and the sweetest kid on the planet. No one wants to be served by a grouch, right? Lailah's personality, as well as her commitment to great service made our dining time even more relaxed and delightful. I've NEVER had bad service at this Texas Roadhouse in Macon, GA but Lailah set the bar even higher. Thank You Texas Roadhouse and Thank You especially Lailah. We arrived at about 715 on a Sunday night. Normally always have great food at Texas roadhouse. This was our first time at the Macon location. My husband ordered the herb crusted chicken with sweet potato and it came out and the chicken was so small and so burnt and the sweet potato was super burnt. I suppose I should be grateful to this restaurant for breaking me of my Texas Roadhouse habit, especially since Macon is full of great, locally owned places where you can get a better meal for less money. I used to like a Texas Roadhouse because you could get a good meal for a decent price, and the rolls were amazing. But this location just never seems to get it right. I got take out from here three times and every time something big was wrong: they forgot part of my entree, or my dessert, or one time I ordered for two and they completely forgot the second bag of food. And it's not cheap to eat here either! Luckily I have found much better options around town now so I won't be back, but it was a bummer to finally admit to myself that something that was a reliable favorite can't be in the rotation anymore. Do not go to Texas Roadhouse as I did recently in a party of five. All of my food was subpar. Spend your money at Outback. It is much better quality. To begin, the Cactus Blossom's petals are smaller than Outback's. The breading has no flavor. The petals are grossly greasy. The Cajun sauce is good. My salad was room temperature and the vegetables were limp. The secret to Outback's tossed salad is that they are perfectly chilled and fresh. The baked potato was forgettable. And finally, the presentation of the ribeye steak was nasty. It was a piece of thin meat, topped with an oily mess of very thinly sliced onion and tiny mushroom pieces. It was so unappetizing I was a bit shocked as I looked at the plate. The steak was barely chewable. Even the large steak knife could not cut through the sinew. I ate less than 1/3 of my dinner and threw the rest away. The server did not remove any of the dirty appetizer plates or empty glasses until requested. No one commented on their meals. Oh! It was a Monday and the $5 margaritas were good. What a waste of my $145.00. Never again. read more
