Maker's Mark Whisky Sour was outstanding! Not too much ice with a nice punch of Maker's that plays well with the sour. Couple cherries to top it off and I was ready for another! The meal plan to ight is the Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer which arrived promptly. 15 shrimp deep fried and tossed in Boom Boom Dunner is a shout out to the Shrimp Gumbo and a Shrimp Po Boy with another Sour drink. Too bad the second was smaller than the first. Lost a star here people. Waitress did not know anything about the Gumbos so no advice there. Decided to take my chances anyway.pointed this out and was brushed off so I kept the glass! (Approved by the way). Po Boy was delivered deconstructed which was interesting. 4 large shrimp dressed with maters and lettuce, mayo missing. Would liked to have had seasoned shrimp but thats a preference. Gumbo was goodish at best. Needed a bit more rice and some Cajun seasonings. Not sure about the waitstaff here though. Greeter was too busy in the tablet to know I was here but made her way to finally get me a table. Waitress was locked to the cross body purse and didn't offer any help on the menu choices. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Juicy Seafood. The shrimp was terrible, rubbery on the outside, mushy on the inside, and so overcooked it barely tasted fresh anymore. Instead of being juicy and tender like shrimp should be, it had a weird soft texture that was hard to even enjoy. I called and was told my order would be remade, but what i received back as a remake was just the same overcooked shrimp reheated. It came back with an even worse texture and tasted like it had been sitting too long. I've never had a problem here until now, which makes it even more disappointing. This was a waste of money, time, and gas. Very frustrating experience. read more

This place is a joke. Walked in no hostess, they were hanging out at the bar. The to go counter had to go get them to seat me. After being seated I waited 10 mins and nobody came to take my drink order of anything. So I walked out. On my way out saw throw up just outside the door. Glad I didn't stay as that could have been my fate. read more

I'm leaving a two-star review, purely because GrubHub manipulated my review, and gave them five stars when it's not a five star experience. So until these business managers and owners get with grubhub, and have them fix the problem of customers essentially forced to lie and make a dishonest higher rating than what is actually earned, I will continue to dock stars from businesses Obviously I didn't go inside the place so I don't know what it looks like on the inside, I don't know if it's clean, I know nothing about it. I ordered two catfish 4 fried shrimp plate. It's definitely not five star food, and I've had better from little hole in the walls around Jackson. However the food and portion was decent for what I paid. They even sent me a ton of extra lemon just like I requested. Most restaurants ignore that kind of little detail. But one thing they did forget, were my utensils and napkins. I'm sorry disappointed that the tartar sauce is packaged. The catfish pieces weren't as big and fat as I was expecting, but it's fine. If I'm able to edit my GrubHub review, I'll add another star but for right now it's going to stay at 2 because that's what I think they deserve. Better get on the phone and call GrubHub. read more

So you know that I love seafoods, and may be called seafoodie!! This place was my top favorite of all for now. We came here for lunch/dinner and it didn't disappoint us like friends told us. I ate steamed oysters with spicy saucy as appetizers, black clams/shrimp/corn/potatoes as my main dish, oh my it was yummy/ spicy like I asked for, tasty. My friends ate some fried fish ..... But the problem we had was the wait time, like almost an hr, and I like to give ppl a chance to Wow me, which they did. I would suggest that you try and cut down the wait time lower that what you have right now cus not everyone would put up for that. Another, was our drinks was poorly made and watery, am not going to complain about that because we didn't order for a second round. I don't like when bar tenders mess up my drinks. We went here the other night, we were seated right away. I got the pound of shrimp which has 2 FAKE HARD RUBBERY eggs that gave me the impression that they were old. 1 corn and 2 potatoes. I don't eat these places potatoes so the server replaced them with an extra corn. She shouldn't had, the corn was mushy and had this weird chemical smell, one bite and I tossed it in the bucket along with the eggs and the other corn. I also told her to hold the sausage (thank God I couldn't image eating old pork) I got my bag with the house blend/mild. I don't know what it is about Mississippi but this is the second time I've tried a seafood boil spot here and they don't load the bag up with garlic. That's one of the reasons I want the food. It definitely had watered down oil and butter in the bag though. Overall I have a VERY STRONG feeling they're freezing these boils and placing the bags in pots of boiling water to heat them up before serving. They may feel it's a smart move as far as efficiency but it's not such a good move for sustainably. The hubs got calamari, oysters (some of the smallest I've ever seen) which he was disgusted by and catfish. He was so disappointed that he said he should've went to Wendy's. Once the first time customers realized what's happening I can't see them returning. This place is for people that don't know good quality food. They need to shut it down. read more

Ate their last night and the food was fabulous. Good service great atmosphere. My wife got an order that had crag legs,shrimp, craw dad's eggs and potatoes. She love it and it was so much food I tried to help her but I was full from the best fried oysters I've had in a long time. The calamari is very good also. read more

Always looking for good food and cold beer.. Found it.. this is the second time trying the food here. The first time, I had blue crab, dungeon crab and boiled shrimp.. Everything cooked to perfection.. Draft Bud Light is only $3.50 for 16oz. Cannot beat that price.. This time I had a dozen raw oysters and the fried catfish basket.. oh yeah, and a few cold ones.. Usually I wait until I've left the restaurant before I write an unfavorable review. Not this time. This restaurant is so bad, I'm writing it from here at my table, in front of a basket of badly cooked French Fries. From the moment you walk in and see the deer-in-the-headlights expressions on the staff, you know something is up. Then you get to your table, order something, and notice that there are THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSUC PLAYING SIMULTANEOUSLY, creating a cacophony similar to audio torture. Then the food arrives. I have never had clam chowder so thin it seemed like warmed-up milk, but now I have. It was barely warmer than lukewarm, which was also a new thing for me. The fried oysters were tiny, and the fries were not as good as what you might expect in an ordinary Fast Food joint. No tableware was brought to the table, except a teaspoon for consuming the chowder. I always say "corporate food can't get any worse," and yet it continues to get worse and worse, while going up in price. read more

My husband and I decided to visit this Pearl location for the first time this evening. Not a good idea. After the hostess sat us, we had to remind her after ten minutes that we had not seen a waiter. So, we finally got a waiter; Liz. We ordered the New England Clam Chowder; it was awful- not chowder, was very runny and tasted like VINEGAR. PITIFUL! Liz said that she would delete it off the ticket, but she forgot. Then her manager would not allow her to adjust the ticket, so she had to give us that amount back out of her pocket. INAPPROPRIATE. Report to DOL wage and hour? We also ordered the shrimp po-boys. They were good which was the only thing that justified the stars. Otherwise, we all knew that this location used to be a Lone Star restaurant, because the Lone Star name was still on the wall along with all the cowboy pictures. WEIRD and TACKY! Also - note that the hostess' and many of the staff decided to have a "Pow wow" and share their cell phones while standing around the hostess stand. OVERALL it was a bad experience. read more

After I posted about Mighty Crab yesterday, people were asking me if Juicy Seafood was the same place with a different name. The pic below is 1lb of crab legs, 1lb of shrimp, 12 piece breaded chicken wings lemon pepper and thai chili, and hushpuppies. They had several sauces you can pick from, I chose the Juicy sauce medium spicy, same name as Mighty Crabs (all of the sauce combo). Food came out within 15mins, decore is also very similar. It's the same sauce my server told me it's owned by the same family. Regular menu items are slightly cheaper than the Jackson location, the seafood is a few dollars more per pound at this location, BUT they are doing a special right now until October 1st, if you spend more than $30, you get 30% back through a gift certificate. So if you spend $30 you get $9 for your next visit, so still a win! It's a big place, you will get seated fairly quickly. They open 7 day's a week, and stay open late too! On Sundays they are open until 930pm read more

We are from out of state and we are staying nearby. After a quick trip to Sams, we stopped for dinner. Big mistake! Hostess that seated us said something inaudible and headed to a table. We assumed we were suppose to follow, and she put menus on a table and walked away. The service only got worse from there. Our server was lethargic. We had to correct her with our order twice and then had her repeat it back. It was wrong when we got it ands It was missing a side dish- on the cob. I asked her about it and she said she did not realize I had ordered it and then asked what seasoning I wanted on it?? Then she said they could not do it. I replaced with a side salad, but they only have ranch and Caesar dressing (not her fault, if true). Ordered shrimp gumbo. It was watery and flavorless. The Louisiana hot sauce I had to put on it was the only discernible flavor. read more

Picked up 2 clam cowders to go. They would not accept a credit card via phone and said they would start to prepare until we arrived. We returned to our hotel with the soup. It was so bad we wondered if it was made with bad milk. I have never had a cowder that was so sour you could not eat. I have never written a review good or bad but felt compelled to do so. It's good. I feel like they don't give you enough food for the price (even if it is by "pounds") but I love the idea of building your own seafood boil bags. The juicy seasoning that's a combination of all three is my favorite thing to add & I like it real spicy. I wish I could give 0 stars. My boyfriend and I walked in and immediately the two hostesses, one brunette with braces and one horribly dyed blonde hair girl, did not even acknowledge us. She walked us to our table and just threw the menus on the table. Did not say anything else. Then, we waited for about 15 minutes waiting for our waitress to come introduce herself and take our drink order. Nothing. No one ever came to our table ever. We just walked out. Fish tastes like dirt and mud and is absolutely disgusting. It leaves an awful aftertaste and is nauseating. It's worse than what we labeled as 'mudcat' from the old days cafeteria school food. Onion ring dough is so thick that they aren't cooked thoroughly inside. They taste fine but aren't done. Waitress was very polite while ordering but didn't care that the food was unacceptable. Manager doesn't care either. All she can say is uh-huh. Just go somewhere else. There are plenty of other places in Pearl to eat at where food is decent. read more

Extremely chewy with no flavor. We couldn't even finish them they were so bad. There weren't many people there, we should have taken that as the first red flag. Coming from Las Vegas, the hospitality capital of the United States. When we arrived, the hostess was standing there on her phone. It was early (3pm), so the restaurant was not crowded. I came in first and told her that we had four people. The rest of my family was outside taking pictures. She proceeded to leave and look for a table. She didn't say anything to me so I didn't know if I was supposed to follow or not. I didn't. But it took her a few minutes to walk from one side of the restaurant to the other looking for a table. I was really confused because there were at least 12 empty tables, and since she was standing doing nothing when I came in, shouldn't she have been getting ready for the next guests to come in and expecting to have to seat them somewhere??? The restaurant is large and dark. Old license plates on the wall. Large wooden bar in the middle. 3 of us got the No. 5. -Half pound of 2 meats/seafood, includes 1/2 lb of snow crab, 1 boiled egg, 1 potato, 1 corn cob and ramen. I have never had ramen in my seafood boil bag but it was good. I got the garlic with no spice. It tasted well seasoned on the crab, shrimp and sausage. But the ramen soaking down in the bag was really salty. It was a lot of food for the price. ($29) I got a whiskey sour which tasted good but the glass was really small. The waitress was sweet and attentive. One of us got a fried talapia plate. It was tasty but a little too oily. All in all it was a good experience.
