It is on a side street just off of a busy road and not far off of Interstate 20 in Pearl, Mississippi. The prices are good and while the ambiance is pretty much nothing even remotely close to fancy, there is a particular charm in sitting in a room with stark cinder lock walls with an atrocious shade of what can best be described as a red clay type of brown watching a television that definitely seen better days and dining on some great fried fish. I opted to go with the three piece catfish filets along with french fries and fried okra. I took a seat and while away my time watching the end of a "Happy Days" episode and the start of a "M*A*S*H" episode on MeTV. Eventually my name was called and I Went and got my Styrofoam container of fried goodness. Let me state that there is some pretty amazing food here. The catfish was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of breading. It was only enhanced by some hot sauce and tartar sauce. While the french fries could have used a bit more salt, they were expertly prepared. The fried okra was also well prepared. We need these places in our communities. A place where we can go for great food at a great price point.
