We had lunch on Sunday and this place pretty busy! They have small parking lot for the costumers. The usher greet us and found an available spot pretty quick but we had to clean the table again since she didn't clean it well from the previous costumer which was not a big deal. Our server was pretty informative with the menu and quite fast! The noise level was pretty moderate and they also have outdoor seating. The inside looks very casual and I consider this as a hippie joint type of resto. I had the mushroom mex hasbrown and it was really good . My kids and hubs had the buzzed biscuit, french toast , and the biscuits and gravy with extra 2 scramble eggs on top. They all taste really good. One thing I hope they can improve with the biscuit and sausage gravy is to add more gravy because the biscuits were pretty generous but not enough gravy ratio to them. The orange juice and iced coffee pretty on point for us. I think this place is so far the best breakfast/brunch/lunch place in North Charleston!

I met a friend for lunch and we sat outside which was so nice! No wait at all on a Friday in May, but it quickly filled in. We both had a hard time choosing what to order. They serve both breakfast and lunch all day. I loved the energy salad, it was filling and light and had great flavor. We also split a donut which I highly recommend!

Decided to give this spot another try .... Day after the wedding the in laws wanted brunch .. The wait wasn't bad because it was a beautiful day but parking whew lol ... today I went with the Biscuits and Shroom Gravy ... I added a sunny side up egg and the sweet tea fried chicken .. I must say I'm glad I gave this place another chance ... my meal was awesome... my biscuits were fresh and that mushroom gravy was the perfect pairing .. my egg was cooked to perfecting and exceeded expectation ... And last but not least the sweet t fried chicken was very moist and fresh. My entire meal came out hot so that added a plus to the overall meal... My only gripe was that I never knew the servers name. she wasn't rude but it's just common courtesy. until next time

Went for breakfast and were able to be seated right away (we did not make reservations). Our waitress recommended the Mexican Hash (so naturally I got that) and my friend got the Huevos Rancheros. Both were good but I enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros a bit more. The salsa that came with the Mexican hash was delectable though. Coffee is self serve and unlimited. Grapefruit juice is not refillable.

Overall my experience at The Junction Kitchen was very positive. The atmosphere is casual, kitschy and cute with a self-serve coffee bar and fun cutlery and glass-wear that give you an "elevated breakfast at mom's house" feel. Our server was also efficient, but I will note that he was of more of a "get things done" mindset than a guy who wanted to linger and chat, thought that is to be expected during a busy Saturday brunch rush. My few complaints mostly surround the food, on my hash I ordered the avocado for an extra charge of $1.25 with that I'm expecting to get at least half an avocado, but I instead got a very small scoop which I was a little disappointed with. They also were skimpy with the avocado on my dads avocado toast, and I feel if you're spending $11 on a single slice of toast where avocado is the star of the dish you shouldn't leave your customers wanting more. Lastly, the biscuits in the biscuits and gravy, while fluffy and flavorful, had a severe lacking of sausage gravy. I feel If you're going to have dense, cakey biscuits, you may need to be a little bit more generous with the gravy to compensate without charging extra; simply for the integrity of the dish as a stand-alone. As for morning cocktails, they were well crafted, but a little heavy handed with the mixers. However like stated previously, everything tasted great overall, and my mom's French toast and fried chicken were definitely a standout dish. I suppose my only problem with The Junction Kitchen was the nagging realization of how much you're being nickled and dimed by the establishment. Still a lovely brunch despite my hang-ups, and I'd like to come back another time to try their dinner menu.

Gluten free French toast and chicken

Great Brunch Spot with Gluten-Free Options! Our group of five made a spontaneous decision to stop by The Junction for brunch while most of our family went on a historic tour or headed to the beach--and it ended up being a great call. Three of us ordered the French toast and fried chicken (so good!), and I really appreciated that they offered a gluten-free bread option--it's been hard to find gluten-free choices elsewhere in Charleston, so this was a big win. The other two in our group had hash browns, eggs, and turkey sausage, and everyone was happy with their meals. Portion sizes were generous and everything was full of flavor. We also shared three pitchers of mango peach mimosas--delicious and super refreshing! Our server was attentive, friendly, and answered all of our questions without missing a beat. On top of that, the prices were really affordable for the quality and quantity of food we received. If you're looking for a laid-back, satisfying brunch spot in Charleston--especially if you need gluten-free options--we definitely recommend stopping by The Junction. Great food, great service, and a relaxed vibe.

This is definitely a place to try if you're in North Charleston. The food is made fresh daily and I love the option to sit inside or outside. It feels more homey and the spacing inside fits about maybe 40-60 people (I think). But it's still worth going to. I went with some friends and they all loved it. There's a bar inside and they have a coffee station for you pick a mug and make your own coffee. I love it! Go check it out!

We had high hopes going into experiencing brunch at The Junction Kitchen. The quaint, local eatery has the charm and indoor and outdoor seating ambiance to be a cool spot for eats. However, the slow and delayed service from the kitchen, the disappointing and overcooked donuts, and the less than great main dishes led to a less than desired experience. We waited about 20 minutes starting at 1:20 the afternoon, which I didn't mind since all the tables were filled with patrons. Once we were seated and gave our order, however, we waited over an hour for our dishes, with the donut that was supposed to arrive early on not arriving until a few minutes for the rest of our order. I am not sure what was happening in the kitchen but we went a while in between first receiving our drinks. The lull time was a lot compounded by the fact more tables were empty after the 2 pm mark. There was no iced coffee or ability to make it, but they did have canned cold brew, which I did enjoy a couple of those. My wife enjoyed her cocktail. But we did notice even a delay from our server in ensuring we had drinks and needed. I thought the chocolate mocha donut would be good. But the long wait to just get the donut was frustrating enough before trying it and discovering it was overcooked and burned. I was shocked it was as hard and burned tasting as it was. Had I not been hungry, I would have sent it back. But having not had anything to eat at that point all day, I found myself eating the burned donut anyway. When we finally received our main dishes, I was disappointed with the chicken and French toast. The chicken fingers tasted soggy and quite bland. While the French was good with the bourbon butter and maple syrup, the dish walls have been better without the chicken. Call it an off day by the kitchen or just bad luck. But still, I wasn't expecting a let down experience when I had heard more than a few good words about this place for breakfast and brunch.

    The Mexican Hash

Food was a 2/10 the Mexican hash was the most tasteless and bland plate I've ever had. My wife finished my plate dumped a good bit of hot sauce on it to taste like something.

Wanted to come here since it's a quick walk from our rental house. Stopped in, placed it to go order of the Mexican Hash (no butter or cheese; they were able to modify with ease) and side of Coffee Rubbed Bacon. Lots of great flavor and very filling. Cute venue, quite busy, nice staff.

First time back to Junction in a while. I have to mentally prepare for the wait unless solo or an off-day. Love seeing a packed house, however, parking and long wait is still the biggest issue here. Presentation and flavors were great! I enjoyed a seat at the bar. However, it was very loud so I opted for earbuds to tune out the crowds. Highly recommend visiting solo or a week day. Parking is tricky, there is addition parking near Buist and Spruill just a short walk down the road.

    Buzzed Doughnut with cheesy Hashbrowns

I really wanted to give higher stars but the food was just OK for me. There was no wow factor and nothing stood out to give it more than 3 . I ordered the buzzed donut & sora sunrise mocktail. The mocktail was good, but the donut was hard & overcooked imo. I asked my egg be medium instead of over-easy but it was still really runny & the mocha dip didn't really go with the flavor profile. Maybe it was because my donut was overcooked? My brunch partners both ordered the chicken and French toast. Neither used the butter. Both enjoyed their French toast but friend found one piece of chicken that was weird. Possibly undercooked. We got there at peak brunch time on a Sunday and had to wait approximately 20 mins which wasn't bad and less time than we were quoted. Our waiter was prompt & kind. The inside is small & compact. I felt a bit uncomfortable with how close our table was to the hostess stand, bar & other high top table. There is 1 unisex bathroom in the front close to tables. The back of the restaurant seems a bit more spacious but not by much. Would I come here again? Most likely not. There's not much on their menu and I wasn't wowed by what I ordered.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I truly enjoyed this spot over the weekend with my man. The French toast was delicious. I tried the vegan bacon and it did not disappoint. My man tries the shrimp and grits. It was so flavorful, I mean you cannot go wrong here. I love how you choose your own coffee mug and the coffee is great too. Service was prompt and friendly. It was clean and laid back.

I went with the chicken and waffles, and it was loaded with flavor--crispy fried chicken breasts, a Belgian waffle, chunks of bacon, and a blueberry compote on the side. The whole plate was enormous; I definitely didn't finish it. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fish platter with French fries, and it was equally generous in size. We also started with the grit fritters as an appetizer, and they were fantastic--crispy on the outside and a nice surprise inside. Overall, the food was really on point with big, satisfying portions.
