This is a hidden gem and my new go to for banh mi sandwiches, viet iced coffee and boba teas. Banh Mi 102 is conveniently located on Bandera Rd and features a drive thru option for those that don't want to come inside - or an online order option if you want to just pop in and pop right back out. It's a simple menu with 8 Banh mi sandwiches & lots of drinks. Off menu, you can find 3 more sandwich options, 2 bowl options with rice vs baguette, and 3 more drinks. Sandwiches are very reasonably priced at 6.95-9.00 & if you buy 10 sandwiches, you get 1 for free (or buy 5 and get a free tea). The pickled carrots and daikon are tasty and crunchy & the cucumbers, cilantro and jalapeño are fresh. The staff are friendly and efficient. There are several tables to sit at, but this is more of a takeout place. 10/27/25: I LOVED my sandwich (#6 with extra pate) & my Vietnamese ice coffee (tho less ice would be preferred). The teen loved her #3 and the 8 y/o liked her #8 (hold the jalapeños). Both of them liked their cookies & cream smoothies. 11/9/25: came here with husband. I decided to get the #1 today and it didn't disappoint. Husband liked his #3 (add pate) and his sparkling strawberry lemonade. He even said it smelled good. So worth my 25min drive. Every. Time.

We stopped by for a quick lunch before heading out of San Antonio after seeing all the good reviews! The staff was friendly and our order was ready very quickly. We had two grilled pork banh mi and two drinks, viet coffee and Thai tea. I asked for my tea with less sugar and it had excellent flavor. My fiancé loved his sandwich. I liked mine. The bread was fresh, the vegetables were crisp, but I have a strong preference that the meat isn't wet or saucy and Banh Mi 102 puts sauce on their grilled pork. I also saw that they have a special pho coming soon and a fish cake banh mi on the menu. I wish I had seen that one before ordering because it sounded delicious! Maybe if we find ourselves back in the area, I'll try it next time!

Needed a quick bite for lunch, and this place is perfect. They have a drive-thru window, so you don't even need to get out of the car to order. I don't normally eat Banh Mi; I usually don't crave it, but I decided to give this place a try and step out of my normal lunch routine. I got the grilled pork Banh Mi based on other people's reviews, and they were right, it's good! The meat is very flavorful, and the veggies added a nice crunchy freshness to the sandwich. The bread was soft with just the right amount of crispiness. It was so easy to bite! The sauce that came in the sandwich was good too, not too much. The jalapenos added a nice kick to the dish. Overall, a very well-balanced sandwich. They do not skimp out on the meat. I do wish it had a bit more veggies. So, if you like veggies, ask for extra! This place is also a boba shop that offers a variety of teas and coffees. To drink, I ordered a Lychee Green Tea. It was refreshing, and I like that they add pieces (or whole pieces) of lychee fruit to the drink.

I've been wanting to try this spot since they opened! And luckily, I discovered they deliver to me, so I ordered two banh mis--the grilled pork and the special. I liked the grilled pork slightly more because the bread on both were slightly stale and had a harder crust, that the softer grilled pork filling made the complimented the bread better. I'll definitely be coming here to try their other banh mi options and perhaps some of their drinks too!

#1 Special Banh Mi (dac biet) (held the head cheese) $6.95

They have a very simple menu - several Banh Mi sandwiches to choose from, and a couple of bowls (the bowls are pretty much the Banh Mi, minus the bread, but add an egg). The bread - VERY awesome, VERY fresh! We had the #1 Special Banh Mi (Dac Biet) but held the head cheese. The bread was very fresh, but the meat lacked any seasoning. The #8 Grilled Beef (Bo Nuong) was better - the toppings were the same, but the beef held the seasoning better. We also had the Lychee Green Tea - it was VERY tasty and sweet, but very expensive ($5) For those of you that are dining in, it is a very clean, up to date spot, but the seating is limited, and it's on the loud side.

Nice, little cafe to pick up Banh Mi (Viet sandwiches). We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday after getting coffee. It's a very clean restaurant and wasn't busy at all. Didn't take too long to get our order, but we didn't order drinks this time. I always order grilled pork banh mis because I'm not a big fan of pate. The pork was flavorful and tender! The bread was a bit thick/hard, but that's somewhat expected with this type of sandwich. I'd come by again if I'm in the area! They also have a drive thru, so I might try that next time.

Grilled pork bahn mi

As an Asian who has lived in San Antonio since 2005, I've been waiting so long for us to get a good bahn mi restaurant like the ones in Houston, Austin and Dallas and finally, I found it. The menu here is limited, which is fine because I want them to focus on bahn mi's, which they do. I love that the bread is soft but still has that nice crunchy texture bahn mi's are known for. And they use both pickled daikon and carrots, which should be the standard but many places in San Antonio only put in carrots. I ordered the grilled pork bahn mi and it was so good that I went back the next day and had another one. I live on the other side of town and it takes me 30 minutes, but I still made the drive. That's how good it was.

I ordered the grilled pork sandwich without cilantro and jalapeño peppers. Like the other reviews said, the bread was freshly made and came out hot. The interior was really clean and had good vibes. It cost around $8. I would say it's worth a try and it tastes pretty good! Only reason why it isn't a 5 star is that I wish that they added more mayo and pickled radish.

Loved the there was a drive thru! This was also my first time trying Banh Mi. It was very flavorful. I ordered the grilled beef banh mi and a lychee green tea with boba. Service was very fast. I will be returning.

The best part is they have a drive thru window; the sandwiches and boba teas come out pretty fast! They use fresh, high quality ingredients. I like that their packaging is clearly labeled. Service is friendly and they make sure to repeat your order before they put it in. I highly recommend the special and the egg banh mis!

I was so excited to find this place and have been searching for a Vietnamese sandwich shop in San Antonio for a while. It tasted really authentic and delicious. I tried the grilled pork and it did not disappoint. Also got the grilled beef, did not get a picture and already finished them. The drinks my new looks fabulous and iced Vietnamese coffee is the way to go. I did request for less sugar and it was perfect. The place is very spacious and clean. I can't wait to go back and try the classic and other sandwiches. I think the prices were fair, slightly higher, but worth it. It is quick service however they were very efficient. Also, had to note that the to go packaging is fantastic and neat.

Very delicious Banh Mi. Nice and clean shop with great food. Baguette was perfect and the sandwich was filled with fresh and fragrant vegetable. So good I had to get a second. Counter service with a smile. Give them a try. Pho is coming!

After telling the waiter my day was going good he noticed me fighting for my life, head down on the table, and made a point to ask if I was okay again to which I admitted having a massive headache. He brought extra water and suggested soda to relieve the headache and later brought small lollipops. After my tea, pho, and candy, I felt a lot better. Not the first time I received above and beyond customer service experience here and certainly won't be the last. Thank you Peter!

I arrived around 2 PM, and the restaurant was mostly empty. The restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. Service was prompt and friendly, although attentiveness tapered off once the meal was served. It seemed like the staff had shifted their focus toward preparing for the evening dinner crowd. After reading several recommendations, I ordered the Saigon Special since it included grilled pork, chicken, shrimp, and a Vietnamese egg roll. It seemed like a great way to sample several of their specialties. I also started with the fresh Vietnamese spring rolls. The spring rolls were enormous and easily large enough to share. The Saigon Special was equally generous, with a substantial portion of vermicelli noodles underneath the grilled meats. Everything tasted fresh, and each protein was cooked well, but none of the individual components really stood out. The meal leaned more toward generous portions and good value than bold or memorable. Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch with friendly service and excellent portion sizes. While I wasn't blown away by the flavors, I appreciated the freshness and value. I'd definitely come back for the pho, which I remember having a flavorful broth and a generous portion of meat on my previous visit. With several good Vietnamese restaurants in the area, though, I'll probably continue trying other spots before making this one a regular stop.

Once we got sat we placed our orders and had food in front of us in 15ish minutes? It was great. The wings were delicious, you could throw the sauce on a tire and I'd eat it. The bowls were so refreshing and delicious and the pho was perfect. I can't wait to go back! I am afraid that I must change my review of Pho Kim Long. I am sad to do so because this was one of…read moremy favorite local restaurants for over a decade. However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.
