This was, hands down, one of the best dinners I've had in a really long time... and that's saying a lot because I only got a cocktail and the salmon charcuterie board!!?! Every bite was top notch. The creative cocktail was sweet and fancy, the fish cooked perfectly, and the blend of flavors was unique and surprising in a way that I won't soon forget. Combined with our stunning view of the water from the patio and gentle piano music drifting out of the doors... the most perfect date night in Homer I could have dreamed up. Five stars! read more

Stopped in to try this new place in Homer while visiting family. It's less than 1 hour later and we are now sitting at another restaurant hungry after spending $155 on two drinks, 2 appetizers, and a shareable entree. Dumplings were underwhelming. Not much flavor unless you bathed them in the dipping sauce. The dumpling wrappers were cooked unevenly with some edges raw and others hard and crunchy. The $100 crab wok entree was disappointing. The flavor was actually good but portion size was small and and the $2 charge for butter was insulting. When we asked our waitress for wipes (as our hands were covered in butter and juice) we were told "I know...we should have them....but we just tell people to go wash their hands in the bathroom". Recognizing how absurd that was, she came back with dampened napkins which was a nice gesture. Overall, I'm not sure who this restaurant is trying to appease. It's one of those places where you keep scanning the Menu looking for something to jump out and in the end settle on items. Unfortunately, the items we settled on were average, at best. We overheard the table behind us ask if they could just order fish and chips, which the chef agreed to make. I'm not sure this place will be around in another year if they don't listen to their customers and the market they are serving. read more

Amazing and unique dishes, loved the fish and chips but the prawns over grits was the winner of the night! It's a seafood/southern charm/Asian fusion kind of vibe. And the cocktail menu...WOW! I want to move to Homer so I can eat here every day! read more

Get a rezzy the place gets busy, order yourself a lovely cocktail- we had a Penicillin and a Bramblin' Man (uh huh sing it with me) garnished with fresh blackberries. The food? Yes please. The staff is super friendly, the music was great and the food awesome. Had the burger and dumplings. Burger was awesome... clearly high quality smokey meats churned in house with crispy cheese and choice veg. The dumplings were tasty and texture forward. Wow! Awesome food near ocean front lodge. Has a great view. Great fusion menus with seafood and some Asian dishes. Had shrimp dumplings, oysters and steamed salmon. Very fresh and savory with flowers for added decor. Loved homemade yuzu sauce, not too salty and great with red oil sauce they had. Appreciated friendly service as well. Love this place. read more

Had dinner on 9/24/2022. Five adults in our party. Two ordered the en papillote rockfish (OMG, so good!), two ordered bao buns (one chicken, one pork belly), and one ordered shrimp dumplings. Four peeps got the smoked potato for the side, but I got the seaweed salad - I could eat it every day! Everything was simply aaaaaamazing! Everything was perfectly and beautifully prepared. The service was impeccable. Can't wait to visit Homer again and eat at The Green Can again! read more

This is a place with great food and drinks and the unusual Homer experience of taking reservations and being open Mondays and Tuesdays. Very fun atmosphere as well. I would certainly go there again. Let me stress that I'm not a fan just because of the availability--this is a nicely run business. read more

Decent shu mais. Enchilada special was good. Good fries. Nice service. But the overpriced burger was incredibly over cooked. Very dry meat. Kind of threw off the meal. If you are gonna charge $22 for a gourmet burger, you should actually make it edible. read more

We had one of the best meals on our alaskan trip. From the cocktails to the desserts everything we had were amazing. The cocktail 'all that bitters is gold' was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. We also really enjoyed the crab, steak & bone marrow, and the baked Brie entrees.
