I took the high road complimented his tattoo. It seemed to go better, but he was really standoffish and just almost openly. Hostile for no reason. I still left a tip. The other guy had a lot of hip pain. I did have a really nice visit on April 7Th. That server that day was really into the music. There was two Australian guys at the counter. We had a blast but lately the place is just a dump. The side room is just completely a mess. Needs to get blown out with a blower. Nobody's wiping the tables down the grouchy condescending server was a huge turn off. The dreamland spaceport 9% that I had was way better in April now it just tasted really subpar. Stale even. I just slammed it down and got another beer reverse funnel was way more crisp and delicious. Come to think of it the last couple visits I had at the palace or barrels in Petaluma wasn't that great either. The staff just doesn't really care. On this trip to Vintage Oak Shopping Center in Novato, I searched for nearby breweries, and Indian Valley Brewery popped up. If there were anything called a nano-brewery, Indian Valley Brewery would be it! They are a tiny brewery with three brewing barrels, yet they produce delicious beer! They currently offer a limited selection of brews, no more than ten, if I am not mistaken. Their focus seems to be on IPAs. I tried a flight and decided their Hazy Blonde IPA was my favorite! Their taproom is small but cozy, and they have outside seating available in the back. The bartenders are all nice and willing to take their time to explain what each brew is like. If you do not feel like a beer during your visit, try their Kombucha, it is delicious. They do not serve any food, but on the day of our first visit, there was a food truck parked in front of the brewery that served delicious seafood.

Before grabbing our late lunch, we wanted to try a local brewery, and Adobe Creek Brewing caught my attention. Adobe Creek Brewing is a newer craft brewery started by Jonathan MacDonald in March 2017. Jonathan was a homebrewer before turning professional. Adobe Creek is known for its tasty, hop-forward beers. At first, they only made small batches for local bars and restaurants. But in 2019, they opened a taproom for the public. The taproom is in a parking lot in Novato's business district. It was a bit tricky to find, but it was worth the effort. The place has a simple and open feel. I asked for a light beer, and the friendly staff member gave me a few options. I chose a clear IPA, though I can't remember the name. It was smooth and flavorful, perfect for a nice day. Since we were hungry, we didn't try more beers, but our samples were so good that I knew I would go back and explore more of their offerings.
