Booked a reservation about a month in advance for Dec 27 for 7 PM for dinner to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We arrived @6:50 and were told we were checked in and our table would be ready right away. After watching 5-7 tables for 2 taken in ahead of us, we asked at the desk if they had missed us - it was now 7:25. They looked very confused and said we were added to their list for a table and would still need to wait a few more minutes. It was clear that they were not doing anything to honour reservations and we were just added to a wait list for a table. At this time we chose to leave, no concern or apology given. The attitude was more oh good, one less table! We drove to another restaurant and had a great dinner there! When I got home, there was an email stating not to arrive on time as they were running behind and to wait in our car - at -20! But no one upon check in mentioned this at all. The email was sent while we were driving to the restaurant - not a time we are usually checking emails! Most likely will not return - costs for dining have increased and I am not about to support a business that does not appreciate our business! In fact we enjoyed the other restaurant so much, we booked it for New Years Eve! read more

My husband decided to surprise me by booking a reservation (via OpenTable) for dinner on the patio. There was a lobster special effective for the entire month of August -- I ordered the 6 oz. strip loin steak with half a lobster and I was in heaven. This was the freshest, sweetest, succulent lobster I've eaten in a while! Also, trust the Keg to cook your steak to perfection -- I asked for medium rare, so I got medium rare. Worst service ever. 12 people including 3 children. After 2 hours we left with no dinner, as half our dinner had been sitting for 45 minutes and the other half had not been started. Our server Brooke lied to us at least 3 times. She was the worst and blamed us. Never going back. read more

Our first time to try this Keg location--and we got patio seating on a 28 deg C evening thanks to our last-minute OpenTable reservation. For Saturday date night, my wife tried the half lobster/half sirloin entree, which she loved; I had a 6 oz sirloin with shrimp, and it was oh so delicious. We chose a bottle of Quail's Gate Rosé, a great accompaniment for our entrees. Our server Machaela was a delight--pleasant, attentive, and efficient. We'll be back! read more

I like The Keg now at Market Mall. Fancy new digs ! Great customer service all round! Ordered a bunch of sharing dishes: 3 corn chowders- reminds me of Tortillia Soup you get in the states. It's like a southwestern style soup with corn, red peppers and black beans and tortilla chips as garnish. Prime Rib sliders - delish! Baked Garlic Shrimp - buttery, cheesy and garlicky! Mixed Sping Mix - huge salad enough to share. Love the dressing. Will be back! read more

So we went to The Keg Market Mall tonight, celebrating two birthdays and an anniversary. Very nice restaurant, we have been there before so had an expectation and I will admit, we weren't disappointed. A comedy of "things" did happen, I cannot lie. I won't go into details, but suffice it to say our server, Abby, was amazing in the face of the situation. I'm fairly certain they were expecting a different response from our party. How they handled everything was nothing short of professional and so very accommodating. Shit happens, we get it. What can you do other than "go with it" and maybe have a little fun at the same time. We have been to this location many times and were always happy with the food and service. Yesterday was a completely different story. The server could not crack a smile or fake any friendliness. Oh well, we thought, it would be a smaller tip but we still are going to have a great night out. Did not happen! Food was mediocre, had to send the soup back to the kitchen, not crunchy but slimy bacon on scallops and not enough seasoning on beef tartar. The mains were brought barely five minutes after the appetizers so we felt rushed. My husband's veggies were overcooked to the point of liquid mass. Instead of mushroom rice I got a twice baked potato. Plus side-steaks were cooked properly and the manager took the soup off the bill. But the night was ruined. So we paid and drove straight to the Keg at Crowfoot (where the experience was completely different.) The prices went up and to pay $170 dollars for a grumpy face server and so-so food is not my idea of the fun night out. Definitely will not be back at this location. One more strange thing...We booked a table in advance and fist the server offered us a smaller area behind the bar-small table and not enough space. Instead we asked for a booth and she moved us to the booth again in the bar area. Could it be the reason of the server being so rude? Did we look ugly ;-)) and not worthy of sitting in the dining ares? Who knows..Bye, Market Mall location! read more

We made reservations for 2 in celebration of a birthday on December 31st, and requested the table in front of the fireplace. We were greeted by their manager Delano who gave my husband a nice birthday card. We both ordered the 10 oz prime rib with the double baked potato. Everything was absolutely delicious. Their assistant manager Emi, came by our table to say happy birthday and offered us a desert. She was very personable and seemed genuinely interested in our birthday celebration. We were presented with the Billy Miner Pie that was light and refreshing. Not to be out hosted by Emi, Delano stopped by to inquire of our birthday experience. We were really treated like VIPs, but Delano, Emi, Chef and other staff were observed during our time visiting other tables. Oh, our waiter Emmett was also top notch. Everyone is a VIP! read more

What a horrible experience. My wife and I entered at 9pm tonight waited for our friends to join us at . Sat at our table for exactly 21 minutes. Servers having hen session standing at bar well. We got up at the 30 min marker and walked out. Told the front girls that we had waited ever since they had ID us. They were a little shocked but very nice. This place was not over busy but steady. Maybe we caught them after a bad rush or something. But how disappointing to come all the way from marda loop for this. I'm now at Earls on crowchild and 53 and within 5 minutes my wife and I had drinks and our orders were taken, I woukd the stuff here is definetly a step up. read more
