One of the braiders tried to give me the address of their other shop to visit until I reminded her there is an African Hair Braiding shop directly across the street. She offered me a chair, blow dried my hair and added oils. 45 minutes later, Christie arrived to braid my hair. My Ghana braids are beautiful. They took less than an hour to complete, they aren't too tight and they are very competitively priced. They also offered to wash my hair beforehand. Although I will never take advantage of that option (I have very thick, very coiled natural hair that I treat very gently) I do appreciate that option. There's a real lack of consistency, communication, and basic consideration for retaining clients, which is especially disappointing when you're paying for a membership that's supposed to encourage loyalty. This isn't about one small issue. It's about the overall way the business operates. Policies and expectations don't feel clear, professionalism is lacking, and there's very little effort put into valuing repeat customers. That's a problem in any service based business, but especially in hair care, where trust and consistency matter. My word of advice to management is simple: be professional and value your customers. I was also told I would be charged extra for detangling -- which I understand -- but if I'm paying more, I expect the service to be completed properly and with attention to detail. Overall, the customer service and styling quality were lacking. I've had much better experiences at other Drybar locations, so I'll be going elsewhere moving forward. This location really needs more skilled stylists and stronger customer service standards.

My appt was at 1 and I did have to wait until 1:30 to get a stylist. Thank goodness, I wasn't in a hurry. I wish I could remember the name of my stylist, but she called my name and went to washing my hair quickly. She was very personable and talked to me along the way which is great. She asked what style I wanted and I never know the name, so I told her waves and made a gesture with my hands of how I want it to look and she knew right away. When I tell you that this blowout lasted me a good 4 days and probably could have went a bit more had I not decided to work out and sweat in that 4th day! I have never had the waves last that long. They usually fall out and I don't know if that's my hair or the products being used, but it was fantastic. Just rang a big comb through it each day and it was just as fabulous as the first day!
