The kenmore has a very good deal for hot dogs and burgers past 10, which is why a group of my friends like to grab a late snack there. However, this last time we visited, the service was atrocious. One of the waiters was very snappy and seemed angry that we were there for the deal. While we were eating, she was back behind the bar and started angrily screaming that she'd been there all day, so loudly that everyone inside stopped to stare. On top of this, a different waiter kept coming up to our table to try to talk to us, interrupting our conversation and making us very uncomfortable. He just stood next to our table and kept asking us questions like where we were from, what school do we go to, etc while we were trying to eat. When he would not leave us alone, I interrupted him and asked for the bill. He then said "Wow, I thought you were cool, I'm gonna go back to the other side of the table" and then proceeds to try to talk to my friends while ignoring my request. When we did finally get the bill, I tipped 18% even though the service was horrible out of courtesy of the good deal that we got. He then had the audacity to approach my friend and say "I thought you guys were cool but your friend only tipped $2", which is just a straight up lie and absolutely inappropriate. The cherry on top of all of this is that these two waiters were slapping each others' asses in front of everyone inside while we were eating. I don't know what is happening at the kenmore, but I really hope they figure it out. read more

The Brussel Sprouts were seriously on point! The service was delightful, attentive and nice. We were there at an off peak time and were 1 of 2 table in the entire place though. The bartender was also the server. Not sure what it's like during peak hours. read more

Pretty solid deal for the food considering how close it is to Newbury. Burger was solid (not great), but I'll definitely be back for lunches. I ordered the smokehouse, no cheese & substituted bbq for the k sauce. Literally the best burger I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. The k fries were a little over seasoned for my taste but they were still great. Chile lime seasoning I think but unconfirmed. Server was great as well. The inside was clean and welcoming. read more

You can find The Kenmore in the old Lower Depths space. Like its predecessor, it's a great place to grab a drink with some friends. Good selection of beers on tap/bottle, and incredibly friendly service. Big plus is that they take credit cards (no more cash only!). Yay! While the beer and company was great, the food left a little to be desired. Fries were incredibly over-salted, and the bottom bun of my Pub Burger was so wet that it was impossible to pick up. Overall though, I'm happy to have another option for drinks in the Kenmore area. Can't wait to see what they plan for brunch! read more

The prices could not be any more unbeatable than at the Kenmore! You get what is equivalent to a sort of ShakeShack type burger (smaller burger) for $3-4 less than you would pay at ShakeShack and without the 'fast-food' ick attached to it. The K sauce is awesome and I have never gotten a meal from there that I did not enjoy. They also have a great selection of cocktails to choose from and the bartenders and waitstaff at the Kenmore are so nice and helpful- it is great to be able to see some of the same friendly faces around when I come in. read more

Super cheap and high quality food! Perfect for nights when I miss the dining hall but don't want to spend too much on food. The burgers taste homemade and never leave me feeling gross. Their fries are also on McDonald's level. Love it here! The service is also incredible! They're always super nice. The ambiance is fun! Empty. One waitress. I had to grab my own menus and wait a while before being approached. Dirty table that hasn't been cleared. Food was slow, and cold. Nachos and hot dog were incredibly salty. This place is the real deal. Great food, engaged waitstaff, plenty of noninvasive sports on the TV's (watch or don't - being a "sports bar" isn't the theme here), and the prices can't be beat. Burgers are all brisket blends. The Smokehouse Burger is amazing -- bbq sauce, coleslaw, friend onion ring, cheddar cheese-- cooked to perfection (don't tell them how to cook it because they know a perfect burger in the kitchen). My co-diner got a sampling of a new wing recipe and her eyes rolled back in here head when she tasted it because it was thaaaaaat good. Heard the dogs are equally amazing. Definitely going back. My boyfriend and I stopped here for a quick bite before a concert. We were looking for a good meal that wouldn't break the bank (speaking as broke college students). We ordered the Smokehouse burger and a side of fries. The burgers were delicious- not the best I've ever had, but really good quality and flavor for the price. Cool place and lives up to the former reviewers comments. Would have nailed it a five star but I ordered two hot dogs, the first being the Kenmore and the second a BBQ. The Kenmore dog rocked! It was perfect with great mustard, peppers, pickles etc and awesome fries as a side. The BBQ came with an onion ring on top which was covered with sauce and hence looked tasty but upon trying it I don't think it was fried. It was cold and not good at all. They changed the menu since I last came here and unfortunately got rid of some of my favourite items, that's the only thing I took off a star for. The food they have now is still great, tastes good and generous portion sizes. The nachos and mac n cheese were great, as were the cheesesteak egg rolls. Underwhelming-their drinks are TINY. Ordered a margarita and it was about the size of a small orange juice glass you get at breakfast at some diner and for 12 bucks you'd think they would be a little more generous. I disagree with Ruth D's assessment. As a lower depths regular since that establishment opened, the staff of the Kenmore has been more than inviting to regulars from the previous establishment. The environment and food/beer selection in my estimation are more in line with the local area than the previous establishment prior to closure. Low-key neighborhood bar with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Felt right at home. Great spot to grab grub and drinks before a game/concert, or to spend a few hours with friends. I CAN'T say enough good things about the Kenmore. Everyone I've interacted with who works there truly truly cares. The specials are always fantastic and the chicken wing lollipops are to DIE for.
