Overall TERRIBLE experience! Initially, sounded great. Great service, helpful, and said phone number captures info for appointment.. My son went in next day and everything changed. First, they gave new key fob. Ok- but key didn't work. The spare that my son used to get into the car no longer worked either?? I had to call from work while my son was there to ensure they needed to reprogram because key was lost.. They said it wasn't in appointment info, and now if the battery dies you can't get into your car either?? They said I have to pay addtl $200+ to get that work done?? .. very frustrating as I called a day earlier and explained situation- only so many situations people go get keys right? So now I have 2 key fobs without use of key- now praying battery never goes out because I won't be able to get in car.. should have gone to dealership as it will end up costing me the same $$ and they were up front without all the fuss.. read more

On Wednesday when I went to start my car the remote key broke off into the ignition. I called a couple of Locksmiths before I called key crew The first couple I called, I didn't appreciate how they handled the call. I did not choose them. Then I spoke to the Key Crew. The person that took my call was friendly Kind patient and knowledgeable. I was under a lot of stress due to this matter. He treated with the respect and understanding that needed. He quoted me a reasonable fair estimate of the repair and the time a technician could get to me. The technician called to alert me he was on his way. Alec was there a half hour before they thought he'd be there, so the job was completed before it was even estimated that he'd be there. I felt he was friendly yet professional and skilled for the task on hand. He actually exceeded my expectations, given that he made me two keys for under what I'd expect to pay at the dealership for one. I came to get a key for my Mazda Miata that the dealership wanted $40 to cut.. when they told me my car was too old (1990) I was stuck with a blank key and a broken Homedepot example. Here comes Tim. Went there to get a key made. Went back home and tried it out and it did not unlock the lock that I got the new key made for. i would put the key in the lock and it would not turn. I went right back to hopefully get the new key replaced. Informed the guy that made my key that it would not unlock the lock that it was for. He looked at the key and said that there was nothing wrong with the key that he made. He said that it was perfect and that it must be the lock that has an issue. I asked him if he could make a new key to replace the last key that he made and he refused. Stating that the first key he made was perfect. He was very adamant that he made a perfect key. He did give me a refund for my key. I drove to Home Depot to get that same key made. Got home and tried the new key from Home Depot and it worked with no issues. read more
