Naw Milwaukee, this is NOT it! The shrimp seemed like it was already cooked --imagine shrimp cocktail thrown in a vat of seasoned butter. The crab was not properly cleaned. Don't get upset with me, BUT it is not an honest review without this last point. This is an asian seafood restaurant, it is NOT upscale restaurant like Two Fish or Low Country in Chicago. The meal was not worth $65 and personally I wouldn't go again even if it were free. Yuck.

Selection of seafood is good. Shrimp was nice size, muscles were good and the snow/king crab legs were meaty. Sauce selection and spice, not so much. The restaurant actually ran out of spices and their Crazy Cajun sauce was underwhelmingly not seasoned ? I know that might leave some readers questioning what the heck does that mean but Crazy Cajun was in no way "crazy". I expected to have some lips smacking flavor on the shell fish and it was way under expectations. Service was friendly but they can still improve. I felt rushed towards certain parts of the night and I waited about a half hr to eat.

I really like this place. The food is good. The Pho is soooooo good. I have been there few times I got a mixed feeling with the service. It's 55/45 on the upward trend. They tend to be busy on weekends and holidays, and after 5pm too. I alps like the design. It's original and and different. I would highly recommend this place. Give it a try. They also have huge crab fishing a sort of aquarium, right when you get in the restaurant. Its cool.

I will never forget that day when I brought my dad and sister from Chicago here in this place. We're from the Philippines and always love the seafoods. Since I moved here in Wisconsin couple years ago I was looking for places and restaurants where I could enjoy and make me feel like I'm home and I found this King Crab Shack. The staffs are very accommodating and very good at customer service. The wait wasn't long. I tell yah, it's worth the wait. Lol we loved it so much. And will go back again.

Got food to go and it hit the spot for the most part. Wasn't spectacular with flavor like in the south, but still good

    Projective seafood tray of doom

I saw someone LAUNCH one of these out of their car window over by the Little Caesar's near Locust street. Unfortunately I was behind them the whole time from the "S***Shack" up until, well, the Little Caesar's near Locust. Some nut job coming out of the aforementioned establishment abruptly cut me off and just so happened to turn onto Oakland when I did. The driver then decided that it would be a marvelously novel idea to CHUCK their (likely $89 worth of seafood) platter at my car. Well, it miraculously missed our car (there goes your NBA career, seafood thrower) and landed by, you guessed it, Little Caesar's. Anyway, I pulled over to see what was thrown at me and that's when I found the tray of seafood. It smelled like something had died, come back to life, and died again, but more painfully this time. Moral of the story: the seafood is anything but fresh and people aren't afraid to use it as an expensive replacement for other general throwing items like a cup of soda or a half eaten burger. This city is slowly becoming classier by the minute!

My wife and I came into this establishment at 8:15pm on 3/10/19 and was told we could not sit to eat. when we looked it up it said they was opened until 10 pm. My wife really want to try this place out being we are from California and have had boiling crab so we proceeded to order are food and two drinks when the shift lead Adam let us know they had a party of ten walk in and they refused service to them as well. I am a manager for a franchisee and I see a lot of different places and if it say 10 pm then we should be able to enjoy are meal and especially if your paying $100 tab. We had to eat are food in the car because we didn't want cold seafood I give one star for service and hope the owner or manager reaches out to me because I fill like it was a waste of time and money.

I thought it was pretty cool that the chain names each location after the city it's in. It's a fun little touch. My first impression was a little disappointing. They were out of quite a few menu items, including fries, bone-in wings, wraps, sandwiches, and Mac and Cheese, and a few other options. For a first visit, it wasn't the best start because I felt like I wasn't really getting the full experience. Since fries were unavailable, I asked if I could substitute extra chicken, but that wasn't an option because my order had already been entered. One of my friends was able to do it since they had asked before checking out, so just something to keep in mind if you're ordering. I ended up getting the 24-piece boneless wings ($24.99) with limited-time Bourbon BBQ, Cajun Voodoo Rub, and the new Sweet Carolina sauces, along with bleu cheese. My friends ordered the chicken tenders. The employee helping us was friendly enough and let me sample the sauces before deciding, which I really appreciated since the staff wasn't very familiar with describing any of the flavor profiles. The Bourbon BBQ was probably my favorite. It had a rich, smoky barbecue flavor with just enough bourbon sweetness to balance it out without tasting overly sugary. The Cajun Voodoo Rub definitely brought the heat. It starts with a little sweetness before the cayenne kicks in, giving it a nice balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. The Sweet Carolina was a top hit, it had a tangy mustard-forward flavor with a touch of sweetness and light smokiness. I enjoyed it, but if mustard isn't your thing, I'd probably skip this one because it's definitely the dominant flavor. The chicken itself was decent. It had a nice crispy coating and was tender, but I wouldn't say it was especially juicy. For me, the sauces really carried the meal and made it much more enjoyable. One small thing I appreciated was that the restroom was for employees only. I completely understood since it was later in the evening and they probably wanted to avoid issues after the bars let out. I asked politely, and the employee was kind enough to let me use it while we waited for our food. Overall, the staff was nice, but the service felt a little indifferent, and being out of so many menu items, and waiting quite a while for my wings made my first visit less enjoyable than I'd hoped. I'd probably give them another shot, but I'd order takeout next time instead of dining in. Hopefully I'll be able to experience more of the menu on a future visit.

This was also my first trip to the collective as a whole, even though I spend a lot of time in that area. So the collective itself is cute, you have a lot of options in the same space. It can be a little noisy, but it wasn't so bad you couldn't hear. It was a bit distracting and made ordering a little more complicated but overall not super bad. As for the food, I ordered almost one of everything available for us to try. I was super excited to try them too, because honestly egg rolls are just amazing. Each egg roll order came with two egg rolls sliced in half and sat on a bed of French fries. Unfortunately I didn't walk away feeling like we won the flavor lottery. Each roll and filling combined their own distinct flavors but candidly they didn't have a lot of flavor. For example the Philly cheesesteak egg roll was good, but lacked the expected green pepper, onion, cheese flavor I expect from a Philly cheesesteak. The Chi, a play on vegan roast beef, had the oddest flavor to it. It wasn't bad, just really unexpected. We couldn't figure out what the flavor was. I felt it was a citrus flavor but that was just my take and even I am not confident in that. The hot chick (I think it was called) was the one I really wanted to try, because I love a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It pretty much just tasted like hot sauce with a little liquid smoke (which is gross and I smelled/tasted it in a lot of the foods and sauces). There weren't any other flavors I picked up on. I love Tabasco as much as the next person, but I was hopeful for more. I don't want to come off as disapproving of the food, honestly some people may love it and that's ok. It just wasn't for me. It's almost like in the process of frying the rolls they surrendered all flavor to a flavor that can only be described as bland fried food. I really wanted to love the food, but I can't lie about it. It was worth the shot to try something new, but it's a one and done for me.

But the filet mignon was great. Very well cooked and seasoned. Skipping the tenderloin, I went with the salmon, which was a tad dry. But perfectly seasoned. Flourless chocolate cake was ok, but I had just had a better one at the Edison a day ago. Creme Broulee was right on though. Loved every bite. Overall, a classy restaurant that requires being well dressed (though I'm not sure that the dress code is enforced much) and professional service. However, I went this past weekend and once again was so disappointed in their steak. They are definitely using a lower quality meat and at $68+ you just can't do that. My family is/has been in the restaurant business my whole life. Capitol Grill is cutting corners. I certainly understand that beef has skyrocketed however in lieu of that, offer a smaller portion-do not skimp on the quality. I was not the only one who had an inferior steak. Everyone who ordered it complained. It's not that it wasn't cooked properly. It is a poorer grade than should be served at this type of restaurant and cost. The sides were great as well as their deserts but that is not the main course. They should make the main course "shine". People will remember a fibrous steak even though the sides are good. Unfortunately someone has to say something or they will continue and that is a shame. Not everyone has unlimited funds to dine out. There are people who save up for months for a special occasion and end up with sub-par food. I certainly hope the management hears the message.
