I've been here twice and had vastly different experiences both times. The first time was on a very busy Friday night. When we were seated, we were able to order and get our food in a timely manner, which was nice especially given how busy they were. The server was kind And tried to be as attentive as possible, but I think that they likely need more staff to accommodate the number of people that come I'm busy weekend nights. The biggest concern this night was that they never actually cleared off our plates from appetizers, so there is a giant mountain of dirty plates at our table, even when we got our food. Multiple people walked by and completely ignored it, and even our waitress came a couple times to refill drinks, but never touched the large amount of plates. She ended up taking the plates after we asked her to. I don't actually think she was planning on taking them, and it was kind of gross to eat our main meal with a ton of dirty plates in front of us. The food was also very mediocre this day And the steak was a little chewy. The corn almost seemed like it was straight from a can and they put in some of the juice from the can inside of the bowl. I do like the option to pay at your table whenever you are ready, so that was a nice touch. The second time I came was a completely different experience and was a Sunday during the day. The appetizers were all incredible, which should be pretty easy given that they're all just fried food. The steaks were all cooked well and seasoned appropriately. The fried fish that my mom got came as a portion for about 27 people. The fries were all crispy and not stale tasting like the Friday before. The burger was cooked to perfection and incredible with lots of toppings. My grilled shrimp was also very good. My only complaint about the shrimp that it was exceptionally salty, but I was able to use enough lemon juice to make it more edible. The salads that you can order as a side are also huge and packed with tons of. The vibe of the place is very chill and kind of like any chain restaurant. I overall gave three stars because a big chain restaurant like this should be able to handle large crowds and it seems like the quality of food and service. Both went down the busier they got. Date of visit: April 2, 2025 Despite my husband not wanting to do anything for his birthday, I was able to convince him to use some of the Texas Roadhouse gift cards we had and enjoy one of our favorite chain restaurants. I used the website's waitlist feature on the drive over even though it wasn't very busy yet, but who likes to have to wait? We were able to get in pretty quickly though the handoff from the hostess to the person that seated us was a bit clunky. She however was very friendly and overcame that awkwardness. Our servers were Aaliyah and Ella who were both very friendly and brought additional bread right away, because who can eat just two of those suckers? The meals were also good, I just love the mushroom chicken and loaded sweet potato, and he enjoyed his chicken tenders. We didn't announce his birthday as we didn't want to go through the whole embarrassing ritual they do there. We went there last night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. It was OK, but for the price, I expected more. The waitress seemed stretched thin. We asked for more rolls multiple times that never came. Our drinks were left empty for quite a while. We were polite and patient, but yet she seemed irritated with us. We each had a soda and a steak, but none of our steaks were very hot. I don't know if they were sitting for a while before being brought to our table or what. We were trying to decide between going there and our more usual special occasion place of BJ's. This place is popular, and I understand why. For a chain restaurant, they do a great job. I have never had a bad meal at this location, and the packed parking lot tells the story. Service is friendly and attentive, even though they are busier than all get out. My go to is the Road Kill. It is so damn flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium rare each time. Loaded baked potato, and chili is a the sides. It is enough for me and the wife to split. Make chili loaded baked potato and enjoy that flavor packed, meaty Road Kill. Surprise of the evening was the Sangria Margarita. Wife was loving it. Buns were exceptional, and we had rattlesnake bites. Nice to try, but I wouldn't get them again. More time passed the Julie came and explained that for some reason our order was pushed to the back. She stared that she spoke with the kitchen and explained We had been waiting. We waited more time then decided to ask if the order was completed because we had a movie time to make. We were told "no" with another long explanation. We then stated to cancel. Went with the family for dinner to honor our grandpa that passed. He LOVED Texas Roadhouse! So what better place to go. We used the online waitlist to "reserve" a spot. When we made the waitlist booking it noted a 15 minute wait. Upon arrival we were told 10 minutes. It was another 20 minutes before we were finally seated. I always say it's so much better to over call time than under. Our waitress was great, quickly got in drink orders. Everything came correct to the table. Only thing was my well done steak was kind of cold and not well done. My brothers both had medium rare and their steaks were warmer than mine. I had stopped by three different locations with a gift card and every time my 12oz. Ribeye was undercooked. I went to the Waukesha location one more time and this time I felt I better talk with the server. The server's name was Ali. I told her the continuous problem I was having and she assured me she would speak with the cook. The steak was perfect! It was medium rare like it was supposed to be. Ali MADE the difference! It's too bad I had to learn the hard way. The rolls and cinnamon butter are fantastic. The potato has a good amount of salt on the skin. The corn is pretty good. We went to Texas Roadhouse for a graduation celebration. We made a reservation for 12:30. My sister and about 15 other people arrived around 12:20 but there were 3 of us who got there at 12:25. My sister called us rushing us to come in because they said since everyone wasn't there we had 5 minutes or they threatened to give our tables away. Now usually, tables are given away AFTER a 10/15 minute grace period and 17/20 people were already inside before 12:30. That felt very rude & it was very annoying as we were rushed inside even before 12:30 and we when got inside the tables weren't even ready. They separated us into 4 tables but unfortunately the waitress my table had was very slow. The other 3 tables in our party had almost finished eating before we had any food. We had to ask for bread like 3 times because she kept forgetting it. So the ambiance wasn't the best because we were a little irritated and hungry. Now when we finally got food, it was good but we do wish it had been hotter than it was. Because we waited so long we were so hungry I forgot to take photos of the food. I've been a loyal customer of Texas Roadhouse for years, and my family and I have always enjoyed good food and great service without any issues--until today. While I understand that rush hours can lead to delays, today's experience was far from what we've come to expect. I ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, cooked medium (with a slight pink). It arrived red, barely above rare. They did take it back and cooked the same steak longer. It was better but the flavor was ruined. The biscuits, a staple of the restaurant, were apparently out, and it took over 30 minutes to bring a fresh batch. These should be made regularly to avoid such delays. Our waitress did not offer a refill until I specifically asked for one. No busboys or staff came around to clear dishes. A large pile accumulated on our table, and with the tables being fairly small, this made for an uncomfortable dining experience. The loud birthday celebrations were disruptive. If this is going to be part of the dining experience, I suggest staff warn nearby customers ahead of time. One of the staff members suddenly yelled right behind me, startling me, and almost causing a plate to be knocked over. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and it's left my family and me reconsidering whether we'll return to this location. I wish I could give his location "zero" stars, but sadly it doesn't exist. My husband and I have become frequent visitors to Texas Roadhouse, within the past year, after moving to the Milwaukee area. The location we frequent is Oak Creek, but since we needed to go to Costo in New Berlin we decided to jump in for their drink specials as well as well as dinner only running from 3:30-5:00 pm, which we learned on this visit, are now not valid on Fridays (M-Thur. only). We arrived at 4:10 pm and although many tables were empty, we waited approximately 10+ min. as the hostess informed us that new servers would be arriving. When our server greated us at the table we were ready with a beverage order of two LITs (Long Island Ice Tea) for $5.00. When she returned to our table a while later we were informed that there was no "well" liquor left to fulfill our order and that we would need to pay an upcharge of $2.75 per beverage. I could tell that she was uneasy informing us. My husband responded by "it's not the customers fault that orders were not placed, and that we should be given the drinks at the $5.00 price, regardless of their error." We asked for a Supervisor/Manager to come to our table. While we waited and received our waters, my husband took a sip from his glass which was chipped, where he drank from it. Instead of the Manager visiting our table, who was busy trying to sort out the mess at the hostess station, a substitute was sent to our table who informed us that they ran out of the liquor necessary to fulfill any order for a LIT (Long Island Ice Tea and a change in the story). My husband asked this individual, who did not introduce himself, "do you know what's in a Long Island Ice Tea" and he replied "yes" but couldn't answer the question. My husband then informed him that for an establishment to not have their orders placed and available to prepare beverages for their customers (especially on the weekend) is not the error of the customer, it's the responsibility of Texas Roadhouse. This individual informed us that there was nothing he could do and that we would have to pay the upcharge, if we wanted the beverage (yet we were told they ran out of the alcohol required to make the drink). No substitutions were offered, obviously no discounts were offered and due to the lackadaisical response by this individual to respond to the situation, I told my husband that it isn't worth it, seeing as this location is not managed properly, employees are not scheduled properly, liquor and I'm guessing that food stuffs are not ordered properly and that this is not a location I will ever visit again. We told the manager we were leaving and that they could also keep their broken glass. I'm not sure if this is a gimmick to force customers in paying an additional $2.75 per beverage, for a $5.00 special, but if so, I think it's pretty low. We have visited the Oak Creek location at least 7-10 times in 2025 and will continue to do so, as due to the timing of this fiasco we were unable to return to MKE for a fun drink and dinner, due to timing. I just moved to Milwaukee and tried this location and cant even believe the food I just received. I ordered 2- 6oz and 2- 8oz steaks. 2 medium and 2 medium rare, but received 3 WELL WELL WELL done and 1 RAW, all unseasoned steaks instead, like almost inedible. Both the 6oz looked like 3oz, never seen steaks that small before. 3 salads, 2 with ranch 1 with light ranch, yet all 3 came with light ranch. One side of applesauce that was very clearly a kids portion (3 spoonfuls) even though it was ordered with a 8oz steak. My mashed potatoes had HUGE chunks of potatoes in it. Our rolls didn't come with cinnamon butter, or any butter at that. No silverware even though i requested 4 sets. And to top it all off, the to-go lady was so incredibly rude after we waited 25 minutes past our pick up time at 4pm on a Tuesday. And yes I tipped her. Just overall a horrible experience. The place is all wood with booths and a small bar with TVs all over the bar area. I had a summer shanty that was cold in a real glass which was nice on a hot day. I ordered the full rack of ribs that comes with two sides, mashed potato with gravy and chili with cheese and onion. I have had this before so I know what to expect. The ribs are meaty, tender fall off the bone and my favorite from the chains around. You get four rolls with cinnamon butter with the meal and I like to take the rolls and make rib sliders out of them. The chili is ok with cheese and red onions and the meat is tender chunks beef. Great spot for a great steak in Waukesha. We had a great server, Dae was very busy but worked hard to take care of all the tables in his area. I waited the 10 minutes they said it would take and went to the window to Inquire on the status of my order. They were not ready. They said give it three minutes so I went back to my car. I love the Madison East Side Texas Roadhouse. The staff are friendly, the food delish and the atmosphere is fun.

Food was great, hot and delicious and very reasonable priced , the waitress was very attentive. The problem was there was 6 in our party we are an elderly bunch some have walkers or canes. This was our second time going there. We requested a table for six since half of our party has a very had time fitting into a booth and sliding over. The greeter/ hostess both told us they only have booths and they aren't suppose to move tables together. This also happened the first time we tried Texas Roadhouse too. I asked to speak to the manager and he also stayed they have booths.
