I've visited The Kitchen Table at Relish many times and always enjoy my time there. Most often my husband and I meet another couple there for Sunday brunch and to play some games. They offer a huge selection of board games and card games and have amazing game tenders who can help your table select a game to play and they can teach you how to play the game. I'm always so impressed by their vast knowledge. I recently visited for a relaxed girl's night out. We had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the special drink of the day which was the watermelon margarita. We ordered a few items off the menu and ate family style. We all especially enjoyed the short rib tacos. Everything I've ever eaten there has been excellent! Brunch is amazing but it's also an excellent place to enjoy lunch or dinner. read more

Really fun place! I came with two girlfriends to get dinner/drinks and play games. The biggest appeal of the Kitchen Table is their awesome selection of board/card games. They have your standard games, niche games, card games, kid games, and everything in between! The game tender was super helpful in recommending a few games we could play with our party size. We ended up playing a card game I'm familiar with called Set. We all enjoyed our drinks and food. We shared Miguel's Stuffed Jalapenos, Loaded Chicken Nachos, and Short Rib Tacos. Everything was tasty but the short rib was my favorite! I'll definitely be trying more short rib items next time I visit. We sat outside, and since it got pretty hot, we didn't stick around to keep playing after we finished eating. We ordered bagel and lox as well as huevos rancheros and scrambled eggs. The bagel and lox left much to be desired in taste/texture/quality. But was overall decent. The huevos rancheros were tasty as far as the tostada and beans go. I just wish they gave way more beans because as you can see it's only a little bit. Granted, I ordered huevos rancheros without the dairy (cheese and crema) but it was supposed to come with avocados, and as you see no avocado. No worries because it was still pretty tasty. The pico needs work, tastes too tomato forward, not really getting the onion or peppers. The bacon here is really good, I also ordered a side of that (not pictured here unfortunately). We also ordered drinks. The mimosa is a pretty normal mimosa, typical. I ordered the Hive drink on the cocktail menu and it came with a real piece of honey comb which I thought was a pretty sweet touch. I also enjoyed eating the honeycomb after finishing the drink. I messed up and also ordered some blueberry drink on the menu and it was too sweet for me, which I didn't really care for. We also loved the gaming atmosphere, we love playing board games and they have a ton of mainstream and not so mainstream/unique board games and card games which was super entertaining. My wife and I just returned from a weekend trip to NOLA. We ended up going to Kitchen Table at Relish on a whim and boy were we surprised. It was a colder day and we were very happy with the heaters outside, it made the ambiance welcoming, cozy and friendly. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. As far as food, we got the Corn Beef Hash, Chicken Biscuit Sandwich and the Goat Cheese salad. All of it was fantastic but our favorite was the Tater Tots we got as a side. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. It's been a few years since my last yelp review The Kitchen Table was so good it brought me out of retirement. We didn't partake in any of the table top games but we saw many that we recognized and play at home. We went to the kitchen table at relish last night for a double date. This place is really cool. The food is amazing and the service is friendly. Plus there's an entire library of floor to ceiling bookshelves of board games. They even have a kids section so there's really something for everyone here! I ordered the Reuben which was fantastic. My husband got the cod and fries/fish and chips and he really enjoyed it. We got nuggets and fries for my daughter which is pretty standard. Our friends got the grilled cheese for their daughter, braised short rib, and a blt? Oh and the flash fried broccoli. They all thought the food was amazing. The only downside is there were a lot of flies at our table! There's indoor and outdoor seating and they sell vegan desserts behind the counter. I visited solo on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 and a good number of tables were full because of various parties. I sat at the bar and pulled out my book. The server was attentive and friendly, and the bartender checked in on me. They had 3-4 craft beers on draft from what I could see. Food came out in around 8 minutes, not bad. The Reuben was delicious, yet greasy enough to ask for another round of napkins. The side salad with goat cheese and a balsamic vinegar was really good. The side of cheese grits I added were also tasty. All in all, not bad. It would be a little pricey with an entire family or doing brunch and a couple drinks, so take that how you will. Relish is one of my favorite area restaurants in the Crabtree-Glenwood Station neighborhood. I have never had a poor experience ever. I finally checked off the brunch experience at their sister cafe/bar, The Kitchen Table. Located conveniently next door to Relish, is KT. I read about the vintage board game experience and wanted to check out brunch for myself. A friend and I visited around noon and we were seated immediately by a nice young gentleman and comfortably inside at a booth towards the bar. I enjoy the vintage-country charm of this cafe. Our waitress arrived to greet us immediately and we decided on the Special Caramel Expresso Martini. These were made perfectly. We then decided on shrimp & grits and the montecristo for entrees. Our entrees came out very quickly. I asked that my waffle be cooked to a crisp and the cook delivered. I do not enjoy soggy waffles. I paired my dish with cheese grits. I felt the dishes were good but nothing blew me away. What I did enjoy the most here were the cocktails !!!!! We had to relocate to the bar due to the air conditioner leaking water over my seat and onto the booth from condensation. This was the best thing to happen to us. Zack is the bartender and he was such a wonderful host. He makes inspiring cocktails and is a mad scientist with his creations as well as a great conversationalist. I wanted to try Elijah Craig bourbon for the first time and he made an Apple Butter Bourbon fizz with delicious ginger, this was excellent!!!! We chatted about the Tepuy donuts that they serve on weekends from the famous Tepuy shop. I look forward to visiting for dinner and more of Zack's creative cocktails. A great place to have fun with good and board games! This place is next door to the Relish Kitchen and Bourbon Bar. They have signs to direct you in case you get lost. As you enter, there's plenty of open seating inside and outside (with heat lamps). And all the games are located in the back. There wasn't anyone there to recommend games so we opted for the games we were most familiar with. There is a $5 table fee to play for up to 6 players. However, there are 4-6 games available that are free to play. The games are organized by level of difficulty and number of players required. There are many options for everyone! The games they offer and place itself is cute but the service sucked and the food was pretty bland. Ordered some beignets with apple butter to start, they were pretty good. The avocado toast was dry, the avocado was like a guacamole paste (not a real avocado) and the plate was overpowered with tomato. My last visit South, landed me in North Carolina for my first stop. This trip was slightly different from all others because I had the pleasure of being apart of my sister's bridal party. With a weekend of planned wedding related events, one of those activities happened to land me in a seat @ The Kitchen Table at Relish for the bridal shower. The place was big and very accommodating of a large party of festive ladies. We were seated in a little section off to the right of the main entrance/dinning area that was semi-separate. As we waited for all the guest to arrive we were allowed to decorate and chat without being pressured to start our orders. Once everyone arrived orders were placed and the fun was ready to begin. I had the wonderful opportunity to try fried pickles for the first time (unfortunately I failed to snap a pic). To be honest my first thought was ...hmmm, "I'm not really impressed" However, I must admit after a few more bites the Fried Pickles won me over and I would definitely order them again. I also order a fried shrimp sandwich with a side of fried green tomatoes (no judgement, when in the South you eat like you're from the South... lol). The shrimps were cooked to perfection but I was not a fan of their fried green tomatoes. Their Mac & Cheese was ordered by many and seem to be a hit as well. The kitchen table menu is pretty different than Relish menu which I liked. I got the daddy's chicken sandwich with the sausage gravy on the side (personal preference) and it was quite tasty. Also, freshly squeezed OJ and rum... Yes! My taste buds were pleased. I'm probably going to try and recreate that drink at home. The best part to me was learning a new game. Next to Relish - NOT Relish but they share a kitchen and not a MENU. It's a smaller menu and less seating than next door. But I am a fan of the biscuits and outdoor heated seating. On the weekends or even lunch - plan on it being crowded with lots of take-out options. To DO- 1) DO not leave without a Biscuit 2) Brussels Sprouts 3) Fried Chicken 4) Do you need more than that? I was overall disappointed in my experience here. The concept of snacks and games is great, but the food is overpriced and its quality is big time subpar. My brother and I were trying to play some games and we were bombarded by the "game tenders" who took up most of our time just explaining a bunch of games to us that we didn't even want to play.
