This is the happiest day of my life . I cried so many tears of joy when I was able to adopt my new female dog. I named her Sasha. Previously known as Oldsmobile. Sasha is the absolute sweetest girl ever. Sasha is what my heart needed. As a puppy she is very smart. Introducing to crate has been fairly well. Eating wow this girl can eat, run, do sprints around the house, yard and is super excited. I am too lol. Potty training is going very well in the morning she wakes me up with kisses to say she has to go and stands by door we go out. We have a routine. Totally recommend Homeward Per adoption to everyone. My boyfriend and I recently adopted a small dog from here. Elly was a delight to deal with and we're super happy with our new addition. Be prepared to fill out a long application if you want to go through this agency, but it's well worth it. I mean we were more than happy to drive to Yakima and back (from Seattle) for our ne little puppy. The adoption "donation" is super reasonable and the dogs all seem to be happy and well cared for! If you're looking for a new addition to your family, this just might be the place for you.

She has been the most sensitive, smart, cooperative dog I have ever experienced--a joy of a dog. She is apparently--according to DNAmydog--part Australian shepherd, Australian cattle dog, and poodle. But I also believe she has a bit of lab, or St. John's dog, or Newfie in her. I cannot begin to find the words to say how much she was loved. We had to euthanize her yesterday, Sept. 10, 2021. I cannot find the words with which to thank Barks R Us, or at least not the right words, because there are no words to convey my gratitude, not completely. She changed my life--and nothing can ever be quite the same again, now that I've lost her. Thank you for bringing her to me.

Yakima Valley Pet Rescue is one of the most genuine and honest rescues out there. They are…read morecompletely non profit and their one and only top priority and concern is the animals welfare. They take adoption very seriously and won't just adopt to anyone that "wow goes out of their busy way and life to fill out an application". Clearly the bitter people who have left bad reviews because they didn't get a response shows what kind of person you are and I'm happy yvpr didn't choose you to let their precious puppy go to. They know what they are doing. And to the other person, shame on you for giving them a bad review after they so graciously adopted out to a lovely pet. You obviously don't know or are just ignorant to the fact that the foster mom was just that to a homeless animal. You should be thankful she took care and volunteered her time to take in this poor animal to her home. Not demanding all this info etc. just be thankful for your new addition. It's sad to see how ungrateful some people can be. When you take a look at this persons reviews however you can see that clearly they are just bitter about their sad life in general and just complain about everything. First of all, let me start the by saying that my experience was around five years ago. At the time…read moreit didn't even occur to me to leave a review about this establishment. However, tonight I was visiting with a friend and somehow the topic of pet rescues came up and I shared the following story with them. After sharing my story, I couldn't remember the name of the pet rescue, so I googled it and found the establishments name and noticed that there were reviews on the place, so out of curiosity I read on and was appalled to find how many "one star" reviews there were, accompanied by their horror stories! So all that being said, I should have left this review years ago... Because to this day, I cannot share my experience without breaking out in tears, I feel like I probably have some sort of PTSD from it. Something tells me that I should've sued them. I have an Apple head, Chihuahua, a female she's the light of my life and my emotional support animal. She was pregnant with her second litter of puppies and just to give a little bit of backstory. My little girl hated being a mom from the first litter. It is to my belief that during the second litter when the time came to deliver, she flat out, refused to push! A long time went by, and I was getting worried because surely she should've had the puppies by then. I noticed that she herself was not doing too well. The only thing I could think to do was to take her into a veterinary office that I used to go to and pray that they would take pity on me & help me out; due to the fact that I'm poor and on disability, I had no money set aside for an emergency like this... So long of the short, my spouse at the time and veterinary receptionist were actively trying to find funding to pay for the services to save my dog life because she was dying. YVPR offered to help us out with the bill with a couple of stipulations. First, I would have to give up all nine puppies, they would take them into custody and do whatever it was that they were planning on doing with them and second I would have to give up my dog as well, so either way you look at it the outcome would be I would lose my dog, my emotional support animal. I had two choices, have them save her life, just to lose her to YVPR or let her die and lose her anyway. these are the choices I was given by a nonprofit charitable organization that supposed to help people, they were cruel, and I felt like I was being persecuted for being a bad doggy daddy. I told the veterinarian to tell them to go to hell, I'll take my chances, just please save my dog! I was in the hallway of the vet office when the veterinarian himself gave me my choices. Emotionally distraught and overwhelmed. I found myself uncontrollably, sobbing, and crying so hard my eyes were swollen shut and my sinuses were going crazy, basically making a spectacle of myself to everybody that was in the waiting room! As disgusting of a story this is, it did have a happy ending to some degree... All nine puppies ended up dying in the womb, but they saved my dog's life and the bill was $863 that I could not afford to pay. My little one was held by the veterinary office for almost 2 weeks until I got her back and the only reason I got her back was because some Angel found out my story and the fact I was being basically blackmailed and made an anonymous donation covering every last red sent to the veterinary office, paying my bill. Please if you need to adopt a pet do not use these people. They are evil and should be shut down. I only hope my story will help other people so they can avoid being a victim from this soulless organization. I'm not sure if there's any way that those people can improve their morals, their values and their business!

I intend this to be constructive: please fix your system!…read more 1. volunteers: please let the volunteers try to get through the system once so they understand the user experience and understand the waitlist app and how it looks, what the user sees, and how it calls us. everyone should have to do this. today i was treated rudely (like a scam artist or something) by volunteers while i was doing precisely what i was told to do by the waitlist and the front desk. 2. the waitlist app: the waitlist app is absolutely and totally broken. I waited through a list of 8 people and when I got to the top i was randomly dropped to number 5 again. I waited again. the third time i was at the top, I went to the adoption center they said my name was nowhere on the list at all. it went on and on! I was there for 2 hours of this. I know that you are underfunded but really--why is this so bizarrely inept and broken? Just make a PAPER LIST and call us, like a restaurant hostess would do. We didn't adopt, but we will from a good organization. And the place we adopt from will also receive our donation money.

A couple of years ago when I was traveling out of town on business, I got a frantic call from my…read morewife that our dog had gotten out of our yard and was nowhere to be found. I was in a pretty helpless position as I was not due to be home for several days. My son came up with a great idea and checked online to see if our dog had been found and turned in to the RASKC. Sure enough, she was there. My wife went down the next morning, paid the fee and picked her up. She had been well treated, and we are very thankful that they found her and gave her a good safe place until we could come get her. My son said that she was so excited to see him. She cried and whined, and fell asleep in his arms in the car. Thank you very much
