Not only did she remember, she apologized profusely about what happened. She told me I should come to the store earlier if I wanted my free item, despite me politely explaining that my work schedule only allows me to shop after 7 p.m. Her tone and attitude made me feel like I was a bother rather than a valued customer. She did write out of stock (see attached photo), however it was done to get me out of the store. My inquiry was to ask about the coupon expiration date and to see if there were any exceptions as I was told the bakery closes at 7pm. My time of arrival was after 8pm (see attached receipt and coupon). I shop at this location regularly and spend a significant amount of time and money there, so this treatment was especially upsetting. I hope this message can be used to improve service going forward, and that future customer interactions reflect the respect and appreciation loyal customers deserve. I shop at the store a lot, and I've also observed the many pricing errors now seem less frequent (meaning fewer trips to the customer service desk), and the folks who staff that desk often (but not always) are more friendly than in the past. The store offers a good selection of groceries, and prices, especially when one can catch a sale, generally seem reasonable, though as everyone knows, food prices have increased markedly especially over the past couple years. Many of the cashiers have been there for many years and I've come to know them by name and enjoy saying hello, which is nice.
