Fresh, tasteful and full of flavor. It hit the spot. The latte was amazing, and I even opted for sugar free vanilla (an uncommon choice for me) and was very pleased with how much I liked it. The straws were more for a smoothie though. The inside is definitely run down, and I would opt for carry-out but ordering was convenient and easy; both with the ladies working and the kiosk. It is exactly what you would expect out of a bagel shop, in the best way possible.

But after today's experience, I won't be returning unless the situation is made right. The person preparing my shawarma was clearly new and overfilled the salad, leaving no room for the full portion of meat I paid for. I politely asked her to remove some salad so she could add the rest of the meat, and before she could even respond, the mashgiach abruptly stepped in and refused in a rude, dismissive way. His tone was completely uncalled for, especially when I was calmly trying to explain that I just wanted what I paid for. Not only was I shorted on the meat, but I was treated with total disrespect. That kind of behavior drives away loyal customers. The mashgiach was out of line and should not be interacting with paying customers, frankly, he should be replaced if Yesh wants to keep its good name and stay in business. At the very least, I expect Yesh to make this right with a proper shawarma meal, meat-filled as it should have been, along with the fries and drink I ordered, on the house. That's the bare minimum for how this situation should be handled. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it.

I also got the 'Lombard Street' sandwich, on toasted rye bread. It had pastrami, corned beef, chopped liver and Russian dressing. Good blend of different flavors and textures. The 'Lombard Street Coddies' was a lil soft baked fish cake patty. It came wrapped in foil with a stone ground mustard packet and crackers, snack size. I expected some toasted crunch on the outside, but it didn't have that. Kinda smushy all over. Desserts: The 'Strawberry Shortcake' was more of a denser/ heavier cake with a cream cheese layer. Both cakes were good, but my preference is for softer airier cake. And icing that's lighter and less sweet.
