I visited Blueprint Cafe on a Wednesday morning. There were already a few people lined up when we…read morearrived, and it continued to get busier as we sat down and waited for our food. I loved the selection of pastries they offered--the pandan pastry was definitely my favorite. My husband ordered the drip coffee over ice, and I got the Vietnamese iced coffee. Both coffees were excellent. The Vietnamese coffee was a bit too sweet for my taste, and it was served in a very small glass. I think it would have been even better with a little more coffee to balance the sweetness. For lunch, we ordered the kimbap and the egg bowl, and both dishes were outstanding. The only downside was that it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive. However, the cafe was extremely busy and clearly backed up, so we didn't mind the wait too much--especially since the food was so delicious. The indoor space is quite small, but they do offer outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back and try more of their Asian-inspired pastries and dishes. What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

The play on sweet and savory is just so comforting. I also had the apple cinnamon butter muffin and the muffin top was insanely delicious. The crumble on top of the apple butter was gluttony. I beleive they rotate their muffins regularly which I appreciate. I've had their raspberry matcha in the summer which I remember tasted so fresh on a hot day. And I recently had their 5 spice latte which was a great balance of spice and sweet. Overall, I honestly would consider moving to the area just to live next to this cafe not being dramatic at all.

The bartenders were polite and cleaned our table quickly, considering the place was packed they were doing an amazing job. The Buffalo Garlic Parm sauce for the wings was clearly home made and without realizing it we were there on a Tuesday making the wings only 9 dollars, the blue cheese is very mild but worked well with the sauce. The shrimp po'boy was large enough to split and was comparable to a sandwich from New Orleans in quality. I was tempted by the club but the turkey isn't the style I like, otherwise I could easily see myself trying more of the menu because it's clear the cook was skilled. The rail ginger beer and rum was inexpensive and well made and their selection of beer while currently missing a few key dark beer items was not bad at all, they included some draft beer options as well outside of the standard light beers and National Bohemian. All in all I would see myself returning when I head to the area for Ottobar events to try more of their food menu, just remember to get there somewhat early before the kitchen closes at 10.

I know that sounds dramatic but it's true! I was shocked! The fries were a nice accompaniment that matched the chicken in quality + I love the addition of a pickle. I ordered the house BRD sauce and honey mustard and both were perfect in my eyes! The only downside was the wait, but I see it more as a testament to how good it is-- it was worth the wait for me, and it seems like many others would agree! It did take a bit longer than I expected, but when I got my food, it was evident that it was cooked fresh to order. I got my tenders plain because I don't love spicy food, and it was delicious. I also got fries, a side of BRD sauce, ranch sauce, and a slice of seasoned bread. Everything was tasty, fresh, and well seasoned. For $15 it was a solid amount of food and the tenders are HUGE. I couldn't even finish the meal. I would definitely check out this spot again for fresh fried chicken.
