So glad I found this kolache spot because I was missing it from back home. Although the kolache from back home has this one beat, Hruska's is a solid place holder. Their dough is soft and pillowy with a hint of sweetness, just like back home. I know there's a few other Hruska's locations throughout Utah, but this one, located in downtown Provo, is the perfect hole in the wall. The space is super tiny and adds to the charm of the whole experience. They have outdoor seating, but it's limited. I got the sausage, egg, cheese and Jalapeño savory kolache with a mixed berry sweet kolache. Both were really good! The mixed berry wasn't too sweet and the cream cheese filling was just so delicious. I did like my sweet kolache better than my savory, so I'm excited to try other flavors. The sausage, egg, cheese, and Jalapeño just lacked the flavor I was looking for. Service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely be back to try other flavors!

Several years ago there was a Kolache Factory in Minnesota. We have been sad ever since they closed. When we decided to visit Utah, we were very excited because we had seen Hruska's Kolaches on DDD. We arrived just after 8:30am and there was already a line outside. The line actually moved very quickly and in no time at all, we had a box full of goodies. We ordered the Ranchero, Egg & Cheese, Maple Pecan and Raspberry Cream cheese. They were all excellent and tasted even better than the kolaches we had years ago from the Kolache Factory. The Ranchero is perfect for breakfast. Eggs, cheese with a bit of a kick from some jalapeno. The egg and cheese was also very good. The maple pecan and raspberry cream cheese were sweet but not overly sweet. The dough of the kolaches was fresh and soft. Hruska's has several locations in the SLC area. We certainly plan to visit again before we leave. So happy we had the opportunity to try their kolaches!

Service was fast and quick. It is a little small. But they have so many flavors of Kolaches. Was definitely worth trying for my first time. We got 3 and the total was $17. The Hot Honey Pizza was my favorite!

What a gem of a place. Yelpers get it right again! Chose this spot after researching Yelp while on vacation, it was easy to find and was cute. Plenty of seating outside with umbrellas and benches. Ordered inside and ogled at their options available yum! Choose two bacon, egg and cheese, one raspberry cream and four to go varieties for the hubs. The bun was nice and fresh, fluffy on the inside and lightly toasted on the outside. Beverages are available from the cooler, juices and waters. Employee was nice and had no issues ordering when engaging with them.

This is my fourth time here this time I got here at opening at 6:30 still people buying kolaches but no line and everything's hot and fresh and toasty definitely the best time of day to stop by the only challenges they have about half the selection they do around 8 o'clock

Tried them for the first time while visiting Provo and they did not disappoint. The sausage/gravy are so good. The mixed berry and cream cheese were divine. Will be back when I'm in the area again.

Hruska's is a staple in Utah county. One of my favorite quick breakfast spots in Provo. I've been coming here for years but never wrote a review. Kolaches, these little balls of dough filled with deliciousness, are never a wrong idea. Bacon, egg and cheese will always be my go-to here. I also got egg and cheese for my wife. Today I decided to try the sausage and gravy flavor as featured in Triple D--where are my flavor town people? To finish it off we got a dessert kolache, the cinnamon flavored one. Everything was honestly so delicious, as always. Warm, fresh, filling! The dough almost has a sweetness to it that I love. The eggs, bacon are always cooked properly. The sausage and gravy kolache was nice to try but I don't think I'd ordered it again just because I know how I enjoy eating gravy but I'm glad I gave it a try. Flavors were there, it's just a different way of eating sausage breakfast gravy. If you've been thinking about trying Hruska's Kolaches, run, don't walk! Service was friendly and fast as always for how busy they were and the place is super small, so don't expect being inside for too long.

WOW. A short 8 min line before we ordered....but that just added to the excitement and gave us time to build anticipation. I ordered the sausage egg and cheese kolache with jalapeño. And the cinnamon one. Amazing and delicious. The inside was small but cozy, enough space to order and head outside to eat! They have Apple Pay

We love this place! Whenever we are in the Provo area, we are sure to stop and grab breakfast. It's a cute little place, friendly service, and excellent food! Our favorites are ham and cheese, bacon and cheese, and raspberry.

These is where you have to make some of the hardest decisions of your life.

Slamming!!! Their brisket hotdog jalapeño cheese, kolache, is out of this world. And I don't even like hot dogs. Ask for two mustard per kolache. It's delicious. You may wanna have it by itself.

My dad got the pancakes and said they were delicious. All the full meals were fantastic and a good value for the price. The drinks not so much. $5 for soda and $6 for juice. They are bottomless and the owner came around asking if we wanted refills or if we wanted our drinks in a to go cup at the end of the meal. So that was nice, but I'd still rather have a $3 cup of juice. I didn't have the cinnamon rolls (or maybe they call them sweet rolls) but they were small and didn't look too appetizing. I made sure to confirm this substitution was available before placing my order. After drinking it, I became concerned that my substitution had not been applied, so I tried to contact the store. It took multiple calls to reach a manager, but once I did, they acknowledged that a new employee had likely made a mistake and apologized. Although it was difficult to get in touch with someone, I appreciate their willingness to hear my concerns and their attempts to rectify the situation. When I returned to the store for the agreed-upon refund, however, the experience became frustrating. The manager, Aubrey, initially attempted to refund me for a less expensive drink and seemed unwilling to believe me when I explained what I had paid. I clarified that I was not seeking reimbursement for the tip, only the agreed-upon refund for my purchase. Her tone felt irritated and dismissive throughout the interaction. Fortunately, I still had my receipt with me and was able to verify the correct amount. Mistakes happen, and I appreciate that the store acknowledged the possibility of an error. What disappointed me most was how the refund was handled. I left feeling that my concerns were met with skepticism rather than understanding. Additionally, on a completely separate side note, while I was there, I noticed a customer had a dog inside the café. When I first visited with my friend, we had her dog with us and we were told dogs were only welcome on the patio because they had an open kitchen. So it was unexpected to see this dog inside and drinking from a reusable customer water cup provided by Peace on Earth. The inconsistency in enforcing store policies was surprising. I hope the business uses this as an opportunity to improve employee training and customer service.

When we arrived and sat down, we were greeted by Joe telling us that "House rules, you're not allowed to order the same item". Lol. Love that guy! We both ordered Denver omelets, one without onions, extra mushrooms, French toast, and grits and one without mushrooms, hash browns, and pancakes. First off, the pancakes were amazing! They're light, had crispy edges, and had a wonderful flavor. But the best thing was it was in the shape of little donuts, which was a nice surprise. Our entrees came but were somehow got switched. We didn't realize it at first but both were still good. Unfortunately, my wife put Chalula on hers and I put Tobasco on mine and we don't like each other's choice of condiments. The other unfortunate thing was that I had an eggshell in my omelet. Even though we had these misfortunes you can't hide the flavor of these dishes and they certainly don't skimp on toppings. My grits were too sweet today. If it's too sweet for me, it must've been really sweet. The only other criticism I saw was that they were filling the syrup bottles from large Log Cabin jugs. They also were using Idahoan shredded potatoes from a large carton. I can understand the potatoes but how great would it be to have freshly made syrup. Still a great experience and they are still one of the best breakfast places on the state.
