Had the pleasure of meeting the owner last night at the excelsior night market. All I can say is WOOOOOW. The food was delicious. They were kind enough to let me buy a sampler plate vs 3 individual plates. Their spicy fried chicken, veggie dumplings and tater tots with aioli are to die for. Check them out!
Came here on a Saturday evening around 7pm and it was not packed. Only about two other tables sat around me. Got seated quickly but for some reason the staff did not give any menus so we had to flag him down a few times in order to get the menus. The food itself was pretty tasty. I liked the raw marinated crab and shrimp. You should eat it with rice because eating it alone can be salty. Plus they give you a bowl of rice and seaweed paper with the raw dishes. The rose rice cake was absolutely different and delicious. The rice cake is longer and it was chewy. The jalapeno yuzu chicken wing was decent, it did taste like yuzu for sure but it wasn't anything that stood out. The food itself is worth coming here to try but the service is meh. The worker did not check up on us often. When he gave the bill, well he gave another tables bill instead and there were only two other parties in there.... Paid the bill and asked for a receipt but I think they just forgot to bring it out.
We came here on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend's graduation. It wasn't a packed house, so we managed to grab a table right away. They have a great selection of soju, ranging from affordable to premium. They even sell popular Korean food here like fried chicken, kalbi, spicy marinated crab, and more. Their prices are on the higher end so I'd recommend pregaming before arriving, if you're looking to get drunk. The owner is super sweet and came over to check up on us often. The space is large enough to have a mini dance floor. They play great music and even have a live DJ on certain nights. I've never been to Korea but the decor of this spot sure makes it feel like I'm there!

On par service! Food and drinks came out super quick! Recommend: Going before 8pm. Ordering the Monster Style Tater tots (5/5) with beef bulgogi. the Seoul Mate and Old Fashioned drinks (4.5/5) Overall, would definitely come back here! They hold events for holiday events. Next events informed about were Lunar New Year. Definitely check this place out even if you aren't a K-pop enthusiast :) Lastly, Demetri is a godsend!! He is the absolute best!
Anju!! My friends and I wanted to try this new Korean/bar place that recently opened. The atmosphere and vibes inside is vibrant with a fun DJ! We of course ordered soju's and tried a bunch of stuff on their menu. Their tteok bokki was unique since it's the long ones. A must try! Their cheese corn, galbi, buldak chicken, and marinated raw shrimp was amazing. We cleaned up every single dish! The only thing is that the portions are a bit small especially for the price. But I guess if you drink more you'll be less hungry? Would love to come again!
Very ecstatic pocha style spot that blends a Korean style bar with a night club atmosphere. There's a dj playing music in the corner making the place quite lively. Interior looks super artsy with a lot of posters and decorations hanging on the walls. They have a wide variety of soju to beer to Korean inspired cocktail options and a solid selection of bites to go with all the drinking. Came on a Saturday night and it was such a party in there where people were dancing and downing drinks. Pretty fun if you're into that type of atmosphere! Service here was super quick and our server + (I think the owner?) was very accommodating/made sure we were doing fine or needed more drinks. Between 4 people, we ordered: Golden fried chicken: soy hellapeno & yuzu delight - would definitely recommend! Super crispy and flavorful Monster style Tater tots w/ bulgogi -Tater tots were bomb Spicy pork belly - would def recommend this as well Tteokbokki - wanted to like this but it was just ok. The rice cakes texture was just too mushy Red monkey makgeolli - sweet with an alcoholic kick! Neoul bom makgeolli And Soju of course Overall a great experience, would def come back!
A lovely spot for good food and drinks that makes you feel like you're in Korea! We pre ordered the raw marinated prawns and crab and these were yummy - especially the crab!! We also really liked the raw octopus with wasabi. The soft tofu soup was a little different than normal as it was sweet but still great! Loved the teokkbokki because of the long and chewy ones! The fried chicken was a smaller portion than we expected but all the food was great overall. We got a variety of drinks including makgeolli, soju, and beer and enjoyed all of this. We unfortunately encountered a drunk customer who had an accident near our table - but the manager of the store was really apologetic and offered us some free drinks to make up for it. We'll definitely be coming back for their kpop nights as we were also a little disappointed we didn't hear kpop the night we went but were promised their K-pop's nights will be super fun!
The Food Bulgogi with portobello mushroom is an absolute must and a star dish. Super great with cheese and I had a side of pickled daikon. The daikon didn't seem too pickled, but serving, but slightly overpriced. I really could have done without the dragonfruit beer which one of the staff really pressured me to buy, but he also recommended the bulgogi mushroom which was spot on, I am just not a beer person at all and would have preferred another drink. Sometimes you try things you've never had for the sake of it and he said it was rare for some event. It did have a nice smell though. The Ambiance Very cute decorations, all bright, and cute stands with some other Korean snacks. The place while intended for adults as a bar, has several tables and local families came with their children (under 10 years old), who were running around which I found surprising, but also noted that it's a generally very safe and clean environment that is well lit. Verdict All in all, I'd come here again, but for other drinks. The mushroom dish was great but they have other ones I would also like to try. One star less for the beer, sometimes it's better to listen to the customer.
Super cool interior with images of korean streets on the walls. Very colorful and has cool neon signs as well. There is plenty of seating inside, mostly tall tables with bar stools. Service was great! Had my water filled multiple times and got asked how things were many times. Parking is okay in the area, but not in the safest neighborhood. We ordered: -raw crab: came with sesame oil, rice, seaweed pack, and gloves. Wasn't too spicy and tasted fresh. Also gave a good portion size. Limited portions daily! -KFC with yuzu sauce: juicy pieces and liked the sauce. The pieces are more popcorn chicken sized. -wasabi octopus: fresh and yummy! pairs well with soju. -plain soju Overall, would come again for the good service and food. We spent ~$95 for everything listed, so definitely more of a weekend treat meal for me!

Celebrated a childhood friend's birthday here recently with some delicious drinks and the friendliest owner and staff in town! Will be back to try the food and luxuriate in the amazing vibes.
My new favorite bar! The yummy drinks and bites. The vibes. The service. Everything is a hit here! And everyONE is a hit. In all honestly the staff is the cherry on top. Without them, it'd just be Korner Store Bites. Unlike other Korean bars, they have a full bar. Fancy cocktails where the ingredient list looks like an essay, and actually good wine - not just Soju. I liked their old fashioned and gin cocktail most. If you like sweet drinks, I heard they were superb, but I didn't try them because I was too busy eating and drinking. For the food - I'm not usually a fan of soy marinated crab or prawns, and I try to avoid tots but fusion Korean tots are a different game. And the seafood was so fresh and delish here. And mozzarella stuffed portobello mushrooms topped with REAL Sriracha? And during the shortage? No expense spared! They even gave us a Sriracha bottle because of our huge group, it being my uber cute friend's birthday, and honestly, because the gal bartender is just so so nice. So come here, eat and drink your heart out, pay a visit to the bar, and have a grand time. It's a VIBE!

This place is as unique as their food and vibe is excellent . I arrived early for my event and saw how incredibly creative the owners were . We were a group of international visitors who knew little of Korean food and gift wrapping . Yes , the event was to learn Bojagi and eat delicious home cooked Korean food . If you don't know what kind of event you want , the owner Ina will help you think of something ! I'll let the photos speak for themselves. I strongly recommend this for having your next party or team building or just a night out in your own event space . We had so many dishes and the Korean drinks were delicious.. we had maybe five different drinks ? We didn't have a chance to fully enjoy the music by the dj... next time . This place is amazing! We came for a girls night and left feeling like it was a memorable night out. Good: - The food is all amazing - loved the korean dishes like the gimbap and the american ones like the tater tots and the tofu stews - It's super easy to share - the kimchi mushroom dish was harder to share but it was quite the unique dish - The owner came and hung out with us for a bit in the middle too and then gave me birthday shots, which was so much fun! - The live DJ was super fun Bad: - Food does take a while to come out and we had to ask about where one of our dishes went, but they all eventually came out - It can get loud inside Overall such a good experience and loved how much care the staff seemed to put into making this a great new place to go! read more

We visited Korner Store on a Saturday night, and while it wasn't too crowded, the energy was great. Coming from Koreatown in LA, we're pretty picky when it comes to Korean fried chicken--but Korner Store really impressed us. We tried the KFC wings in the yuzu jalapeño flavor, and they were a standout. The yuzu was bright and bold, not too spicy. Highly recommend if you're into unique flavor combos! We also ordered the bulgogi stuffed mushroom, spicy pork belly, and spicy raw crab. Everything was solid, and the crab especially tasted super fresh. The cocktails were another highlight--very creative. I can definitely see myself coming back with friends to hang out, try more drinks, and explore more of the KFC flavors. The vibe is cool and stylish for the neighborhood, and the staff were friendly. Overall, a great experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving Korean food! read more

If you are looking for a bar serving Asian flavor alcoholic drinks, this is the place to go. There are a lot of street parking nearby. You can also get here via Bart. It's quite hidden so make sure you follow GPS well :) Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. He walked through the menu in detail. He also made recommendations for first timers. His device made this place a 5 stars for me. The food were good. They were perfect snacks to go with our cocktails. We lost track of time just from chatting and snacking our way through the evening. Sometimes the restaurant has special event. So if you follow the Instagram page, you may find some interesting theme Dj night. We missed Jay Park's night as we had to head out early. Earlier this year, TKS moved from The Mission to The Excelsior and it was the right move...providing nightlife to the south side of the city. They're open for dine-in (indoor) and takeout. No delivery. M E N U Anju, Korean drinking food. A la carte menu: Small bites, salad, meat (entrees), and specials: spicy raw crab and soy marinated raw prawns. They no longer have the $20 AYCE anju. Beer, soju, and cocktails (hard liquor available). Many Korean restos and bar only carry the green bottles (Jinro, Good Day, Chum Churum, etc) but TKS carries a line of premium soju that's worth checking out. D R I N K S * Jinro Ilpoom, 24% abv (shot - $9.95): https://tinyurl.com/45m8k5w6 Strong and dry but easy to drink with the slight plum flavor finish. * Golden Barley, 17% abv (shot - $8.95) Nice roasty flavor. The owner introduced me to Jay Park's soju (newly launched in the US) which is stroooong (22% abv) with a kick. Can't go wrong with a meaty portobello and melty, stretchy cheese. The richness is balanced by the acidity of the kimchi. * Spicy Pork Belly: Pork Belly w/ special gochujang sauce ($17.95): https://tinyurl.com/4mty8t3d --Add cheese (+$3) Spicy, tender, flavorful, and rich with cheese pulls...what's not to like? I know pork belly and cheese sounds like overkill BUT it works. The soy marinated raw prawns are served with a of hot bowl of rice with a raw yolk, pack of seasoned seaweed, wasabi, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Season the rice with sesame oil and *mix mix mix*. We were welcomed in by the kind manager and Ina, the owner made her rounds checking in with customers to make sure they were enjoying themselves. Prompt food service around 6:30 pm (not busy yet). New Korean bar in the area! There's a lot of potential and I'd want to come back to try other things! Vibes were good especially with all of the workers and owners being so nice and friendly. However, we did feel pretty pressured to order more food / alcohol since they came around so often to ask us. The place does feel pretty empty until 9PMish. The area is a bit sus and street parking is limited though. They hosted an open DJ night and music was good! My friend and I ordered the Tteok Bokki (2/5) and the shape was so abnormal like definitely not traditional Korean rice cake; we also found a long black hair in it :(. We also got the Spicy Cheese Buldak (3/5) which was alright. Lastly, we shared a Milky Yakult Cocktail (4/5) yummy but also you can't go wrong with Soju! read more

We came here for JYP night. Tickets were $25 per person, but it includes all you can eat Korean drinking food and a raffle ticket to win a poster. The first hundred people will also get some random small gift. We got here around 7:30pm and the place was already pretty packed. There was a great variety of food at the all you can eat station - fried chicken, fries and tater tots, fried gimmari and mandu, beef bulgolgi, spicy pork, dakgalbi, chive pancakes, japchae, and tteubokki. All the food were freshly made and straight out of the pan, and they frequently restocked with batches of new food. Everything tasted really good, and the ayce itself was already worth the $25. I definitely maximized on the food with multiple rounds of bulgolgi and rice cake. There were special drinks for JYP night, and we got the Maniac for $15. It had 4-5 shots in it and was similar to a long island ice tea. We also got a kpop idol gift card to go along with the drink which was nice. The place got pretty packed around 8:30pm, the music was blasting and people were dancing to their favorite kpop songs. People were respectful and everyone was having fun. Overall the vibes were great and it was a fun way to spend a rainy Friday night. read more
Okay, I hate how I haven't written a review for Korner Store yet... They only helped throw one of the most fun bday parties for my friend EVER when they first opened and I didn't take the time to review -.- The good: + such a cool, intimate party space. Loved their 90s hip hop music and dance songs later in the night! It was like Raven the club but with munchies, AC, seating and soju cocktails all within arms reach @___@ what a vibe, especially for a millennial like me tryna enjoy tings in my comfy seat lol + omfg they had an ayce small bites buffet that was only like $20 and that was absolutely delicious... + service was above and beyond.... I came here with friends before going to an event at Cow Palace and was under the impression that this place is a bar that just happens to serve food. However, after entering, the restaurant staff quickly forced us to choose a table to sit down at and order as a group. When the waitress came to take our order, I asked upfront if we could order separately on individual tabs because some of us were not drinking. I was abruptly informed that they do not split checks here. Okay. But why not allow us to order drinks and/or snacks (not a full meal) at the bar, since this is after all a bar? The situation left a bad impression, so I decided not to order any drinks and only ordered a small snack, since I needed something at least to get through the night. All my friends had come here before and spoke highly of it, but I unfortunately cannot relate. Where do I even start?? I love Korner Store! Ina, their owner is so kind ! They brought back their appetizer bites and let me tell you, they are freakin' delicious!! We had: The tater tots The fried squids The cheese corn Their fried chicken bites with honey mustard We were here during a Warriors game and enjoyed a $5 beer pitcher with some yummy flavored sojus. Had a fun hangout here on a Thursday night! They were busy but not crowded, easy to get a table for 8 at 8:30pm. The DJ took our request and my little group hit up the dance floor and had a blast. The owner is so sweet, I've only been here a few times and she always recognizes me! Our group ordered a bunch of tasty soju, as well as a ginseng rice wine called bekseju which I loved. Specialty Cocktails * Seoul Mate - 3.5 stars Our server recommended this one as the least boozy-tasting cocktail (though all the cocktails have the same amount of alcohol). It was sweet.. a little too sweet for me, and I like sweet drinks! * Gom Old Fashioned - 4 stars This smelled delicious, and it came with a fun teddy bear-shaped piece of ice! Strong for me, but I'm not generally into old fashioned's. But I'm sure my partner would love this since this is his drink. read more
Can't say enough great things about this place. First off, Dmitry & Avery were so nice and sweet. Great vibes for sure. The food was super tasty. We ordered the spicy raw crab, kalbi, and the korean fried chicken. They all tasted delicious! The ambiance is super chill, great for conversations and great for vibing out. Good food and fun vibe! This is a bar that serves yummy Korean food. My favorites were the galbi, gimmari and soy marinated raw shrimp. I would recommend making a reservation and telling them you want the crab, if you want to try that. They run out quickly. The staff was friendly. There was a DJ and it gets pretty loud in there, so it's difficult to have conversation, but you can dance instead! read more
Amazing new venue to hangout with friends, meet new friends, dance, drink and eat Korean snacks! There is a $20 cover charge, but the snack bar is AYCE, no extra charge (6-9pm) and it's a good selection of Korean treats from japchae, bulgogi, spicy squid, fried chicken, purple rice and all kinds of banchan. They feature different soju mixed drinks but also traditional makgeolli (unfiltered soju), makju. The owner, Aina and the bar staff are super friendly and makes amazing drinks. The downside, is parking isn't easy, so if coming here--catch an Uber. I highly recommend this place!! read more
The raw marinated crab and shrimp were definitely the highlights of the restaurant. Essentially a pocha like place. We also really loved the wasabi octopus, fried chicken with yuzu glaze and tteboki. Easy to eat and drink a lot here - be careful with the alcohol!! read more

I enjoyed the food and ambiance. On a Thursday evening, it was very laidback. We had reservations but didn't need them. The seating was on high stools which can be uncomfortable but I found them to be fine. Gender neutral bathrooms were a nice touch. There was a sign in the bathroom that I appreciated about the establishment serving liqueur but not advocating binge drinking. I think it's nice to address. The Korner Island Sweet and delightful blend of fruity flavors. The guava stands out. Nice subtle coconut rim. Wasabi Octopus It's red! And not super spicy. A pretty standard wasabi octopus. Tteok Bokki Chewy and delicious. Great sauce, bit of spice. Hangover Soup The broth is good and not overwhelming. The beef is well cooked. Korean Fried Chicken - Soy Garlic The KFC is so good! Love the soy garlic on the wing. It's a subtle blend. Corn Cheese Tasty. I like the crispy pieces on the corn and cheese. read more

Our ticketed events are 21+. Our normal diner service is all ages until 9:30pm. 21+ from 9:30pm to close.
Do you have TVs there and show sports games?
Yes, we have two projectors. We don't show the games regularly, but we will show the important games and playoff games for the Giants, Warriors, and Niners.
Does this place also cater to vegetarians?
Yes, we do. We have many Vegetarian options in our Korean Anju Food Buffet. :)
